Eric Gordon (heel) ruled out Sunday

Eric Gordon (heel) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans. With Gordon ruled out, Garrison Matthews and Josh Christopher seem to be the most likely candidates to replace him in the starting lineup for the Rockets. Both should see an increase in minutes as they fill in for Gordon’s wing role. Kevin Porter Jr. remains a game-time decision and if he were to be ruled out more value would open up with Christian Wood, Jalen Green, and Jae’Sean Tate forced to shoulder more of the offensive load for Houston.

Sabonis should start and play the bulk of the center minutes with Goga Bitadze available to back him up. With Brogdon out and LeVert set to be traded, Sabonis should see most of the offense run through him making him a better play. Chris Duarte, Duane Washington, Lance Stephenson, Jeremy Lamb, and Keifer Sykes should all see more minutes with LeVert and Brogdon out.

Patrick Beverley (ankle) and Leandro Bolmaro (ankle) listed available to play Sunday; Josh Okogie listed out

Patrick Beverley (ankle) and Leandro Bolmaro (ankle) have been listed available to play for Sunday’s game against the Detroit Pistons, while Josh Okogie has been listed out. The only important news here is that Beverley will be available and will likely start at point guard for Minnesota. Bolmaro could see some minutes at the backend of the rotation but this isn’t likely with the Timberwolves getting healthier. Okogie was not expected to play much of a role today and any minutes he would have seen will be picked up by other rotational pieces.
