David Duke Jr. (hip) will play Saturday
As expected after being listed as probable on the injury report, David Duke Jr. (hip) will play Saturday against the Orlando Magic. The Nets will likely only have nine available players tonight and Duke figures to be the starting point guard so he should play an important role. He can be considered in most lineups at only 4.6K on DK but figures to be one of the chalkier plays on the slate.
As reported by: Chris MilholenMarcus Morris (protocols) ruled out Saturday
Marcus Morris (protocols) has been ruled out for Saturday’s game against Oklahoma City Thunder. With no Morris, the Clippers might elect to go smaller adding Luke Kennard to the starting lineup. Kennard has the ability to go nuclear on any given night from behind the three point line and should get a fair amount of opportunities tonight. Other candidates to see minutes in smaller lineups include Terance Mann, Eric Bledsoe, and Brandon Boston. Isaiah Hartenstein could see some more minutes as he and Zubac are the only true big men available for the Clippers.
As reported by: Law MurrayDennis Schroder (illness) ruled out Saturday; Romeo Langford (neck) questionable Saturday
Dennis Schroder (illness) has been ruled out for Saturday’s game against the New York Knicks, while Romeo Langford (neck) is listed as questionable. With Schroder out, Marcus Smart will likely shift to the point and Josh Richardson, Romeo Langford, or Aaron Nesmith sliding into the starting lineup. Richardson, Langford, and Nesmith all become better plays due to increased minutes and can be considered in lineups. If Langford were to be ruled out, Richardson and Nesmith would see a further bump in minutes and expected production.

Nic Claxton (wrist) is now doubtful for Saturday’s game against the Orlando Magic. With Claxton now unlikely to play the Nets only have 9 available bodies, whou should all see a decent amount of run. All Nets can be considered especially the value pieces like David Duke, Kessler Edwards, and Day’Ron Sharpe. Sharpe should pick up the bulk of the big man minutes with Claxton out and the Nets could elect to go smaller with Blake Griffin at the five.

As expected, Ball has officially been upgraded from probable and will be available to play in Friday’s matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers after missing the previous six games due to the NBA’s health and safety protocols and reconditioning. With Ball’s return to the starting lineup, the Hornets are on track to be at full strength for the first time in quite a while, which is good news for them, but not great for their projected value in daily fantasy formats on tonight’s slate. As for Ball, there’s been no report of a formal minute restriction in his first game back, but even when he’s been healthy, Charlotte has typically kept him as close to 30 minutes as they can whenever possible
As reported by: Charlotte Hornets PR via TwitterTyrese Haliburton (back) and Chimezie Metu (knee) will play Friday
Haliburton and Metu have both officially been upgraded from questionable and will be available to play in Friday’s matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies despite dealing with their respective ailments. However, the Kings are still dangerously shorthanded for tonight’s contest with six players currently in the NBA’s health and safety protocols and Richaun Holmes still sidelined with an eye injury. In De’Aaron Fox, Davion Mitchell, and Alex Len’s absences, acting interim head coach Doug Christie will opt to start Metu, Buddy Hield, and Tristan Thompson in their places, leaving the bench unit to consist of a bunch of players with little-to-no NBA experience and Justin Robinson, who will be available after signing a 10-day contract on a hardship exception earlier in the day.

Walker has officially been upgraded from questionable and will be available to play in Friday’s matchup against the Utah Jazz after missing one game due to a non-COVID related illness. In his absence, Bryn Forbes, Tre Jones, and Keit Bates-Diop all saw increased playing time in the second unit, totaling between 17-20 minutes, respectively, while Thaddeus Young even saw some sporadic playing time in the second half of Wednesday loss. With another wing body at the disposal of Spurs’ head coach Gregg Popovich with Walker available, expect those minute totals to decrease and more than likely create a DNP-CD for Young and potentially another member of the backend of the rotation this evening.
