Furkan Korkmaz (illness) and Georges Niang (health protocols) ruled out Wednesday
Korkmaz has officially been downgraded from questionable and has been ruled out of Wednesday’s matchup against the Miami Heat due to a non-COVID related illness, while Niang previously entered the NBA’s health and safety protocols and is presently without a timetable for a return. Assuming Joel Embiid and Seth Curry can suit up for tonight’s contest following their one-game absence, the unavailability of Korkmaz and Niang will have more of an impact on the second unit than the starters with Isaiah Joe now having a secured role off the bench and Danny Green and Shake Milton potentially absorbing more extensive minute workloads than they have in recent games.
As reported by: Noah Levick via Twitter Other tagged players: Georges NiangMarvin Bagley (health protocols) listed out Wednesday
Bagley is a new addition to the Kings’ injury report and has been ruled out of Wednesday’s matchup against the Washington Wizards as he’s entered the NBA’s health and safety protocols and will be sidelined for a presently undetermined amount of time. Interim head coach Alvin Gentry has been utilizing a three-man committee at the center position of late, so there may not be as much playing time available at the frontcourt positions as there appears at a surface level even with Richaun Holmes likely to miss another game. Chimezie Metu should start a second straight contest at power forward, but since he’s typically limited to minutes in low-to-mid 20s, there’s room for players like Harrison Barnes or Terence Davis to see increased minute workloads with Bagley sidelined this evening.
As reported by: NBA Official Injury ReportChristian Wood (knee) ruled out Wednesday
The Rockets still haven’t officially updated their injury report, but head coach Stephen Silas confirmed during a local Houston radio interview that Wood won’t play in Wednesday’s matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers and is also unlikely to Thursday due to left knee tendinitis. Meanwhile, Eric Gordon will also be held out on the front end of a back-to-back set but is expected to return for tomorrow’s contest. In Wood’s absence, Alperen Sengun should join the starting lineup to counter the Cavaliers big frontcourt, and with Daniel Theis in-and-out of the rotation of late, Sengun should have a safer minute floor than usual as a starter this evening.
As reported by: Adam Wexler via TwitterMason Plumlee (rib) upgraded to probable Wednesday
Plumlee has officially been upgraded from questionable to probable on the Hornets’ injury report for Wednesday’s matchup against the San Antonio Spurs after missing extended time due to a rib contusion. The Hornets are slowly trending towards a full-strength roster after being ravaged by injuries and players entering the NBA health and safety protocols, so barring some sort of minute restriction, Plumlee should reclaim the starting center role from Nick Richards, who was limited to just three minutes despite starting the Hornets previous game. Jalen McDaniels is also slated to return for tonight’s contest, so JT Thor should also find himself out of the rotation along with Richards this evening.
As reported by: Charlotte Hornets PR via TwitterDeAndre Ayton (illness) will play Tuesday
Ayton has officially been upgraded from questionable and will play in Tuesday’s matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers after missing two consecutive games due to a non-COVID related illness, while Jalen Smith will be unavailable for a second straight night with the same illness following his stellar daily fantasy performance in 21 minutes of action off the bench in relief of Ayton in last Friday’s win. There’s been no reports of a potential minute restriction for Ayton, so he should be expected to handle his usual minute workload in tonight’s contest, relegating Javale McGee back to his usual reserve center role this evening.
As reported by: Kellan Olson via TwitterKevin Durant (ankle) available to play Tuesday
Despite being a late addition to the Nets’ injury report, Durant has been cleared to play and will be available for Tuesday’s matchup against the Toronto Raptors after being listed as questionable with right ankle soreness. The Nets were already without Paul Millsap, LaMarcus Aldridge, DeAndre Bembry, James Johnson, and Jevon Carter due to the NBA’s health and safety protocols, but now they’ll be even more shorthanded with James Harden and Bruce Brown entering the protocols and will be out for a currently undetermined amount of time as well. These absences should lead to Nic Claxton and Blake Griffin receiving the starts alongside Kevin Durant in the frontcourt, while David Duke Jr. figures to be the leading candidate to start in the backcourt in place of Harden since head coach Steve Nash has preferred to keep Cam Thomas in a reserve role whenever possible to this point in the season.

The Nets were already without Paul Millsap, LaMarcus Aldridge, DeAndre Bembry, James Johnson, and Jevon Carter due to the NBA’s health and safety protocols, but now they’ll be even more shorthanded for Tuesday’s matchup against the Toronto Raptors as Harden and Brown have both entered the protocols and will be out for a currently undetermined amount of time as well. Their absences should lead to Nic Claxton and Blake Griffin receiving the starts alongside Kevin Durant in the frontcourt, while David Duke Jr. figures to be the leading candidate to start in the backcourt in place of Harden since head coach Steve Nash has preferred to keep Cam Thomas in a reserve role whenever possible to this point in the season.
As reported by: Malika Andrews via Twitter Other tagged players: Bruce BrownDeandre Ayton (illness) questionable Tuesday; Devin Booker (hamstring) and Jalen Smith (illness) remain out
Ayton has been included in the Suns’ initial injury report and is currently listed as questionable for matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers due to a non-COVID related illness that’s already forced him to miss two consecutive games, while Jalen Smith will be unavailable for a second straight night with the same illness following his stellar daily fantasy performance in 21 minutes of action off the bench in last Friday’s win. If both Ayton and Smith are out once again, JaVale McGee will receive the starting nod at the center position, and while he’s never really had a long leash as a starter in the past, he should be given the opportunity to play as many minutes he can handle as the lone center on the Suns’ active roster with Frank Kaminsky also sidelined for the rest of the season.
