Kevin Porter Jr.

Milwaukee Bucks
3/26/21, 4:18 PM ET

Kevin Porter Jr. (quad) doesn't expect to play Friday

Porter Jr. is still technically listed as questionable on the Rockets’ injury report, but he disclosed to media members following shootaround that he doesn’t expect to play in Friday’s matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves due to a sore right quad that’s already forced him to miss two games. Houston is still without Eric Gordon because of a strained right groin, and following the departure of Victor Oladipo to Miami at yesterday’s trade deadline, Sterling Brown figures to receive another start at the shooting guard position and has managed to record at least 28 minutes of action in each of the previous two games. This will also leave open the opportunity for D.J. Augustin to continue seeing an expanded role off the bench, and he had his minutes increased all the way up to 23 in Wednesday’s loss.

Terrence Ross

Phoenix Suns
3/26/21, 4:08 PM ET

Terrence Ross (knee) officially out Friday

As expected, Ross has officially been downgraded from doubtful and won’t play in Friday’s matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers due to a sore right knee that’s already kept him sidelined for multiple games. Since Wendell Carter Jr., Otto Porter Jr., Gary Harris, and RJ Hampton won’t be available to make their Magic debuts following yesterday’s trade deadline, Orlando will have just eight available players for tonight’s contest, one of them being Mo Bamba, who has played more than 14 minutes on just two occasions over the entire season. This will likely thrust Khem Birch into the large majority of available center minutes, whereas Michael Carter-Williams, Dwayne Bacon, Chasson Randle, James Ennis, and Chuma Okeke should see plenty of additional minutes and usage this evening.

Hassan Whiteside

Utah Jazz
3/26/21, 2:59 AM ET

Hassan Whiteside (knee) ruled out Thursday

Whiteside is a late addition to the Kings’ injury report and won’t play in Thursday’s matchup against the Golden State Warriors due to a knee injury, while Marvin Bagley III continues to be sidelined with a fractured hand. Richaun Holmes has been playing extremely well of late and has been commanding a large portion of the center minutes sans Bagley, but with Whiteside unavailable, Cimezie Metu figures to step into the available backup minutes in the second unit for tonight’s contest. Additionally, Sacramento has several trades pending finalization, so some combination of Justin James, DaQuan Jeffries, and Kyle Guy figure to have extended roles of the bench to help pick up the slack of the departed Cory Joseph and Nemanja Bjelica this evening.

Seth Curry

Golden State Warriors
3/26/21, 3:14 AM ET

Seth Curry (ankle) and Danny Green (hip) available to play Thursday

Curry and Green have officially been upgraded from questionable and will be available to play in Thursday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers despite dealing with their respective ailments, while Joel Embiid remains sidelined with a bone bruise in his left knee. The return of Curry from a multi-game absence will send Furkan Korkmaz back to the bench following a couple of serviceable fantasy performances while logging at least 26 minutes as a starter in both contests. There haven’t been any reports of a potential minute restriction for Curry or Green, and assuming they’re fine to handle their usual allotment of minutes in tonight’s contest, it’ll relegate Korkmaz and Matisse Thybulle back to their regular reserve roles off the bench. Additionally, Tony Bradley was included in the Sixers’ only trade of the day, so Mike Scott will likely receive the starting nod at the five-spot whereas Dwight Howard should have an elevated minute floor as the primary center option off the bench this evening.

Marcus Morris

New York Knicks
3/26/21, 2:51 AM ET

Marcus Morris (calf) listed out Thursday

Morris has officially been downgraded from questionable on the Clippers’ injury report and is now listed out of Thursday’s matchup against the San Antonio Spurs due to a right calf contusion, while Kawhi Leonard is also unavailable because of a sore right foot after logging 32 minutes in Wednesday’s blowout win on the front end of a back-to-back set. In Leonard’s absence, head coach Tyronn Lue already confirmed that Terrance Mann will receive the starting nod alongside Paul George on the wing, which should also secure the minute floor of Reggie Jackson, who could have free reign at the point guard position with Patrick Beverley sidelined and Lou Williams traded to Atlanta earlier this afternoon. Additionally, with Morris is unavailable, Patrick Patterson will receive the start nod at the power forward spot, but Nicolas Batum, Luke Kennard, and Amir Coffey still figure to be in line for extended minutes off the bench this evening.

