Kyle Lowry (back) listed inactive Monday; Terence Davis will start
There hasn’t been any official announcement on his status, but Lowry has been listed inactive on the Raptors’ media guide for Monday’s matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks due to a sore lower back, while Fred VanVleet and Serge Ibaka were previously ruled out with their respective ailments. In VanVleet’s absence, Norman Powell will almost certainly receive the starting nod at the shooting guard position and becomes of the top Raptors to target in daily fantasy formats, whereas Terence Davis will likely start at point guard with Lowry unable to suit up in tonight’s contest. Additionally, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Chris Boucher should be expected to compete for the reserve center minutes behind Marc Gasol, though their minute floors have been shaky, at best, in this scenario before, reserving them to tournament formats only this evening.

VanVleet and Ibaka have officially been downgraded from questionable and won’t play in Monday’s matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks due to their respective ailments, while Kyle Lowry remains questionable and will be a game-time decision because of a sore back. In VanVleet’s absence, Norman Powell will almost certainly receive the starting nod at the shooting guard position and becomes of the top Raptors to target in daily fantasy formats regardless of Lowry’s final availability. Terence Davis would likely start at point guard if Lowry is ultimately unable to suit up, while Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Chris Boucher should be expected to compete for the reserve center minutes behind Marc Gasol this evening.

Morgan was never listed on the Jazz injury report, but he’s officially been ruled out and won’t play in Monday’s matchup against the Dallas Mavericks due to a knee injury, while Donovan Mitchell was previously deemed unavailable because of a strained lower leg peroneal. Mitchell has already missed one game since the Orlando restart with the aforementioned ailment, and Miye Oni ended up receiving the start at the shooting guard position in that contest. However, Mike Conley, Rudy Gobert, and Royce O’Neale also were held out of that game as well, so it remains to be seen if Oni is given the privilege of joining the starting lineup once again. Either way, Jordan Clarkson becomes the clear beneficiary of Mitchell’s absence and will be a viable option for all daily fantasy formats on today’s slate.

A report surfaced seconds before the Suns’ scheduled tip for Monday’s matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder that Ayton missed his coronavirus test Sunday and was retested this morning, but he wouldn’t be able to rejoin the team until his test results came back negative. However, Shams Charania of The Athletic is now reporting that Ayton has cleared the NBA testing protocol and is currently en route to the arena. Dario Saric ended up receiving the starting nod at the center position with Ayton still in self-isolation, and it remains to be seen if head coach Monty Williams even allows Ayton to take the court as a disciplinary measure upon his arrival.

Despite originally being listed as probable on the Bucks’ injury report, Antetokounmpo is now listed out for Monday’s matchup against the Toronto Raptors after undergoing oral surgery to address a nagging toothache. In the past when Antetokounmpo has been sidelined, Ersan Ilyasova has typically started at the power forward position, but there haven’t been many instances where Antetokounmpo has been unavailable since Marvin Williams was acquired at the trade deadline, which really limits Ilyasova’s floor and ceiling for daily fantasy formats on today’s slates.

The Thunder has released their initial injury report for Monday’s second leg of a back-to-back set against the Phoenix Suns, and Gilgeous-Alexander, Gallinari, Adams, and Noel have all been included with their various, respective ailments and won’t suit up in today’s contest. This leaves Oklahoma City with just two usual starters in Chris Paul and Luguentz Dort, which should allow Mike Muscala, Darius Bazley, and Hamidou Diallo to join them in the starting lineup based on head coach Billy Donovan’s rotations thus far in the Orlando bubble. There’s obviously some concern about how much Paul will actually play this afternoon, but if he manages to see anywhere close to his normal allotment of minutes, he should be a fine value for daily fantasy formats since he has a 30.6% usage rate (+6.5%) and is averaging a whopping 1.42 DraftKings and 1.32 FanDuel points per minute in a limited 71.0 minutes sample size with Gilgeous-Alexander and Dennis Schroder off the court this season.

