JaMychal Green (sore shoulder) ruled out tonight
Green will not play in tonight’s game against the Indiana Pacers after previously being downgraded to questionable on the Grizzlies’ injury report with a sore left shoulder. With Marc Gasol also unavailable, James Ennis and Brandan Wright will draw the start at power forward and center respectively, while Zach Randolph will be relied on to carry a majority of the offensive load in the frontcourt despite coming off the bench. Surprisingly, Mike Conley hasn’t historically seen a bump in usage rate or fantasy production with Gasol off the court this season, but Zach Randolph (32.8%), Andrew Harrison (21.2%), and Troy Daniels (26.48) all own at least +3.1% usage rate differential in the aforementioned scenario. Based solely on expected playing time, Randolph and Daniels are the preferred options of the trio, while Conley is still worth a look in tournaments.

Ron Baker confirmed as the starter in place of Derrick Rose
Rose will not play in tonight’s game against the Miami Heat due to a sore left knee despite never officially being listed on the Knicks’ injury report at any point throughout the day. In Rose’s absence, Ron Baker will receive the starting nod at point guard. There’s enough value available on this slate that Baker is not a particularly viable option, but Carmelo Anthony now becomes an intriguing tournament play at likely reduced ownership following speculation he would be rested in tonight’s contest. With that not being the case, Carmelo and Kristaps Porzingis remain the preferred tournament targets from New York, while Guillermo Hernangomez is always worth a look as well given his immense upside. With Rose and Thomas off the floor this season, Anthony leads the Knicks with a 37.9% usage rate, a massive 6.7% bump from his season total.

Salah Mejri (knee) ruled out for tonight
Mejri will not play in tonight’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans due to a sore right knee despite never appearing on the Mavericks’ injury report at any point throughout the day. Mejri’s playing time has been all over the map recently. but there could be a few extra minutes available for Dwight Powell off the bench, though he will still remain irrelevant in daily fantasy formats. Powell was a DNP-CD in the Mavericks previous game, which provides clarity on how sporadic the Dallas frontcourt rotation can be on a nightly basis. This is a situation to avoid with all of the value available on tonight’s 10-game slate.

Carroll will play and start in tonight’s game against the Charlotte Hornets after previously being listed as questionable on the Raptors’ injury report with a sore lower back that had forced him to miss two consecutive games. The news came out earlier in the afternoon that Carroll was expected to play, so this confirmation isn’t all that surprising. However, his return to the starting lineup will send P.J. Tucker back to the bench to resume his reserve role and remove him from daily fantasy consideration entirely given his inflated price tag. With Carroll officially available, the minutes on the wing become too diluted between him, Tucker, and Norman Powell, making Demar DeRozan and Serge Ibaka the only realistic players to target from Toronto on a nightly basis.

Cousins will return to the Pelicans lineup tonight against the Mavericks, which actually makes the Pelicans a tough sell from a DFS perspective. Anthony Davis had been rolling – even in some tough match-ups – with Cousins off the floor recently, but having both ball-dominant big men on the floor eats into the value for each player. Jrue Holiday also becomes less intriguing with those two commanding a ton of usage, and with Cousins looking set to take on his normal allotment of minutes, none of the other wings/front-court players are viable targets. Davis’ usage drops 5.6% with Cousins on the floor, while Holiday’s drops 3.5%. Predictably, both players also fare worse from a FPPM standpoint, so it’s not worth paying a premium for any of the Pelicans big three.

DeMarcus Cousins (ankle) and Solomon Hill (foot) expected to play tonight
Cousins and Hill are on track to play in tonight’s game against the Dallas Mavericks after previously being listed as questionable on the Pelicans’ injury report with their respective ailments Cousins had missed the past two games with a sprained right ankle, and his likely return to the starting lineup will send Dante Cunningham back to the bench to resume his reserve role. The presence of Cousins in the starting lineup is a significant knock to the projected fantasy value of Anthony Davis, who has seen his price tag rise in recent days following some monster performances sans Cousins. Given his inflated price point, Davis is now nothing more than a secondary tournament option. Additionally, the expected availability of Hill makes Jordan Crawford a much less appealing tournament target, though he is still certainly a viable punt play at the shooting guard position.

Belinelli is officially available to play in tonight’s game against the Toronto Raptors after previously being listed as probable with a face laceration he sustained in Tuesday’s loss to the Milwaukee Bucks. He is expected to be a full-go and resume his normal reserve role behind Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Nicolas Batum on the wing. He’s still not a viable DFS play, and the Hornets in general aren’t a very exciting team to target on this slate.

Ingram appeared in the Lakers’ game notes listed as questionable for tomorrow’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, but he is reportedly unlikely to play due to right patellar tendinitis. He has already missed two consecutive games with the aforementioned injury and Corey Brewer would likely draw the start at small forward once again should Ingram be ruled out. Brewer and the other reserve wings aren’t particularly viable options given their diluted minute allotments, but both D’Angelo Russell and Jordan Clarkson have seen significant usage and production bumps with Ingram missing from the starting unit, which should put them firmly in play for contests on Thursday’s slate.

Jerebko is available to take the court this evening, but he’s been in and out of the Celtics rotation over the course of March and isn’t likely to see more than 12-14 minutes even if he does play. His presence doesn’t really have an impact on the Celtics DFS outlook on Wednesday.

Kosta Koufos and Garrett Temple will not play tonight against the Jazz tonight. Koufos and Temple both started against the Grizzlies on Monday so we’ll have an entirely new starting lineup again tonight. The Kings did not mention Tyreke Evans on the injury report so we should suspect that he is available to play. Evans will likely replace Temple in the starting lineup and Skal Labissiere will replace Koufos. Both players are volatile plays against the Jazz and carry more risk than reward on a full slate. Ty Lawson is dealing with quad tendinitis and his absence would open the door for Collison to once again play over 30 minutes. Collison is also a risky proposition against the Jazz but comes with a seemingly safe floor due to the minutes and punt level salary. Arron Afflalo continues to be away from the team and no update has been provided on his situation.

Bazemore is officially available to play in tonight’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers after previously being listed as probable on the Sixers’ injury report with a right knee bone bruise that had forced him to miss five consecutive games. With Thabo Sefolosha still sidelined, this means that Taurean Prince will remain in the Hawks starting lineup at small forward alongside Tim Hardaway Jr. There hasn’t been any official confirmation from Atlanta on a minute restriction for Bazemore but he will likely at least be somewhat limited in his return. It’s realistic to expect Bazemore to play somewhere in the 20-minute range in tonight’s contest, meaning there are still extra minutes available for the likes of Prince, Hardaway Jr., and Ersan Ilyasova with Paul Millsap still unavailable due to injury.

Jeff Green will miss another game tonight due a sore lower back. Green has not been an integral part of the rotation this season and was primarily used when others were injured. Mario Hezonja has assumed the backup PF minutes and has been logging consistent minutes for the last couple weeks. Still, Hezonja is not a viable DFS option for this slate due to the volatile nature of his game. Even when he does see the minutes, he’s not scoring enough fantasy points to help you ship a tournament.

Anderson has been confirmed as the Sixers starter at small forward for tonight’s game against the Atlanta Hawks, replacing Robert Covington, who was recently ruled out with a sore right knee. With Gerald Henderson probable, that leaves Anderson, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, and Nik Stauskas as the only other wing players available to soak up the vacated playing time. Stauskas will also be relied upon to absorb some backup point guard minutes with Sergio Rodriguez still sidelined with an injury. The news of Henderson being expected to play is the most interesting takeaway here, as he will back up Anderson and Luwawu-Cabarrot on the wing and see substantial playing time.
