Lineup update: Lakers will start Schroder, Caldwell-Pope, James, Davis, and Drummond Sunday

The Lakers will have their preferred starting lineup; LeBron, AD, and Drummond in the frontcourt, with KCP and Schroder in the backcourt. Tough to play anyone as the Lakers will rest LeBron and AD likely if they get out to a big lead, and the rest of the players are tough to prioritize compared to other value on the slate.

Lineup update: Nuggets will start Campazzo, Rivers, Gordon, Porter Jr., and Jokic Sunday

Jokic and the rest of the regular Nuggets will get the start, but there’s a high likelihood they get benched. The Nuggets have been notorious in years past for throwing games to prevent seeding issues, and if they lose, they’ll avoid the Lakers in the first round. It’s tough to trust for sure, but it’s likely that they’ll end up getting some rest as the game goes on.

Anthony Davis available to play Sunday

AD was cleared to play, and will start for the Lakers against the New Orleans Pelicans. There’s been no mention of a minutes limit, so he should be full systems go for the Lakers. All the Lakers are active, so it’ll be tough to prioritize any of the starters

DeMarcus Cousins ruled out Sunday

Cousins was a late scratch for the Clippers with foot soreness as the Clippers prepare to play the OKC Thunder. With Zubac only expected to play the first few minutes, Ibaka and Jay Scrubb will split the center minutes, with Scrubb likely to play heavy minutes; he played 38 last game.

Lineup update: Wolves will start Russell, Edwards, McDaniels, Vanderbilt, and Towns Sunday

Ricky Rubio will come off the bench for the Wolves, as Vanderbilt moves into the starting lineup. Rubio is impossible to play, while Vanderbilt should have some more upside as a cheap player with upside for minutes.

Maxi Kleber ruled out Sunday

Kleber was ruled out due to Achilles soreness and will miss his second straight game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. It should be a few more minutes for Dorian Finney-Smith, Dwight Powell, and Kristaps Porzingis.

Lineup update: Thunder will start Maledon, Poku, Hall, Roby, and Brown Sunday

Josh Hall will get the start for the Thunder, and may end up playing big minutes for the team as they try to lose tonight. Coach Daigneault also mentioned that Poku would play some point guard, which may put Maledon’s minutes at risk. Bazley moves to the bench, but overall the Thunder are a team to likely stay away from.

LeBron James will play Sunday; Anthony Davis a game-time decision, but expected to play

Coach Vogel mentioned in his pre-game news conference that LeBron will play through his ankle injury against the New Orleans Pelicans. Davis will be a game-time decision, but is expected to play despite his shoulder soreness. The rest of the team will be available, so the Lakers may not push LeBron or AD too much; they both played 28 minutes last game. The rest of the Lakers will be tough to prioritize now that both are active; it’s likely best to stay away from the team as a whole.

Mason Plumlee, and Frank Jackson ruled out Sunday

Plumlee was a late scratch Sunday as the Pistons try to tank against the Miami Heat. Okafor will start in his place, while Cory Joseph will start at the 2 guard, as Josh Jackson moves to the bench.

Lineup update: Heat will start Vincent, Herro, Robinson, Bjelica, and Achiuwa Sunday

The Heat will give Achiuwa the start at center and he’ll be one of the best values, along with Gabe Vincent who gets the start. Herro and Robinson will both start, but are at severe risk for playing heavy minutes, as they will likely not end up playing much due to the Heat not playing for anything. It should be heavy minutes for Vincent and Precious, while Max Strus and KZ Okpala can play more off the bench as well.

Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, Marcus Morris, Rajon Rondo, and Nic Batum all ruled out Sunday; Ivica Zubac will only play the first minute of the game; Terance Mann available

The Clippers will have another rest day as they prepare to play the OKC Thunder. They’ll be without PG, Kawhi, Morris, Rondo, and Batum, while Zubac will start but only play the first few minutes of the game as to keep his number of games streak intact. As a result, it should be plenty of Luke Kennard, Terance Mann (who is returning from an absence due to personal reasons), Jay Scrubb, and Yogi Ferrell, as the Clippers try to prioritize health over seeding.

Lineup update: Clippers will start Beverley, Jackson, Kennard, Patterson, and Zubac Sunday

The Clippers are going to start this lineup, but a few pieces were noteworthy. Zubac will get the start but only play one minute; this was just to keep his games streak intact. With no PG-13, Kawhi, and the rest of the Clippers regulars, it should be heavy minutes for Kennard as a starter, but Jay Scrubb, Yogi Ferrell, and Terance Mann will all likely play heavy minutes off the bench. The frontcourt is certainly thinner, which will lead to more playing time for Scrubb for sure.

Ty Jerome available to play Sunday

Jerome is available to return for the Thunder as they try to lose against the LA Clippers. Jerome will come off the bench, as he missed four games with a calf injury; he’ll chip away at the minutes of Theo Maledon and Svi Mykhailiuk.

James Johnson will play Sunday; Wes Iwundu ruled out

The Pelicans had two players questionable, and will only get one back as they prepare to play the Los Angeles Lakers. Johnson was cleared to play, while Iwundu will miss his second game in a row. The Pelicans are prioritizing their youth, so it may not be too many minutes for Johnson. With no Lonzo, Ingram, Zion, and Adams, it should be plenty of Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Kira Lewis, Naji Marshall, and Wenyen Gabriel, with Jaxson Hayes and Willy Hernangomez splitting the center minutes.