Bazemore has officially been downgraded from questionable and won’t play in Sunday’s matchup against the Houston Rockers due to a sore right calf, while Richaun Holmes was previously listed out on the Kings’ injury report with a sore hip. In his absence, Alex Len appears to be the leading candidate to receive the starting nod at the center position if head coach Luke Walton opts to go with a traditional starting five, and he’s been fantastic in a limited run during the Kings’ last two games. With Bazemore sidelined, either DaQuan Jeffries or Corey Brewer will likely join the Kings’ wing rotation, though neither will likely see significant playing time, and Cory Joseph would be the better tournament option of the three given the likelihood of spending more time alongside De’Aaron Fox in the backcourt.

Now that all three starters are on track to play, the ancillary Nets rotation players become much less appealing options in daily fantasy formats, though Rodions Kurucs may still find himself in consideration for tournament formats since head coach Jacque Vaugh opted to start him and Garrett Temple over Lance Thomas and Tyler Johnson, respectively, in the previous game.

The Clippers announced that George will sit out the second leg of their current back-to-back set and won’t play in Sunday’s matchup against the Brooklyn Nets for rest purposes. Los Angeles is also without Montrezl Harrell and Patrick Beverley, which should enable Reggie Jackson and Landry Shamet to receive the starting nods at point guard and shooting guard, respectively, once again though Shamet is an extremely low usage player and will be tough to target outside of tournaments in daily fantasy formats even with two starters unable to suit up for tonight’s contest. Kawhi Leonard, Marcus Morris, and Lou Williams figure to soak up the additional usage left behind by the aforementioned George, Harrell, and Beverley this evening.

Adams is now a late scratch and won’t play in Sunday’s matchup against the Washington Wizards after head coach Billy Donovan told reporters that Adams would be available to play in today’s contest following a one-game absence due to a leg injury. As for Noel, he was never included on the Thunder injury report, and with he and Adams now unable to suit up, Mike Muscala should step into the starting lineup even though he has just recently passed the NBA’s concussion protocol and may not be able to handle a full starters’ minute load. With Muscala and Adams unavailable for Friday’s loss, Kevin Hervey saw some time at the center spot when Noel was off the floor, and Donovan wasn’t shy about utilizing smaller lineups either, as Darius Bazley and Abdel Nader both played up a position for extended stretches of the game.

The Magic are going to be very thin today without Johnathan Isaac, Aaron Gordon, Michael Carter-Williams and Evan Fournier. Augustin will have a chance to take advantage of scoring opportunities with his teammates inactive. Augustin has played at least 28 minutes over the last two bubble games, and should see at least the same run today against Boston if the game is competitive. Across 12 games with at least 28 minutes this season, Augustin is averaging a shade over 29 DraftKings points per game. Over a decent sample without those four Magic on the court, he gets a massive usage boost of 10%. It’s a tough matchup, but D.J. will have opportunities.
Shabazz Napier (ankle) out Sunday
Despite being listed as probable on the Wizards’ initial injury report, Napier has officially been ruled out and won’t play in Sunday’s matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder due to a sprained right ankle. Since Napier had been coming off the bench over the last several games, Washington will be able to utilize their usual starting lineup, but his absence does open up additional ballhandling and playmaking opportunities for the likes of Ish Smith and Troy Brown Jr., which makes both of them fantastic options for daily fantasy formats this afternoon.

Despite originally being listed out on the Thunder’s injury report, head coach Billy Donovan clarified that Adams is indeed active and will be available to play in Sunday’s matchup against the Washington Wizards after missing one game due to lower right leg contusion. His return to the lineup will likely send Nerlens Noel back to the bench to resume a reserve role, and even if Adams is limited in some way, Noel becomes a less intriguing daily fantasy option in tournament formats since Mike Muscala is also available off the bench following his passing of the NBA’s concussion protocol yesterday afternoon.
