Marcus Smart (thigh) ruled out; Payton Pritchard (Health Protocols) available Wednesday.
Marcus Smart (thigh) has been ruled out on Wednesday while Payton Pritchard (Health Protocols) is available. Dennis Schroder is the most likely candidate to step into the starting lineup for Smart. Shroder has averaged 35.5 minutes per game this season as a starter so the workload should be there, but it’s hard to get excited about the Celtics from a DFS standpoint with everyone else still healthy.
As reported by: Boston Celtics Other tagged players: Payton PritchardTaj Gibson (wrist) questionable on Wednesday.
Taj Gibson (wrist) has been downgraded to questionable on Wednesday. This is somewhat concerning for the Knicks as Nerlens Noel also remains questionable as he ramps up his conditioning. Should both Gibson and Noel miss this game, Jericho Sims is a likely candidate to join the rotation and play some backup center minutes.
As reported by: NBA Injury ReportCam Reddish (ankle) now doubtful on Wednesday.
Cam Reddish (ankle) has been downgraded to doubtful on Wednesday against the Miami Heat. Reddish was originally listed as questionable to enter the day, so the early-morning downgrade is a bit concerning. Reddish only played three minutes in his last game before leaving early due to his ankle injury. Kevin Huerter and Bogdan Bogdanovic would be the biggest winners should Reddish miss this game, but also keep in mind that De’Andre Hunter is questionable and close to a return. Hunter could slide into Reddish’s bench role should Reddish be unable to suit up.
As reported by: Chris KirschnerMo Bamba (toe) and Wendell Carter Jr (hamstring) ruled out Wednesday.
Mo Bamba (toe) and Wendell Carter Jr (hamstring) have been ruled out Wednesday for their game against the Wizards. Chuma Okeke drew a spot start last game and likely sticks in the starting rotation, while Robin Lopez has cleared Health Protocols and should replace Bamba as the starting center tonight. Per CourtIQ, when both Bamba and Carter Jr. have been off the court this season, Cole Anthony has seen a +2.4% usage bump, while Terrence Ross has seen a team-high +4.1% usage bump. I’m most intrigued by Chuma Okeke from a DFS-perspective, as he’s averaged 0.90 fantasy points per minute in these situations and has averaged 31.6 minutes as a starter. At $4,600 on DraftKings and $5,500 on FanDuel, I still feel there’s upside at these prices.
As reported by: Orlando Magic PR Other tagged players: Wendell Carter Jr., Chuma Okeke, Robin LopezWill Barton (protocols) ruled out Tuesday
Despite the optimism the Nuggets had in upgrading Barton to questionable earlier in the day, he won’t be available for Tuesday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers as he remains in the NBA’s health and safety protocols. In his absence, Austin Rivers should certainly rejoin the starting lineup, and while he’s typically an inconsistent daily fantasy producer, he’ll make for an intriguing tournament target on tonight’s slates across the industry given the overall lack of value options at multiple positions.
As reported by: Harrison Wind via TwitterSteven Adams (protocols) ruled out Tuesday
Adams has yet to clear the NBA’s health and safety protocols, and he’ll miss Tuesday’s matchup against the Golden State Warriors, marking the third consecutive game he’ll be sidelined. In his absence, the Memphis coaching staff has turned to Jaren Jackson Jr. as the starting center amid their mini COVID outbreak with Kyle Anderson and Ziaire Williams starting at the forward positions. Williams has yet to be a consistent daily fantasy producer in his young career, but Anderson, specifically, is an intriguing tournament target that on a slate that is lacking value at the power forward slot this evening.

Juan Toscano-Anderson will start at PF in the place of Draymond Green (calf) on Tuesday. Toscano-Anderson is center-eligible only on DraftKings but does offer a fine source of salary relief.
As reported by: Anthony SlaterKhem Birch will start for Scottie Barnes (knee) on Tuesday.
