Pascal Siakam (protocols) and Dalano Banton (protocols) ruled out Saturday
Pascal Siakam (protocols) and Dalano Banton (protocols) ruled out Saturday. More news from the Raptors as they seemingly cannot decide who’s playing at this point. In all seriousness we should be set now that they’ve announced starters – FVV, Trent, OG, Barnes, Boucher – but you’ll want to keep an eye out until this game locks. Siakam’s absence is good news for pretty much everyone in the front-court and even FVV/Trent benefit a bit. With Banton out, the lack of depth at PG isn’t great, but it’s likely Malachi Flynn eats up what he left behind.

It never ends for the Nets. Sharpe has now been ruled out due to health and safety protocols, leaving Brooklyn short another body. The Nets also did not announce the signing of Wenyen Gabriel, so he’s not going to be with the team. Blake Griffin should benefit notably given that Nic Claxton is also out of action, so he’s likely the biggest winner here.
Other tagged players: Blake GriffinStatus Update: Precious Achiuwa (shoulder) will play Saturday now
Precious Achiuwa (shoulder) will play Saturday. He was questionable, then ruled out… now he’ll play. The Raptors have been all over the place in terms of injury reporting today, so we are probably not done with them. We’ll continue to update regarding his status in the starting lineup.
As reported by: Steven LoungLineup Update: Warriors will start Chiozza, Lee, Kuminga, Toscano-Anderson, Looney on Saturday
Lineup Update: Warriors will start Chiozza, Lee, Kuminga, Toscano-Anderson, Looney on Saturday. This mainly impacts Chris Chiozza – we did not have him projected to start initially, but he’ll get the nod ahead of Gary Payton II, so Payton becomes a little less attractive but still figures to play an important role with most of the Dubs regulars out of action. We also had Moses Moody projected to start ahead of Kuminga, so the value of those two is impacted as well, although neither player was projecting that well initially. Kuminga does become a more appealing target.
As reported by: Kerith Burke Other tagged players: Gary Payton II, Jonathan Kuminga, Moses MoodyStatus Note: OG Anunoby (hip) will likely start Saturday but be on a minutes limit
OG will return to the Raptors lineup Saturday night, but is going to be on a minutes restriction (still unspecified) and is not a safe DFS option against the bench mob Warriors. However, the ceiling is still high enough even in 28-30 minutes that he’s on the tournament radar, and his presence does negatively impact guys like Pascal Siakam, Scottie Barnes and Chris Boucher. The Raptors figure to start smaller with Siakam at the 5 and Boucher off the bench.

As reported by: Josh Lewenberg Other tagged players: Khem Birch, Precious AchiuwaStatus Note: Tyler Hall available to make Knicks debut Saturday
Tyler Hall is available to make Knicks debut Saturday. He will likely see some run on the wing with the Knicks in desperate need of healthy bodies, but he is not a DFS option at this point. Evan Fournier should see some extended run at the SF spot and Wayne Selden figures to get involved before Hall does.
As reported by: Fred KatzStatus Alert: Kemba Walker could see rotation minutes Saturday according to Coach Thibodeau
Kemba Walker could see rotation minutes Saturday according to Coach Thibodeau. The Knicks are very shorthanded with Immanuel Quickley now on the COVID list and RJ Barrett, Quentin Grimes and Miles McBride also out. He could be the second guy off the bench tonight and could feasibly see minutes into the 20s given the lack of depth, but Kemba is still a tough sell as a DFS option. If he’s priced at the minimum on your site of choice, there are certainly worse dart throws on the board. Alec Burks and Derrick Rose should soak up plenty of minutes as the starting guards, but given Rose’s recent injury issues, it wouldn’t be shocking to see Kemba get some extended run if Rose is hobbled at all.
