Quincy Acy (left ankle soreness) ruled out for Thursday; Joe Harris continues to be out
Quincy Acy is dealing with a sore ankle and has been ruled out for tomorrow’s game against the Pistons. Acy only played 14 minutes last night and has not be a reliable DFS option with the Nets relatively healthy in the frontcourt. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson continues to play well but also continues to have his minutes restricted. Trevor Booker has also seen a slight spike in minutes and will be used as Hollis-Jefferson’s backup. Joe Harris has been out since March 4th and Sean Kilpatrick returned last night to play off the bench. Kilpatrick saw less than 15 minutes but is working his way back into the rotation after missing seven games.

Alec Burks (personal) expected to play tonight
Burks was away from the team for one game due to the birth of his child. Burks has rarely played more than 20 minutes this season but could get the burn tonight since George Hill is out of the lineup. Burks will simply be a GPP option since his minutes are not secure and he can easily bust. He’s the minimum across the industry and will likely not be popular tonight. It might be a bit risky to play Burks on a full slate but he could work on the later slates.

Kevin Durant has been making progress in his rehab and has had no setbacks. The team is hopeful that Durant will return before they start the playoffs. The plan is to intensify his level of movement over the next several days. This will include explosive cutting and lateral movement. After 7-10 he’ll be re-evaluated and the team will provide another update. Andre Iguodala has been the primary DFS beneficiary with Durant out. Steph Curry and Klay Thompson have also picked up the slack on the offensive end.

Two of the Jazz guards have been ruled out for tonight including starter George Hill which means Shelvin Mack and Dante Exum will split the point guard position. Mack is coming off an injury of his own and might be limited in terms of how long he can play. They face a Kings team that is bottom 10 in PG DvP so if we get an idea of a clearly defined role for either player, they could be in play. Gordon Hayward is listed as questionable but it wouldn’t be shocking to see him take the court with Hill out of action, especially after going through the team shootaround. He’d be a viable DFS option if he does indeed suit up. We’ll keep you updated on this situation as the day unfolds.

Kent Bazemore probable to play for Atlanta tonight; Thabo Sefolosha and Paul Millsap remain out
Bazemore has missed the last five games but is in line to play tonight against the 76ers. It’s a much needed boost for Atlanta as Thabo Sefolosha and Paul Millsap both remain out (and Mike Dunleavy is out as well). He’s a risky option given we won’t know his role in the rotation but his return is a definite hit to the value of Tim Hardaway Jr.

With Marc Gasol already out, Green’s downgrade in status to questionable could have some DFS implications. He is battling a sore shoulder and will his playing status will be determined later today. If he can’t go, Brandan Wright will become a top value option with James Ennis also receiving a boost in value.

Hill has a sore right foot that has led New Orleans to downgrade his status to questionable for their game tonight against the Mavericks. We’ll keep an eye on his status but if he can’t go, Dante Cunningham and Donatas Motiejunas would stand to pick up the missing minutes with Motiejunas a viable value option if that is the case.

Dunleavy had returned to action playing the last four games for the Hawks and averaging 16 minutes a game but he’ll miss tonight’s game due to lingering issues with his ankle injury that sidelined him for the better part of a month. Taurean Prince and Tim Hardaway Jr. should pick up a few extra minutes of playing time as a result.

Curry took part in the team shootaround and told local media that he would play tonight when the Mavericks take on New Orleans. He missed the teams last game and his return will be a hit to the value of J.J. Barea and Yogi Ferrell.

Originally listed as questionable, Gasol has been ruled out with a left foot injury and will miss his third consecutive game for the team. Zach Randolph and Mike Conley are the biggest beneficiaries in terms of usage bumps.

Carroll was a full participant in the Raptors shootaround today and is expected to play and start for the team tonight when they face Charlotte. P.J Tucker will return to the bench and neither are attractive DFS options given their inconsistent, limited upside, production.

Cousins has officially been listed as questionable for tomorrow’s game against the Dallas Mavericks with a sprained right ankle that has forced him to miss two consecutive games. If Cousins is unable to give it a go, Dante Cunningham would draw the start at power forward once again but still remains irrelevant in daily fantasy formats. The absence of Cousins from the lineup is obviously a tremendous bump to the projected fantasy value of Anthony Davis and Jrue Holiday since a large amount of usage and fantasy production will need to be diverted elsewhere in the starting unit. In fact, Davis (38.0%), Holiday (25.8%), Jordan Crawford (29.1%), and Tim Frazier (15.8%) all own at least a +2.1% usage rate differential with Cousins off the court since the All-Star break. Clearly, Davis and Holiday are firmly in play for tournaments despite the pace down matchup with an offensively deliberate Mavericks squad.

Jon Leuer will start ahead of Tobias Harris tonight
Leuer will be inserted into the Pistons starting lineup at power forward for tonight’s game against the Miami Heat, which will send Tobias Harris back to the bench to assume a reserve role. It remains unclear whether Leuer will see a change in his actual minute allotment, as Pistons head coach Stan Van Gundy has experimented with this lineup change several times before and Harris still typically saw more playing time off the bench than Leuer did as a starter. This news may actually be a bump to the projected fantasy value of Harris considering he will demand much higher usage with the second unit and will likely still see similar starters’ minutes in a bench role.

Booker will not play in tonight’s game against the Atlanta Hawks due to what is being called an ankle “injury” despite never appearing on the Suns’ injury report throughout the day. There has yet to be any official update from the Suns on the availability of Leandro Barbosa or Ronnie Price, who was listed as questionable in the Suns’ game notes with a left leg contusion that has forced him to miss five consecutive games. In Booker’s absence, Derrick Jones Jr. will draw the start at shooting guard but still remains a particularly unappealing daily fantasy option. T.J. Warren and Tyler Ulis were already elite options, especially on FanDuel, prior to this news but are now virtually stone-cold locks for all formats given the likelihood each player will see well over 40 minutes of action in Tuesday’s contest.

Nicholson is officially inactive and will not be available to play in tonight’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers. His minutes have been all over the map in recent games, so his absence is unlikely to greatly affect any one player in the Nets’ rotation. In fact, Nicholson’s inactive status is likely directly correlated with Sean Kilpatrick’s return from injury and Brooklyn opting to keep K.J. McDaniels active instead.
