DeAndre Bembry (illness) available to play Thursday
Bembry will be available to play in Thursday’s matchup against the Phoenix Suns despite dealing with an illness, while Alex Len and Cam Reddish are also good to go following their removal from the updated injury report. The Hawks are going to be without Kevin Huerter for an extended period of time, so his absence does open up a substantial amount of playing time in the backcourt and at the wing positions. Reddish will receive the starting nod alongside Trae Young, but Bembry should see similar run with the first unit as the sixth man and will also be the primary ball-handler in the second unit.
As reported by: Brad Rowland via TwitterMitchell Robinson (concussion) will play off the bench Thursday
Robinson has officially been upgraded from questionable and will play in Thursday’s matchup against the Dallas Mavericks after missing three games due to a concussion. Head coach David Fizdale didn’t disclose his starting lineup during his pregame media availability, but he did confirm that Robinson will come off the bench in his return, which means that Taj Gibson could start at the center position once again following a couple of stellar point-per-dollar fantasy performances over his previous four games. Still, his minute floor and ceiling are now much lower with Robinson back in the frontcourt rotation, so he can easily be avoided on tonight’s five-game main slate.
As reported by: Steve Popper via TwitterPaul George (shoulders) will play with a minute restriction Thursday
As expected, George will make his season debut in Thursday’s matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans following surgery on both of his shoulders in the offseason, while Kawhi Leonard and Patrick Beverley will both sit on the second leg of a back-to-back set. George will more than likely replace Leonard in the starting lineup, but he will be subject to an undisclosed minute restriction, and head coach Doc Rivers stated it’d be more visually based on how George looks out there conditioning-wise. Regardless of the starter at point guard, Lou Williams will be in consideration for all daily fantasy formats on tonight’s five-game slate since he has a 29.1% usage rate and is averaging 1.10 DraftKings and 1.04 FanDuel points per minute on the season.
As reported by: Jovan Buha via TwitterBrandon Ingram (knee) and Jahlil Okafor (ankle) out Thursday
Ingram has officially been downgraded from questionable and won’t play in Thursday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers due to a sore right knee that’s now forced him to miss two games, while Okafor will sit with a sprained right ankle. With Ingram sidelined for Monday’s loss, Josh Hart ended up receiving the starting nod and logged 30 minutes, but with Hart and Lonzo Ball both unavailable, there’s a number of different ways head coach Alvin Gentry could go with his starting lineup. However, E’Twaun Moore, Frank Jackson, and Nickeil Alexander-Walker all appear to be in line for increased playing time, while Jaxson Hayes could have all of the reserve center minutes to himself with Okafor sidelined.
As reported by: Pelicans PR via Twitter Other tagged players: Jahlil OkaforDeAndre' Bembry (illness) probable Thursday
Bembry popped up on the Hawks’ injury report and is probable for Thursday’s matchup against the Phoenix Suns due to an illness, while Alex Len and Cam Reddish will be available to play following their removal from the updated injury report. On a five-game slate currently lacking cheap value, both Reddish and Bembry will more than likely be in consideration for most fantasy formats this evening.
As reported by: Brad Rowland via TwitterKyrie Irving (shoulder) upgraded to probable Thursday
Irving has been upgraded from questionable to probable for Thursday’s matchup against the Denver Nuggets due to right shoulder impingement. With Caris LeVert expected to miss four-to-six weeks after undergoing thumb surgery, Garrett Temple will more than likely draw a second straight start at shooting guard following his mediocre fantasy performance in 30 minutes of action in Tuesday’s loss. As for Irving, he’s seen a slight uptick in production with LeVert off the court this season, as he owns a 35.0% usage rate and 38.0% assist rate while averaging 1.55 DraftKings and 1.48 FanDuel points per minute.
As reported by: Anthony Puccio via TwitterMinutes Equals Floor
Kevin Huerter has already been announced out for tonight’s game, so that opens up a bunch of minutes in the Hawks back court rotation. On a slate fairly void of solid value, these three cheap wings grade out as good salary saving options in cash games so you can pay up for Giannis, Luka, etc. Reddish & Hunter should draw the start and play 27-34 minutes, but will be on the floor mostly alongside usage hogs Trae Young & Jabari Parker. That’s why out of the three, Bembry at $3900 on DK remains the best option coming off the bench as the primary ball handler leading the second unit.
