Josh Jackson

Toronto Raptors

Josh Jackson (back) out on Tuesday.

Josh Jackson (back) out on Tuesday. Jackson was already doubtful so this isn’t surprising. With Kelly Olynyk back in the second unit and Jerami Grant also back, the Pistons will have plenty of reinforcements to cover Jackson’s void.

Stephen Curry

Golden State Warriors
2/01/22, 3:34 PM ET

Stephen Curry (toe), Andrew Wiggins (knee), Otto Porter (foot), Andre Iguodala (hip) and Nemanja Bejlica (back) all out on Tuesday.

Stephen Curry (toe), Andrew Wiggins (knee), Otto Porter (foot), Andre Iguodala (hip) and Nemanja Bejlica (back) all out on Tuesday. This is on top of Klay Thompson and Draymond Green being out, so the Warriors will play this backend game short-handed. Our projections team is going with a starting unit of Jordan Poole, Moses Moody, Damion Lee, Jonathan Kuminga and Kevon Looney. Poole is the biggest winner here as his minutes become secure and his usage rate should skyrocket. Lee and Kuminga will also hold GPP punt appeal now. The Warriors have become the team on this slate for salary relief.

Jimmy Butler

Golden State Warriors

Jimmy Butler (toe) available on Tuesday; P.J. Tucker (knee) questionable; Kyle Lowry (personal) remains out.

Jimmy Butler (toe) available on Tuesday; P.J. Tucker (knee) questionable; Kyle Lowry (personal) remains out. This is as expected as Butler entered probable and Tucker entered questionable for the day, so the projections are as is. Butler’s return will shift Caleb Martin back to the bench and make Tyler Herro less appealing.

Deandre Ayton

Washington Wizards
2/01/22, 2:33 PM ET

Deandre Ayton (ankle) and Jae Crowder (wrist) upgraded to questionable on Tuesday.

Deandre Ayton (ankle) and Jae Crowder (wrist) upgraded to questionable on Tuesday. Both were initially listed as Out so this is a big upgrade. If Ayton returns and moves back into the starting lineup, it would shift Bismack Biyombo to the bench and would cut the playing time of Biyombo and JaVale McGee significantly. If Crowder returns and moves back into the starting lineup, his return would crush the value of Cameron Johnson, who has been thriving in the starting lineup. This is a spot we’ll need to monitor and look for news on whether Ayton and Crowder have any minute restrictions should they return.

Josh Hart

New York Knicks

Josh Hart (knee) out on Tuesday; Brandon Ingram (ankle) questionable.

Josh Hart (knee) out on Tuesday; Brandon Ingram (ankle) questionable. With Hart out, the Pelicans could elect to go bigger again with Jaxson Hayes starting. If Ingram can’t go, Jonas Valanciunas and Devonte Graham will be forced to run the offense again.

James Harden

Cleveland Cavaliers

James Harden (hand) now probable on Tuesday.

James Harden (hand) now probable on Tuesday. Assuming he’s good to go, he makes Kyrie Irving a less appealing option.

D'Angelo Russell

Memphis Grizzlies
2/01/22, 1:00 PM ET

D’Angelo Russell (shin) likely out on Tuesday; Patrick Beverley (ankle) likely playing on Tuesday.

D’Angelo Russell (shin) likely out on Tuesday; Patrick Beverley (ankle) likely playing on Tuesday. Assuming Beverley is good to go, he should slide right back into the starting lineup and replace Jordan McLaughlin, who received a spot start last game and did play well. With Russell likely out tonight, Malik Beasley and Jaylen Nowell will be tasked with more offensive duties in the second unit. The real winners here are Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards, as CourtIQ shows that they’ve averaged 1.29 and 1.21 fantasy points per minute, respectively, with Russell off the court this season.

Warriors will start Curry, Moody, Thompson, Wiggins and Looney on Monday.

Warriors will start Curry, Moody, Thompson, Wiggins and Looney on Monday. Moses Moody gets a start with Otto Porter out, meaning Jonathan Kuminga will not start as expected. I still prefer Kuminga over Moody in GPPs.

Jaxson Hayes

Utah Jazz
1/31/22, 7:28 PM ET

Pelicans will start Graham, Hart, Jones, Hayes and Valanciunas on Monday.

Pelicans will start Graham, Hart, Jones, Hayes and Valanciunas on Monday. Jaxson Hayes will start to go big against the Cavs, which is good news for Hayes as a punt option. This might mean Willy Hernangomez stays in the rotation as the backup center.

Kevin Porter Jr. (health protocols) may have his minutes restricted on Monday since he hasn’t been practicing.

Kevin Porter Jr. (health protocols) may have his minutes restricted on Monday since he hasn’t been practicing. This takes him out of the DFS picture for me personally given a potential minute restriction and a tough matchup against the Warriors.