Khem Birch will start for Scottie Barnes (knee) on Tuesday. Birch played 21 minutes on Sunday in a start and has been averaging 21.6 minutes per game this season. With the Raptors down Scottie Barnes and Gary Trent Jr., there should be more minutes to go around. Fred VanVleet and Paskal Siakam should both be in for big nights.
As reported by: Ryan WolstatGary Trent Jr. (ankle) and Scottie Barnes (knee) ruled out Tuesday.
Gary Trent Jr. (ankle) and Scottie Barnes (knee) both ruled out Tuesday. The Raptors went big last game and the absences of both players is going to allow for more usage for Fred VanVleet and Pascal Siakam. Khem Birch will start for Barnes, and one of Svi Mykhailiuk or Yuta Watanabe are likely candidates to start for Trent Jr.
As reported by: Josh Lewenberg Other tagged players: Scottie BarnesOtto Porter (shoulder) and Gary Payton II (ankle) both upgraded to probable; Jonathan Kuminga (knee) ruled out Tuesday.
Otto Porter (shoulder) and Gary Payton II (ankle) have both been upgraded to probable on Tuesday against the Memphis Grizzlies. This is a big boost for the Warriors, who will be without Draymond Green because of a calf injury and now Jonathan Kuminga with a knee injury. The absence of Kuminga isn’t a big one as he’s been in and out of the rotation. With Porter and Payton good to go, Porter especially should benefit tonight with the absence of Green.
As reported by: Anthony Slater Other tagged players: Gary Payton II, Jonathan KumingaRui Hachimura likely on a 15-16 minute restriction; Anthony Gill available but not expected to play.
Rui Hachimura likely remains on a 15-16 minute restriction, which takes him out of DFS consideration. Hachimura returned last game and interestingly played backup minutes to Spencer Dinwiddie, so it appears the team is content with slowly ramping him up. Anthony Gill has cleared Health Protocols and listed available but is not expected to play.
As reported by: Andrew Gillis Other tagged players: Anthony GillCorey Kispert will start for Bradley Beal (Health Protocols) on Tuesday.
Corey Kispert will start for Bradley Beal (Health Protocols) on Tuesday. In four starts this season, Kipsert has averaged 33.8 minutes per game this season. At $3,400 on DraftKings and $3,500 on FanDuel, he offers a fine source of salary relief.
As reported by: Chris MillerWill Barton (Health Protocols) upgraded to questionable
After being ruled out due to Health Protocols, Will Barton has now been upgraded to questionable for tonight’s game against the Clippers. We’re currently projecting Austin Rivers to start for Barton but should Barton be cleared, it’s likely Rivers stays in the second unit. The status of Barton has a big effect on Nikola Jokic, whose usage goes up +1.2% points and sees a 39.4% assist rate when Barton (and Michael Porter Jr.) have been off the court this season. In other words, the offense flows through him even more should Barton miss this game.
As reported by: Harrison WindBradley Beal (Health Protocols) out Tuesday
Bradley Beal has been ruled out on Tuesday against the Thunder. Per CourtIQ, when Beal has been off the court this season, Spencer Dinwiddie has owned a 26.2% usage rate and averaged 1.17 fantasy points per minute this season. We are projecting Deni Avdija to draw the spot start for Beal, who now offers some punt appeal. Dinwiddie is also priced fairly across the industry and he now sees a solid bump.
As reported by: Shams CharaniaCory Joseph (knee) listed doubtful Tuesday; Bol Bol (NWT) listed out
Joseph popped up on the Pistons’ initial injury report for Tuesday’s matchup against the Chicago Bulls and is listed as doubtful due to a left knee contusion. Joseph has been in a timeshare at the point guard position with Killian Hayes of late, so Hayes should theoretically have a higher minute ceiling with his counterpart sidelined for tonight’s contest, though head coach Dwane Casey always has Saban Lee available off the bench to step into vacated guard minutes as well. The role of Bol Bol in Detroit remains a complete mystery, but with him not yet with the team, it’s one less body that could have been available to absorb rotational minutes this evening.
