Jimmy Butler and Tyler Herro ruled out Monday; Goran Dragic and Andre Iguodala available
Jimmy Butler will miss his second straight game when the Miami Heat take on the Houston Rockets Monday and Tyler Herro will also officially be out after being listed as out then upgraded to questionable earlier in the day. Last night Andre Iguodala got the start for Butler and played 27 minutes against the Brooklyn Nets and the Heat might elect to keep him in the starting lineup while Butler remains out. With both Oladipo, Butler, and Herro off the floor Goran Dragic and Kendrick Nunn see FPM bumps of at least .04. Nunn, Dragic, and Duncan Robinson are likely to see most of the guard minutes along with Gabe Vincent and Max Strus getting some extended run off the bench.

Myles Turner (toe) has been ruled out Monday for the Pacer’s game against the San Antonio Spurs. We are still waiting the news on Domantas Sabonis, Jeremy Lamb, and Doug McDermott who are all listed as questionable. With Myles Turner officially out Sabonis could potentially move to the center and the Pacers would have Goga Bitadze back him up. McDermott could potentially start at power forward if he is active or we could see Edmond Sumner enter the starting lineup. We will know more about potential minutes and value plays as the Pacers release more information.

Seth Curry (hip) and George Hill are likely to play tonight against the Golden State Warriors and Tobias Harris is unlikely to suit up, we are still waiting to hear about Ben Simmons and Dwight Howard who are considered closer to game time decisions. Mike Scott (who got the start for Harris last game) and Matisse Thybulle are the most likely options to replace Harris in the starting lineup if he is officially ruled out. With Harris off the floor the main benefactor is Joel Embiid who sees a 3% usage bump and a massive .18 FPM bump. Shake Milton also enjoys a sizeable .17 FPM bump when Harris is off. With Harris off the floor Embiid becomes an elite option in any DFS format.

Kemba Walker will miss Monday’s game against the Chicago Bulls. The most likely candidates to replace Walker in the starting lineup are Payton Pritchard or Romeo Langford and Carsen Edwards and Aaron Nesmith could potentially enter the rotation to soak up some of the extra guard minutes vacated by Walker.

After being listed out earlier in the day Tyler Herro has been upgraded to questionable for Monday’s game when the Miami Heat take on the Houston Rockets. With Jimmy Butler and Goran Dragic also listed as questionable and Bam Adebayo already listed out Herro may be needed to fill the minutes vacated if Butler and/or Dragic are officially ruled out. Until we know more about the Miami injury situation tonight it is difficult to determine what the Heat rotation will look like.

Ersan Ilyasova (hamstring) has been downgraded to doubtful Monday. After his best game of the season it is likely that Ilyasova will not play tonight against the Los Angeles Lakers. It was unlikely that he would have played much with Rudy Gobert being listed probable for this game as well as Derrick Favors (questionable) potentially making his return to the rotation to back Gobert up.

Domantas Sabonis, Myles Turner, Jeremy Lamb, Doug McDermott are all listed questionable prior to Monday’s game against the San Antonio Spurs. With so many moving parts let us look at this piece by piece. If Sabonis is out Turner (if active) would continue to play the bulk of the center minutes and see a usage bump while McDermott (if active), Justin Holiday, and Oshae Brissett would pick up the power forward minutes. If Turner were to miss Sabonis would enjoy the usage bump and would probably slide to the center position with Bitadze backing him up. If both Sabonis and Turner are out Bitadze would most likely find his way into the starting lineup and be a top value play. If either Lamb or McDermott were to miss the other would pick up his minutes and be aided by Edmond Sumner and Aaron and Justin Holiday. A lot of value has already opened up on this slate and we could see more while we wait to see what happens with Indiana.

Lu Dort, Josh Hall, Mike Muscala, and Isaiah Roby are all listed out Monday when the Thunder are set to take on the Washington Wizards. It is expected for Svi Mykhailiuk to enter the starting lineup for Dort while the rest of the Thunder bench players will be stretched thin as Roby, Muscala, and Hall are all unavailable. We expect to see Justin Robinson and Jaylen Hoard enter the rotation and pick up some considerable minutes while most of the other Thunder players will likely see extended run as well with only ten active bodies. With Dort, Hall, Muscala, and Roby off the court when looking at CourtIQ we see FPM bumps for Darius Bazley (.18). Ty Jerome (.16), Pokusevski (.14), Theo Maledon (.09), and Kenrich Williams (.07). With this many bodies out for the Thunder there is value to be had strictly based on increased minutes and usage.