Kawhi Leonard

LA Clippers
3/25/21, 7:58 PM ET

Kawhi Leonard (foot) ruled out Thursday; Marcus Morris (calf) questionable

Leonard has been included on the Clippers’ initial injury report and won’t play in Thursday’s matchup against the San Antonio Spurs due to a sore right foot after logging 32 minutes in Wednesday’s blowout win on the front end of a back-to-back set, while Morris is listed as questionable with a right calf contusion. If Morris is unavailable, Nicolas Batum would likely start at the power forward spot whereas Luke Kennard and Amir Coffey would be in line for extended minutes off the bench.

Nerlens Noel

Sacramento Kings
3/25/21, 6:54 PM ET

Nerlens Noel (shoulder) ruled out Thursday

Despite being listed as probable on the Knicks’ injury report, Noel has officially been ruled out and won’t play in Thursday’s matchup against the Washington Wizards due to a sore right shoulder, while Reggie Bullock was also previously ruled out with sprained right ankle that forced him to exit the Knicks’ previous game early. In Bullock’s absence, Alec Burks will more than likely step into the starting lineup alongside RJ Barrett on the wing whereas Kevin Knox is a candidate to join the rotation as a depth piece but is still highly unlikely to receive meaningful minutes with the second unit. If Burks does start and Derrick Rose is still a DNP for conditioning reasons, then Immanuel Quickley is poised to lead the bench group in usage as the primary scorer and facilitator this evening.

Lonnie Walker IV

Denver Nuggets
3/25/21, 2:42 PM ET

Lonnie Walker IV (wrist) ruled out Thursday; Rudy Gay (foot) available to play

Walker IV has officially been downgraded from questionable and won’t play in Thursday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers due to right wrist soreness, while Gay has been cleared to play after missing one game because of a foot injury. This will leave the Spurs without a pivotal bench piece, so it should solidify the minute floors of a player like Derrick White in the first unit whereas Patty Mills and Devin Vassell could step into larger roles off the bench. Unless head coach Gregg Popovich runs with a nine-man rotation, which seems unlikely, there will be room for one of Trey Lyles or Luka Samanic to step into some of the available power forward minutes in the second unit, though it isn’t really plausible they’ll see enough playing time to become relevant in daily fantasy formats across the industry this evening.

Reggie Bullock

Houston Rockets
3/25/21, 5:43 PM ET

Reggie Bullock (ankle) ruled out Thursday; Elfrid Payton (hamstring) and Nerlens Noel (shoulder) probable

Bullock has officially been downgraded from questionable and won’t play in Thursday’s matchup against the Washington Wizards due to a sprained right ankle that forced him to exit the Knicks’ previous game early, while Payton and Noel are listed as probable on the injury report with their respective ailments.

Danilo Gallinari

Milwaukee Bucks
3/24/21, 11:23 PM ET

Danilo Gallinari (knee) available to play Wednesday; Rajon Rondo (adductor) ruled out

Gallinari has officially been upgraded from questionable and will be available to play in Wednesday’s matchup against the Sacramento Kings despite dealing with a left knee contusion, while Rajon Rondo is a late addition to the Hawks’ injury report and has been ruled out because of an adductor injury. In Rondo’s absence, Trae Young could have a bit higher minute floor than normal in a closely-contested game, but it will primarily allow Brandon Goodwin to assume the backup point guard duties in the second unit. As for Gallinari, there haven’t been any reports of a potential minute restriction, so he should be fine to handle his usual minute allotment off the bench this evening.

