Clint Capela

Houston Rockets
1/12/22, 7:32 PM ET

Clint Capela and Cam Reddish ruled out; De’Andre Hunter is available on Wednesday.

Clint Capela and Cam Reddish ruled out; De’Andre Hunter is available on Wednesday. This was as expected throughout the day.

Tristan Thompson

Cleveland Cavaliers
1/12/22, 7:21 PM ET

Tristan Thompson (illness) out Wednesday.

Tristan Thompson (illness) is out Wednesday. This should give Alex Len and Neemias Queta more playing time, especially with Richaun Holmes and Damian Jones listed out.

Dewayne Dedmon

Philadelphia 76ers
1/12/22, 7:13 PM ET

Dewayne Dedmon (knee) available Wednesday.

Dewayne Dedmon (knee) is available to play on Wednesday. With Omer Yurtseven playing well, it seems likely Yurtseven remains the starting center while Dedmon comes off the bench, but we’ll need to see. There’s not too much DFS impact here other than it lowers the ceiling of Yurtseven with Dedmon back.

Kemba Walker

Dallas Mavericks
1/12/22, 6:56 PM ET

Nerlens Noel (conditioning) and Taj Gibson (wrist) available; Kemba Walker (knee) out on Wednesday.

Nerlens Noel (conditioning) and Taj Gibson (wrist) are available while Kemba Walker (knee) remains out on Wednesday. The additions of Noel and Gibson will provide the Knicks with front court depth, although I’d think Gibson could be the odd man out of the rotation. This news puts Jericho Sims out of the rotation too. With Walker out, Alec Burks should remain starting while Immanuel Quickley holds value as the main scorer in the second unit.

As reported by: Fred Katz Other tagged players: Nerlens Noel, Taj Gibson

Drew Eubanks

Sacramento Kings
1/12/22, 6:36 PM ET

Drew Eubanks (illness) out Wednesday.

Drew Eubanks (illness) is out Wednesday. With the emergence of Devontae Cacok and Jock Landale back, they should cover any of Eubanks’ minutes. There’s not too much DFS impact here.

Thomas Bryant

Cleveland Cavaliers
1/12/22, 6:29 PM ET

Thomas Bryant (knee) will be on a minutes restriction on Wednesday.

Thomas Bryant (knee) will be on a minutes restriction on Wednesday per Coach Unseld Jr. Given the long layoff for Bryant, he’s clearly not on our DFS radar. But with the emergence of Kyle Kuzma and the center duo of Daniel Gafford / Montrezl Harrell playing well this season, it remains to be seen how Bryant fits into this team. His return likely cuts into the playing time of Gafford and Harrell, and there’s no longer a need for Kuzma to play any backup center minutes.

Caris LeVert

Milwaukee Bucks
1/12/22, 6:25 PM ET

Caris LeVert, Malcolm Brogdon and Goga Bitadze available Wednesday; Chris Duarte ruled out.

Caris LeVert, Malcolm Brogdon and Goga Bitadze are all available Wednesday while Chris Duarte has been ruled out. This makes the Pacers crowded with the usage of LeVert and Brogdon back. This should push Duane Washington Jr. and Keifer Sykes back to the bench, and makes Domantas Sabonis and Myles Turner much less appealing plays. This should also have a trickle-down effect where Lance Stephenson becomes less appealing as well. Stephenson had been facilitating the second unit lately but the Pacers now have more bodies and guard depth with Washington/Sykes off the bench. The Pacers become GPP-only options for me now.

Hassan Whiteside

Utah Jazz
1/12/22, 6:05 PM ET

Hassan Whiteside (Health Protocols) out Wednesday.

Hassan Whiteside (Health Protocols) has been ruled out Wednesday. With Rudy Gobert and Udoka Azubuike already out, and with Norvel Pelle questionable with an injury, the Jazz are going to be short on big men (pun not intended). We could be looking at big minutes for Eric Paschall and Pelle (if he suits up).

As reported by: Andy Larsen

Derrick White

Boston Celtics
1/12/22, 3:55 PM ET

Derrick White (protocols), Keldon Johnson (protocols), and Devin Vassell (protocols) upgraded to questionable Wednesday

Derrick White (protocols), Keldon Johnson (protocols), and Devin Vassell (protocols) were upgraded to questionable Wednesday. White and Vassell were previously listed out, so this would be a big boost for the Spurs. Their returns would hurt Joshua Primo and Keita Bates-Diop, who have been starting as of late. Vassell’s return would also hurt someone like Bryn Forbes in the second unit. We should know more closer to lock on their status but if all three are back, it does make the Spurs a bit more crowded for DFS purposes.

As reported by: Matthew Tynan via Twitter Other tagged players: Keldon Johnson, Devin Vassell

Carmelo Anthony

Los Angeles Lakers
1/12/22, 3:28 PM ET

Carmelo Anthony (back) questionable on Wednesday.

Carmelo Anthony (back) questionable on Wednesday. Should Anthony miss this game, there would be extended minutes for all of Talen Horton-Tucker, Austin Reaves and Trevor Ariza. There’s not too much DFS appeal but if you’re playing a Showdown format, Reaves would hold some GPP appeal as a cheap punt.

As reported by: Mark Medina

Armoni Brooks

Brooklyn Nets
1/12/22, 3:26 PM ET

Armoni Brooks (health protocols) available Wednesday.

Armoni Brooks (health protocols) is now available Wednesday against the Spurs. Should Brooks return to his bench role, that would likely shift D.J. Augustin out of the rotation. With Jalen Green and Kevin Porter Jr. both healthy and logging plenty of minutes, Brooks’ return isn’t impactful for DFS purposes.

As reported by: Mark Berman

Rajon Rondo

Cleveland Cavaliers
1/12/22, 3:24 PM ET

Rajon Rondo (hamstring) downgraded to questionable on Wednesday.

Rajon Rondo (hamstring) has been downgraded to questionable on Wednesday. With Isaac Okoro, Ricky Rubio and Collin Sexton all out, Lamar Stevens could be looking at extended minutes. Dylan Windler and Cedi Osman could also see an uptick in minutes, with Osman being the more appealing DFS option as he played 31 minutes off the bench last game.

Jalen Johnson

Atlanta Hawks
1/12/22, 2:13 PM ET

Jalen Johnson (ankle) ruled out; Sharife Cooper now available Wednesday.

Jalen Johnson (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday while Sharife Cooper has been taken off the injury report and is now available. The Hawks continue to have a revolving door of injuries, with Cam Reddish downgraded to doubtful this morning while Gorgui Dieng was taken off the injury report and is expected back tonight.

As reported by: Kevin Chouinard Other tagged players: Sharife Cooper

Norvel Pelle

Utah Jazz
1/12/22, 1:38 PM ET

Norvel Pelle (illness) questionable on Wednesday.

Norvel Pelle (illness) is now questionable on Wednesday. With Rudy Gobert and Udoka Azuibuike already ruled out, this could leave the Jazz short on big men and force Hassan Whiteside into an even larger role. The Jazz could also go smaller with more Eric Paschall as their small-ball center, which he has experience doing with the Warriors previously. Keep in the mind Joe Ingles remains questionable while all of Malik Fitts, Jared Butler, Rudy Gay and Elijah Hughes also remain out, so the Jazz are dealing with some injuries at the moment.