As reported by: Jamie Hudson via Twitter Other tagged players: Devin Booker, Jalen SmithOtto Porter Jr. (foot) listed out Tuesday
Porter Jr. has been included in the Warriors’ initial injury report and is listed as out for Tuesday’s matchup against the New York Knicks due to injury management of his left foot on the second leg of a back-to-back set. Andre Iguodala was held out of Monday’s win for rest purposes as well, so his return mitigates the absence of Porter from the second unit as Iguodala should just step into his vacated minutes off the bench in tonight’s contest. On top of that, head coach Steve Kerr isn’t afraid to expand his rotation when missing a key piece, making it difficult to truly target any of the ancillary Warriors players in large-field tournament formats across the industry this evening.
As reported by: NBA Official Injury ReportKevin Durant (ankle) downgraded to questionable Tuesday
Durant is a new addition to the Nets’ injury report and is currently listed as questionable for Tuesday’s matchup against the Toronto Raptors due to right ankle soreness. The Nets are already without Paul Millsap, LaMarcus Aldridge, DeAndre Bembry, James Johnson, and Jevon Carter as they have all entered the NBA’s health and safety protocols and will be out for a currently undetermined amount of time, so it seems plausible the Nets may just punt tonight’s contest and hold Durant rest out for rest purposes. The absence of Aldridge should lead to one of Nic Claxton or Blake Griffin receiving the start at the center position, while Bruce Brown figures to be the leading candidate to start on the wing in place of Bembry since head coach Steve Nash has preferred to keep Cam Thomas in a reserve role whenever possible to this point in the season.

The Nets were already without Paul Millsap due to the NBA’s health and safety protocols, but now they’ll be extremely shorthanded for Tuesday’s matchup against the Toronto Raptors as Aldridge, Bembry, Johnson, and Carter have all entered the protocols and will be out for a currently undetermined amount of time. Their absences should lead to one of Nic Claxton or Blake Griffin receiving the start at the center position alongside Kevin Durant in the frontcourt, while Bruce Brown figures to be the leading candidate to start on the wing in place of Bembry since head coach Steve Nash has preferred to keep Cam Thomas in a reserve role whenever possible to this point in the season.
As reported by: Shams Charania via Twitter Other tagged players: DeAndre Bembry, James Johnson, Jevon CarterDeandre Ayton (illness) and Jalen Smith (illness) ruled out Monday
Ayton has officially been downgraded from questionable and won’t play in Monday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers due to a non-COVID related illness that’s now forced him to miss two consecutive games, while Smith will also be unavailable with the same illness following his stellar daily fantasy performance in 21 minutes of action off the bench in the Suns’ previous game. With both Ayton and Smith unable to suit up, JaVale McGee will receive the starting nod at the center position, and while he’s never really had a long leash as a starter in the past, he should be given the opportunity to play as many minutes he can handle as the lone center on the Suns’ active roster with Frank Kaminsky also sidelined for the rest of the season.
As reported by: Gerald Bourguet via Twitter Other tagged players: Jalen SmithWill Barton (illness) ruled out Monday; Aaron Gordon (back) available to play
Barton has officially been downgraded from questionable and won’t play in Monday’s matchup against the Washington Wizards due to a non-COVID related illness that has now forced him to miss two consecutive games, while Gordon will be available to play despite being a late addition to the Nuggets’ injury report with low back pain. In Barton’s absence, Davon Reed will receive the starting nod alongside Monte Morris in the backcourt once again, but in his first spot start, he was limited to fewer than 17 minutes even though he was efficient for daily fantasy purposes in his time on the floor. Instead, Bones Hyland, Facundo Campazzo, and even Markus Howard saw upticks in playing time off the bench in the Nuggets’ previous game with Barton sidelined.
As reported by: Harrison Wind via Twitter Other tagged players: Aaron GordonPJ Washington (illness) available to play Monday
Washington has officially been upgraded from questionable and will be available to play in Monday’s matchup against the Dallas Mavericks after missing one game due to a non-COVID related illness. The Hornets will also have the services of Terry Rozier and Nick Richards in tonight’s contest following their respective absences, so slowly but surely, they’re beginning to approach the stages of having a mostly healthy active roster. Washington will resume his typical key reserve role with Richards drawing the start at center, and even though he’ll easily see more playing time than his frontcourt counterpart, Washington and most of the Hornets players are overpriced for their current median projections with Rozier clearing the health and safety protocols and available to return this evening.
As reported by: the Charlotte Hornets via TwitterJustin Holiday (reconditioning) ruled out Monday; Brad Wanamaker (illness) available to play
There was some optimism Holiday would be able to return to the lineup after a lengthy bout with COVID-19, but he’s been ruled out yet again and won’t play in Monday’s matchup against the Golden State Warriors as he continues to ramp up his conditioning. Meanwhile, Wanamaker has been cleared to play despite battling a non-COVID related illness, and he’ll continue to serve as the backup point guard behind Malcolm Brogdon since T.J. McConnell will be sidelined for a lengthy period following wrist ligament surgery. The continued absence of Holiday will allow Jeremy Lamb to remain in the rotation for at least one more game before his second unit role becomes in danger of disappearing.
