DFS Alerts

Nets will start Irving, Mills, Edwards, Durant, Drummond on Saturday. As expected, both Kessler Edwards and Patty Mills will enter the starting lineup with Curry and Bruce Brown out. Mills will be a great value option as he comes in at the minimum and should play a large amount of minutes with a lack of guard depth available for the Nets.

Hassan Whiteside (foot) available to play Saturday

Hassan Whiteside (foot) will be available to play Saturday against the Golden State Warriors. Whiteside is expected to see the backup center minutes behind Rudy Gobert likely keeping both Greg Monroe and Eric Paschall out of the rotation for the Jazz. Whiteside is not expected to see enough playing time to be considered in DFS contests at this time.

Seth Curry (ankle) ruled out Saturday

Seth Curry (ankle) has been ruled out for Saturday’s game against the Atlanta Hawks. With Curry ruled out, Patty Mills seems like the most likely candidate to join the starting lineup for the Nets, Mills was already expected to play a larger role with both Dragic and Bruce Brown ruled out earlier in the day and now will become an even better value option on tonight’s slate coming in at the minimum price on DK. Mills should be considered in most formats.

Trae Young (groin) and Lou Williams (ankle, back) available to play Saturday

Trae Young (groin) and Lou Williams (ankle, back) will be available to play Saturday against the Brooklyn Nets. Young should remain in the starting lineup and should see his normal heavy workload in an important game for play-in seeding for both teams. Young should carry the load offensively for the Hawks and can be considered as one of the spend up options on tonight’s slate. Lou Williams should see some backup guard minutes but does not figure to be DFS relevant.

Max Strus (shoulder), Caleb Martin (calf), and Gabe Vincent (toe) all available to play Saturday

Max Strus (shoulder), Caleb Martin (calf), and Gabe Vincent (toe) will be all available to play Saturday against the Chicago Bulls. The Heat are extremely healthy at this point of the season and will have 15 available bodies as they look to remain the top seed in the eastern conference. Strus (especially if he remains a part of the starting lineup) projects as one of the better plays on the slate and should be considered in all formats. Both Martin and Vincent are not expected to play major roles at this time.

Zach LaVine (knee) will play Saturday

Zach LaVine (knee) will play Saturday against the Miami Heat. LaVine was listed probable so this was the expected outcome, LaVine should remain in the starting lineup and play his usual heavy minutes in what should be a competitive game as both teams are fighting for playoff seeding. On a three game slate, LaVine will be worth consideration as a mid range option in DFS contests.

Cavs will start Garland, Okoro, LeVert, Markkanen, Brown on Saturday. Cleveland will stick with their expected lineup Saturday and have Moses Brown see the majority of the center minutes with both Mobley and Allen still out.

Lineup Update: Hornets will start Ball, Rozier, Bridges, Washington, and Plumlee on Saturday. Gordon Hayward will make his return off the bench Saturday and will likely be limited to about 20 minutes or so as he tries to get back in shape for the Hornets. For DFS purposes this severely impacts his ceiling and pretty much makes him unplayable at his current salary.

Miles McBride (knee) ruled out Saturday

Miles McBride (knee) has been ruled out for Saturday’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. With McBride ruled out, the Knicks will be down to just nine available players and will be forced to use Ryan Arcidiacono to backup the guard position on Saturday. Though nothing major should be changed from a DFS perspective Arcidiacono should enter the rotation and play real minutes.

Bruce Brown (illness) and Goran Dragic (health and safety protocols) both out on Saturday.

Bruce Brown (illness) and Goran Dragic (health and safety protocols) have both been ruled out Saturday ahead of their matchup against the Atlanta Hawks. With both Bruce Brown and Dragic out expect Patty Mills and Kessler Edwards to play a larger role, Cam Thomas should also be busy off the bench as he should rejoin the rotation.

Lineup Update: Lakers will start Westbrook, Bradley, James, Davis, Howard on Friday. The Lakers big three will be back and should dominate most of the usage for the Lakers tonight with Avery Bradley and Dwight Howard rounding out the starting five. Bradley will make his return to the starting lineup for the Lakers after not being a part of the rotation for three of the last four games. Dwight will remain in the starting lineup as the Lakers will elect to play big with both AD and Howard starting. LeBron, AD, and Westbrook are all worth some consideration in DFS contests tonight, though the fact they are all available will hurt their expected production.

LeBron James (ankle) will play Friday

LeBron James (ankle) will play Friday against the New Orleans Pelicans after being considered a game-time decision. LeBron will make his return and the Lakers will have their big three of LeBron, AD, and Russell Westbrook back on the court for the first time in months. With all three back this could limit the production of the others but LeBron is always capable of taking over the game and breaking any DFS slate. He is worth consideration as a spend up option though he could be limited in his first game back since suffering an ankle injury (there has been no mention of this though).

Anthony Davis (foot) will play Friday; LeBron James (ankle) will be a game-time decision

Anthony Davis (foot) will play Friday against the New Orleans Pelicans, while LeBron James (ankle) will be a game-time decision. It seemed that AD was the more likely of the two to play so it is no surprise that he will be able to suit up on Friday. HC Frank Vogel said that AD will not have any specific minutes restriction but the Lakers will be “responsible” with his minutes. AD should instantly return to the starting lineup and should see a large portion of the offense run through him (even more is LeBron is eventually ruled out). If LeBron is ruled out AD will be worth consideration as a spend up option on tonight’s slate.

Malik Beasley (ankle) available to play Friday

Malik Beasley (ankle) will be available to play Friday against the Denver Nuggets. It seemed as though things were trending in this direction after he was upgraded to questionable a few hours ago. Beasley should reclaim his role in the rotation as one of the first guards of the bench for Minnesota. Beasley is still priced too high for his current role to be considered in DFS contests at this time.

Carmelo Anthony (illness) ruled out Friday

Carmelo Anthony (illness) has been ruled out for Friday’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans. We are still waiting on the big news if AD and/or LeBron will be available for the Lakers but with Anthony out this should mean more wing minutes for Trevor Ariza, Talen Horton-Tucker, and Austin Reaves. As of now none of these players are DFS viable but if more news breaks we could see a few more relevant Lakers.