Josh Okogie

Utah Jazz
3/24/21, 11:49 PM ET

Josh Okogie (protocols) scratched Wednesday

Despite originally being confirmed in the Timberwolves’ starting lineup, Okogie has now been ruled out and won’t play in Wednesday’s matchup against the Dallas Mavericks as he’s been placed in the NBA’s health and safety protocols and may be required to self-isolate for a presently unknown period of time pending additional testing and contact tracing. The Timberwolves will have the services of Jordan McLaughlin following his lengthy absence stemming from a positive COVID-19 diagnosis, but it remains unclear if he’ll have any sort of role in the rotation right out of the gate. If McLaughlin does see some playing time behind Ricky Rubio at point guard, it would allow Jaylen Nowell to see more time at the wing positions, which would ultimately negate the impact of Okogie’s unavailability this evening.

James Harden

Cleveland Cavaliers
3/24/21, 10:37 PM ET

James Harden (neck) ruled out Wednesday

Harden has officially been downgraded from questionable and won’t play in Wednesday’s matchup against the Utah Jazz due to neck soreness he played through in Tuesday’s front end of a back-to-back set, while Blake Griffin will be held out of the lineup for left knee injury management despite logging just over 19 minutes in yesterday’s win. The Nets are still without Kyrie Irving, Landry Shamet, and Kevin Durant, so head coach Steve Nash already confirmed with reporters during his pregame media availability last night that Tyler Johnson would receive the starting nod alongside Bruce Brown in the backcourt. Additionally, that ripple effect throughout the rotation would likely force Chris Chiozza into the backup point guard minutes and could even have the upside to play alongside Johnson for stretches of the game if his play warrants additional minutes this evening.

Collin Sexton

Los Angeles Lakers
3/24/21, 5:58 PM ET

Collin Sexton (hamstring) listed out Wednesday

Sexton is a new addition to the Cavaliers’ injury report and is listed out for Wednesday’s matchup against the Chicago Bulls due to right hamstring soreness, while Kevin Love, Taurean Prince, and Matthew Dellavedova all remain sidelined with their respective ailments. The absence of Sexton should allow recently-signed Quinn Cook to step into a larger role as the sole backup point guard behind Darius Garland whereas there should also be more playmaking opportunities for the likes of Larry Nance Jr. and Cedi Osman, who becomes a candidate to join the starting lineup alongside Isaac Okoro on the wing in tonight’s contest. The sample size isn’t particularly vast with Sexton and all of the other injured Cavaliers off the court, but in that time, Jarrett Allen surprisingly sees his usage rate climb to 22.6% while averaging 1.39 DraftKings and 1.40 FanDuel points per minute this season.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

Oklahoma City Thunder
3/24/21, 2:31 PM ET

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (foot) listed out Wednesday

Gilgeous-Alexander has been added to the Thunder’s injury report and won’t play in Wednesday’s matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies due to right foot plantar fasciitis, while Lu Dort and Al Horford were excluded from the injury report and appear on track to return to game action in tonight’s contest. In Gilgeous-Alexander’s absence, Theo Maledon will almost certainly receive the starting nod at the point guard position once again, and he’s managed to log at least 32 minutes in three of the previous four games. Additionally, Ty Jerome should pick up any additional slack off the bench and see playing time at both guard positions, making it likely he continues to have a solidified role in the upper-20s in terms of minutes as long as Oklahoma City continues to be depleted at several positions on a night-in-night-out basis.

James Harden

Cleveland Cavaliers
3/24/21, 6:07 PM ET

James Harden (neck) questionable Wednesday; Blake Griffin (injury management) ruled out

Harden has been listed as questionable on the Nets’ initial injury report for Wednesday’s matchup against the Utah Jazz due to neck soreness he played through in Tuesday’s front end of a back-to-back set, while Griffin will be held out of the lineup for left knee injury management despite logging just over 19 minutes in yesterday’s win. The Nets are still without Kyrie Irving, Landry Shamet, and Kevin Durant, so head coach Steve Nash already confirmed with reporters during his pregame media availability last night that Tyler Johnson would receive the starting nod alongside Bruce Brown in the backcourt.
