Lineup Update: Spurs will start Tre Jones, Vassell, Johnson, Gay, Eubanks on Sunday

5/02/21, 8:34 PM ET

Tre Jones, Rudy Gay, and Drew Eubanks will enter the starting lineup for the Spurs on Sunday when they take on the Philadelphia 76ers after DeMar DeRozan, Dejounte Murray, and Jakob Poetl were all ruled out earlier in the day. The biggest surprise here is Tre Jones making his first career start, Coach Popovich has said he wants to try to give the younger players opportunities to prove themselves and this seems to be the case here.

Devonte Graham

Portland Trail Blazers
5/02/21, 8:42 PM ET

Devonte' Graham (knee) available to play Sunday

evonte’ Graham was a late scratch yesterday and was listed as questionable all the way up to game time ahead of Charlotte’s Sunday matchup against the Miami Heat but will be available. Last game we saw the return of both Lamelo Ball and Malik Monk and both saw considerable minutes (Ball 28, Monk 22) however it remains to be seen if they will be limited in the second leg of a back to back. Brad Wanamaker saw some run off the bench with Graham out yesterday and will likely return to a smaller bench role and maybe even lose his spot in the rotation with Graham now available. The top plays for Charlotte remain Terry Rozier, P.J. Washington, Miles Bridges, and Ball.

Cameron Payne

Philadelphia 76ers
5/02/21, 8:20 PM ET

Cameron Payne (knee) ruled out Sunday; Cam Johnson available

Cam Johnson will be available tonight and should see his normal minutes off the bench, Cameron Payne however has been ruled out and will miss Sunday’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. His bench minutes should mostly be absorbed by Jevon Carter and Langston Galloway who could both be viewed as value plays. On this slate however there is no shortage of value plays and there are probably better options than these two.

Lineup Update: Celtics will start Smart, Fournier, Brown, Tatum, Thompson on Sunday

5/02/21, 7:08 PM ET

After being questionable earlier in the day Brown will start Sunday, also Tristan Thompson will draw the start presumably to match up with Jusuf Nurkic. Robert Williams will come off the bench.

Jaylen Brown

Philadelphia 76ers
5/02/21, 7:21 PM ET

Jaylen Brown available to play Sunday

Jaylen Brown will be available to play Sunday against the Portland Trail Blazers after previously being listed as questionable. With Kemba Walker still out Brown and Jayson Tatum should benefit tremendously as they both benefit from a .07 FPM increase with Walker off the floor. Tatum and Brown can be considered top plays for tonight’s slate while the other Boston guards should see increased value with Walker absent.

Ty Jerome

Memphis Grizzlies
5/02/21, 6:55 PM ET

Status Note: Ty Jerome will be back in the rotation Sunday

After not playing last game despite the Thunder being shorthanded Ty Jerome will be back in the rotation Sunday when Oklahoma City takes on the Phoenix Suns. With Lu Dort and Pokusevski also returning Jerome should see his normal bench minutes for the Thunder.

Lineup Update: Thunder will start Maledon, Dort, Pokusevski, Bazley, Brown on Sunday.

5/02/21, 8:04 PM ET

Pokusevski and Dort both make their returns to the starting lineup Sunday when the Thunder take on the Phoenix Suns sending Charlie Brown Jr. and Isaiah Roby back to the bench.

Marvin Bagley

Denver Nuggets
5/02/21, 9:54 PM ET

Status Note: Marvin Bagley will remain on a minutes limit Sunday

Marvin Bagley will remain on a minutes limit Sunday, he played 20 minutes last game so it will likely be somewhere around this number tonight possibly a little higher especially with Chimezie Metu being ruled out earlier in the day.

As reported by: Jason Jones

Aleksej Pokusevski

Charlotte Hornets
5/02/21, 8:14 PM ET

Aleksej Pokusevski (knee) available to play Sunday

Aleksej Pokusevski is available to play Sunday along with Lu Dort who both will likely make their return to the Thunder starting lineup against the Phoenix Suns. With both Dort and Pokusevski returning we expect Roby and Charlie Brown Jr. (a surprise starter last game) to go back to their bench roles and not offer much value. It is hard to trust any Thunder players at this point in the season due to their inconsistent rotations as of late and the risk of blowout which is certainly a possibility Sunday night against the Suns.

Harrison Barnes

San Antonio Spurs
5/02/21, 6:58 PM ET

Harrison Barnes and Chimezie Metu ruled out Sunday

Harrison Barnes and Chimezie Metu have been ruled out for the King’s Sunday contest with the Dallas Mavericks. Maurice Harkless will likely continue to be in the starting lineup for Barnes. Chimezie Metu will also be out Sunday and his spot could be taken by the recently returning Marvin Bagley who will be on a minutes limit. With De’Aaron Fox and Barnes still out most of the offense should continue to be run through Tyrese Haliburton, Buddy Hield, and Richaun Holmes.

Alec Burks

Miami Heat
5/02/21, 8:09 PM ET

Alec Burks (conditioning) not likely to play Sunday

Alec Burks (conditioning) will continue to be out Sunday when the New York Knicks take on the Houston Rockets. Burks’ minutes should continue to be absorbed by Derrick Rose and Immanuel Quickley and the offense should be run through Julius Randle and RJ Barrett.

As reported by: Mike Vorkunov

Goran Dragic

Milwaukee Bucks
5/02/21, 6:29 PM ET

Goran Dragic will play Sunday

Goran Dragic will play Sunday against the Hornets and should help back up the point guard spot behind Kendrick Nunn while Tyler Herro remains out. Gabe Vincent and Max Stus who could have seen extended run if Dragic was ruled out should see their normal run.