As reported by: Mark BermanJustin Jackson available to make debut Saturday for Celtics
Justin Jackson available to make debut Saturday for Celtics. Jackson has signed a 10 day contract and will be available meaning the Celtics now have 10 players for tonight’s contest with the New York Knicks. Jackson should provide some extra depth for the wings and soak up whatever minutes are left over. He is not expected to play an impactful role tonight and with so many other value options available, it is best to look elsewhere in DFS contests.
As reported by: Keith SmithBrodric Thomas (protocols) ruled out Saturday
Brodric Thomas (protocols) has been ruled out for Saturday’s game against the New York Knicks. Thomas joins Dennis Schroder and Romeo Langford as Celtics guards that have been ruled out today. This now leaves the Celtics with nine available players to soak up all of the available minutes. The majority of the guard minutes should be played by Marcus Smart, Jaylen Brown, Josh Richardson, and Aaron Nesmith with Payton Pritchard also available. Smart, Brown, and Richardson can all be considered in DFS contests at their respective price points.
As reported by: Jared WeissRomeo Langford (neck) ruled out Saturday
Romeo Langford (neck) has been ruled out for Saturday’s game against the New York Knicks. With Langford now out, Josh Richardson or Aaron Nesmith will likely step into the starting lineup with Dennis Schroeder ruled out earlier in the day. Both Richardson and Nesmith should play more minutes than usual and see their expected production increase. The bench guard minutes should be played by Payton Pritchard and Brodric Thomas though they will likely not see enough time to be considered in DFS contests with better value options available elsewhere.
As reported by: Boston CelticsPaul George (elbow) not expected to play Saturday; Nicolas Batum (ankle) likely to "give it a shot"
Paul George (elbow) is not expected to play Saturday against the Oklahoma City Thunder while Nicolas Batum (ankle) is likely to “give it a shot” according to HC Ty Lue. With George likely out Luke Kennard and Terance Mann should play increased minutes and can be considered as some of the better midrange options on the slate. Batum will likely be asked to play big minutes with Marcus Morris being ruled out earlier in the day.
As reported by: Law Murray Other tagged players: Nicolas BatumMike Conley (rest) ruled out Saturday
Mike Conley (rest) has been ruled out for Saturday’s game against the Washington Wizards. With Conley ruled out, Jordan Clarkson or Joe Ingles will likely enter the starting lineup while the other will remain the 6th man that should still play increased minutes. Both should see an increase in expected production. Donovan Mitchell should see more playmaking opportunities and can be considered as a stronger play.
As reported by: Utah JazzKhris Middleton (knee) listed out Saturday; Thanasis Antetokounmpo (calf) and Semi Ojeleye listed probable; Rodney Hood (Achilles) listed doubtful
Khris Middleton (knee) has been listed out, Thanasis Antetokounmpo (calf) and Semi Ojeleye have been listed listed probable, and Rodney Hood (Achilles) has been listed doubtful for Saturday’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. With Middleton still out, Jrue Holiday, Grayson Allen, and Pat Connaughton will all play heavy minutes and should be some of the better options on the slate due to expected volume. Thanasis and Ojeleye should make their returns tonight and could cut into the minutes played by Jordan Nwora and Sandro Mamukelashvili limiting their upside. Hood’s minutes will likely be absorbed by the other available Milwaukee guards.
As reported by: Official NBA Injury Report Other tagged players: Thanasis Antetokounmpo, Semi Ojeleye, Rodney HoodCole Anthony (ankle) and Wendell Carter Jr. (leg) listed out Saturday
Cole Anthony (ankle) and Wendell Carter Jr. (leg) have been listed out for Saturday’s game against the Brooklyn Nets. With no Anthony, Gary Harris should slide to the point guard position and Mychal Mulder, B.J. Johnson, and Hassani Gravett splitting the rest of the guard minutes. With Carter out Chuka Okeke and Robin Lopez should see most of the big man minutes both becoming much better plays. The Magic, like most NBA teams, are severely undermanned and every available player should play a good chunk of minutes.