Other tagged players: De'Andre Hunter, Cam ReddishKawhi Leonard (rest) and Patrick Beverley (knee) out Thursday; Paul George (shoulders) listed probable
As expected, Leonard won’t play in Thursday’s second leg of a back-to-back set against the New Orleans Pelicans due to left knee injury management, while Beverley will sit with a sore left calf. The Clippers have listed Paul George as probable, but he is fully expected to make his season debut following surgery on both of his shoulders in the offseason. There’s been no report of a specific minute restriction for George, so he’ll more than likely replace Leonard in the starting lineup, but there has yet to be any report of who will start at point guard in Beverley’s absence. Regardless of starter, Lou Williams will be in consideration for all daily fantasy formats on tonight’s five-game slate since he has a 29.1% usage rate and is averaging 1.10 DraftKings and 1.04 FanDuel points per minute on the season.
As reported by: Jovan Buha via Twitter Other tagged players: Patrick Beverley, Paul GeorgeInjury Creates Increased Opportunity for Multiple Players
Bucks swingman Khris Middleton is out tonight with a thigh injury, and a look at the CourtIQ scenario with Middleton off the court this season indicates a number of players could benefit for Milwaukee. Most notably, Giannis Antetokounmpo averages over 2 fantasy points per minute without Middleton, making the Bucks superstar a staple of both cash and GPP lineups tonight. Sterling Brown will likely draw the start for Middleton, and he has averaged a respectable 0.8 fantasy points per minute without Middleton. Another player who could benefit is reserve George Hill, who leads Milwaukee with 116.5 minutes when Middleton is off the court this season.
Other tagged players: George Hill, Sterling BrownShabazz Napier (hamstring) and Jordan Bell (shoulder) out Wednesday
As expected, both Napier and Bell won’t be available to play in Wednesday’s matchup against the San Antonio Spurs due to their respective ailments. There’s yet to be any report to suggest that Jeff Teague will be subject to a minute restriction in his return to the lineup, so it’s difficult to digest how the news of Jarrett Culver starting at point guard affects Teague this evening. Culver and Josh Okogie saw elevated playing time while Teague was sidelined, but they each were extremely sporadic from a fantasy perspective. The other player that should see a downtick in production with Teague available is Andrew Wiggins, as he’ll now be relied upon much less often to initiate the Timberwolves’ offense and is severely overpriced for that role change around the industry.
As reported by: Jon Krawczynski via Twitter Other tagged players: Jordan BellJeff Teague (illness) available to play Wednesday
Head coach Ryan Saunders confirmed with reporters that Teague will be available to play in Wednesday’s matchup against the San Antonio Spurs after missing four games due to an illness. There’s yet to be any report to suggest that Teague will be subject to a minute restriction, so he’ll presumably replace Josh Okogie in the starting lineup for tonight’s contest. Okogie, along with Jarrett Culver, has seen elevated playing time during this span, but they each were extremely sporadic from a fantasy perspective. The other player that should see a downtick in production with Teague returning is Andrew Wiggins, as he’ll now be relied upon much less often to initiate the Timberwolves’ offense and is severely overpriced for that role change around the industry this evening.
As reported by: Dane Moore via TwitterPaul George (shoulders) officially out Wednesday; Kawhi Leonard will play
It looks very much like the Clippers are going to stagger rest days for their two stars, with George sitting tonight and Kawhi getting a night off tomorrow. George has yet to suit up this season, so his absence keeps the early-season rotation intact. There is still a shot the Clippers are cautious and give George some extra time to heal, but it’s looking likely that he takes the floor tomorrow.
As reported by: Andrew Greif via Twitter Other tagged players: Kawhi LeonardGrayson Allen (ankle) out Wednesday
Grayson Allen won’t play Wednesday due to his ankle injury, which will mark his sixth straight absence. There isn’t any real DFS impact here given that Allen’s injury isn’t new, but the Grizzlies are in a fairly good spot against a Hornets team they should stay competitive with. Memphis has been reluctant to push the minutes of Ja Morant and Jonas Valanciunas, but both of the Grizzlies leading offensive pieces are viable GPP targets tonight, as is Jaren Jackson. Jackson’s minutes have fluctuated considerably this year – in large part due to foul trouble – but he was able to log a season-high 37 minutes on Monday.
As reported by: Grizzlies PR via TwitterOmari Spellman (ankle) listed available Wednesday
Spellman has been upgraded from questionable and will be available to play in Wednesday’s matchup against Los Angeles Lakers due to a sprained left ankle. With Draymond Green returning from an extended injury absence in Monday’s loss, Spellman was limited to only 12 minutes off the bench, and he figures to remain in a diminished role so long as Green and Eric Paschall are healthy.
As reported by: NBA Official Injury ReportDanuel House (back) listed out Wednesday
As expected, House has been listed out on the Rockets’ injury report and won’t play in Wednesday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers due to a sacral contusion. In his absence, Ben McLemore will receive the starting nod at small forward, and he managed to log 19 minutes in Monday’s win. With Eric Gordon likely sidelined for six weeks, Houston is extremely thin at the wing positions, which should allow McLemore the opportunity to play all the minutes he can handle in tonight’s contest.