Ben Simmons (illness) joins Tobias Harris, Seth Curry, George Hill and Dwight Howard on the injury report as questionable prior to Monday’s game against the Golden State Warriors. The big winner if Simmons were to miss would be Joel Embiid who sees a massive 6.2% usage rate increase and a .31 FPM bump with Simmons off the court. Tobias Harris if available would also see a sizeable boost with a 4.1% usage rate increase and a .11 FPM boost. Other players that see an FPM increase when Simmons is off the court are Shake Milton, Dwight Howard (if available), and Tyrese Maxey. With an injury report this long early in the day a lot remains to be seen but Joel Embiid stands to gain the most if either Simmons or Harris are ruled out and would be a top play.

Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro are listed out Monday and will miss tonight’s contest with the Houston Rockets. Kendrick Nunn, Gabe Vincent (probable), and Max Strus should cover the guard minutes vacated by Tyler Herro and Adebayo’s center minutes should be covered by Dewayne Dedmon and Precious Achiuwa. Dewayne Dedmon offers some value at just $3k on DK and will likely see the bulk of the center minutes and is projected to draw the start. Although we only have a small sample size on CourtIQ Jimmy Butler (questionable) sees a 3.9% usage rate increase and a .27 FPM boost with both Herro and Adebayo off the floor. Other players that see FPM boosts are Dedmon, Nemanja Bjelica, KZ Okpala, Dragic (questionable), and Andre Iguodala (questionable). With this news a lot of Miami Heat value has opened up and there is the potential for more pending the injury news we are still waiting on.

As expected after being listed as probable last night Jayson Tatum will be available for Monday’s game against the Chicago Bulls. Jaylen Brown who was questionable on the injury report last night with an illness will also be available. Kemba Walker remains questionable while Marcus Smart is a new addition to the injury report both with illnesses. If both were to miss Monday’s game we would likely see Payton Pritchard and/or Romeo Langford enter the starting lineup with Carsen Edwards and Aaron Nesmith potentially entering the rotation and backing them up. With Walker and Smart off the court almost every Celtic sees a bump in usage with the big winner being Jayson Tatum who sees a 3.5% usage rate bump and a .12 FPM bump. Other FPM beneficiaries include Tristan Thompson (.16), Semi Ojeleye (.13), and Romeo Langford (.15). If Smart and Walker were to miss Monday’s game the other Celtic guards could offer some value while Tatum becomes a top play.

Nowell was listed as doubtful due to his tibia injury, and ultimately was ruled out as the Wolves prepare to play the LA Clippers. Nowell missed the last game, and with D’Angelo Russell and Ricky Rubio healthy, was unlikely to play big minutes. Josh Okogie and Jarrett Culver should pick up his minutes as a result.

Kawhi Leonard (foot) will play Sunday; Nic Batum (rest) ruled out
After missing the last four games due to a foot injury, Kawhi will make his return as the Clippers prepare to play the Minnesota Timberwolves. Batum will get a rest day according to coach Lue, as he had been averaging 28 minutes without Kawhi, and some games without Paul George and Marcus Morris. With Leonard back in the fold, Luke Kennard will move back to the bench and will have his minutes severely cut as he competes with Terrence Mann for time behind the Clippers star duo. George’s salary has come up across the industry, making it a tough ask as his usage and assist rate both come flying down with Kawhi on the floor. Reggie Jackson and Marcus Morris will have decreased usage as well. Kawhi himself will be a good play in a great matchup against the Timberwolves, and should be able to play his usual role of minutes. With Batum out, Patrick Patterson will likely take his role and play minutes in the teens off the bench, while Morris and Kawhi likely pick up the rest.

Whiteside will make his second start of the year Sunday, replacing Jones in the starting lineup. Whiteside had been playing more minutes despite coming off the bench, so this should give him a higher upside, but likely still in the mid twenties.
