Montrezl Harrell (personal) ruled out for tonight
Harrell will not be playing tonight since his girlfriend is giving birth to their child. Harrell has not played for four straight games and his absence is not changing the rotation much. We might see Nene pick up a few extra minutes, but it’s unlikely that he plays more than 20 minutes against an uptempo Golden State team. Clint Capela has been solid for the last four games and will continue to be a viable cash game play tonight. He lacks the usage but cleans up the glass and picks up the defensive stats.

Sergio Rodriguez (left hamstring strain) ruled out for tonight; Tiago Splitter available to play
Rodriguez will not play in tonight’s game against the Brooklyn Nets after previously being listed as questionable on the Sixers’ injury report with a strained left hamstring. His absence from the rotation significantly raises the minute floor of T.J. McConnell, making him an elite tournament pivot off chalkier options like Tyler Ulis and Ish Smith at point guard. Nik Stauskas is also now in play for tournaments, as he will be required to soak up some backup point guard minutes and extra reserve shooting guard minutes with Gerald Henderson sidelined as well. Additionally, Tiago Splitter will be available to make his Sixers’ debut after being recalled from the D-League earlier in the day. His role in the rotation remains unknown but does make Shawn Long a less appealing tournament option given the risk of losing some minutes to Splitter.

Booker will not play in tonight’s game against the Atlanta Hawks due to what is being called an ankle “injury” despite never appearing on the Suns’ injury report throughout the day. There has yet to be an update from the Suns on the availability of Ronnie Price, who was listed as questionable in the Suns’ game notes with a left leg contusion that has forced him to miss five consecutive games. In Booker’s absence, Derrick Jones Jr. will likely draw the start at shooting guard regardless of Price’s availability. T.J. Warren and Tyler Ulis were already elite options, especially on FanDuel, prior to this news but are now virtually stone-cold locks for all formats given the likelihood each player will see well over 40 minutes of action in Tuesday’s contest.

Kilpatrick is officially available to play in tonight’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers after previously being listed as probable on the Nets’ injury report with a strained left hamstring that had forced him to miss seven consecutive games, However, his actual role in the rotation still remains unclear, as Nets head coach Kenny Atkinson told reporters in his pregame interview that Kilpatrick will play “here and there” in tonight’s contest. Kilpatrick is clearly not a viable option tonight, but his potential presence in the rotation does throw a wrench into the projected fantasy value of players like K.J. McDaniels, Isaiah Whitehead, and Spencer Dinwiddie.

Middleton will play in tonight’s game against the Charlotte Hornets after previously being considered questionable with a stomach virus due to missing the Bucks’ morning shootaround. Middleton should be expected to be a full-go but is certainly a more risky option than he was prior to the news of his illness this morning, which reserves him to tournament use only on Tuesday’s slate. The Hornets surprisingly struggle with opposing wing players, ranking 22nd and 23rd in DvP against small forwards and shooting guards respectively, just adding to Middleton’s tournament appeal this evening. Middleton will certainly be low-owned, but the risk of him being limited or unable to finish the game may outweigh the potential reward.
As reported by: CF Gardner Rodney Stuckey (left knee strain) officially ruled out for tonight; expected to miss 4-6 weeks
Stuckey is going to miss four to six weeks due to a patellar strain in his left knee. Stuckey was not playing much but was supposed to pick up the minutes left behind by the injured Glenn Robinson III. Stuckey has dealt with a myriad of injuries all season long and rarely did you miss having him in your lineups. The Pacers are running a tighter rotation with Stuckey and GR3 out. Al Jefferson is also out for a few weeks due to an ankle issue, but he was not a viable DFS option as well. Lavoy Allen has seen more of the big man minutes off the bench.

Nick Young will remain out tonight but he has not yet been ruled out for the remainder of the season. This should mean a few more minutes for Larry Nance and David Nwaba but neither are viable DFS options.

The young Lakers forward has been ruled out by the team in advance of their game with the Wizards tonight due to a knee injury. Corey Brewer will start in his place, but he’s a risky option given his typical lack of production when he is on the court.

The Celtics big man left practice early with what appeared to be a knee injury and is considered questionable for their Wednesday game. His role in the rotation is minimal but it would mean a few more minutes for Kelly Olynyk and Tyler Zeller if he is unable to go.

Middleton has come down with a stomach virus that caused him to miss the team shootaround this morning. He’s considered questionable for Milwaukee’s game against Charlotte tonight. Usually these kind of downgrades lead to a player missing the game so it’s something we’ll keep a close eye on heading to tip-off. Mirza Teletovic and Tony Snell would be the biggest beneficiaries if he can’t go with Teletovic being the preferred option of the two and a viable DFS play tonight.

Okafor remains out for Philadelphia while Henderson has been ruled out after playing in the teams last game with left hip soreness. Sergio Rodriguez has been downgraded to questionable while Tiago Splitter went through the team shootaround and is also questionable. Richaun Holmes will continue to be the biggest beneficiary of Okafor sitting and is a viable option going against Brook Lopez and the Nets tonight. Rodriguez is coming off a solid outing but has been downgraded to questionable with hamstring tightness. If he can’t go, T.J. McConnell will see all the work he can handle at the point. With Henderson out and Rodriguez shaky, expect Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot to log some heavy minutes as well.

Jackson will be rested and won’t play in tomorrow’s game against the Miami Heat. This is the second consecutive game he will miss due to rest, and Pistons head coach Stan Van Gundy stated that he is still unsure if the team will shut Jackson down for the remainder of the season. Ish Smith had recently overtaken the starting point guard role and looks to have secured the job for the rest of the regular season regardless of Jackson’s availability. With this news, Smith will become a top value option on Tuesday’s slate considering Beno Udrih is the only other active point guard competing for playing time behind him. It is realistic to expect Smith to see in the range of 30-35 minutes tomorrow and going forward, which should allow him to easily exceed salary-based expectations until his price tag across the industry adjusts to his new role with Jackson presumably unavailable.

Shelvin Mack (sprained left ankle) available to play tonight
Mack will dress and is officially available to play in tonight’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans after previously being listed as questionable on the Jazz’s injury report with a sprained left ankle that had forced him to miss 11 consecutive games. Mack had been bumped from the rotation even prior to his injury stint, so his status does not do much to alter the projected fantasy value of anyone else in the Jazz rotation. Gordon Hayward’s unavailability, on the other hand, frees up a ton of usage for the likes of Rodney Hood, Rudy Gobert, and George Hill in the starting unit. Joe Ingles will receive the starting nod at small forward alongside Boris Diaw at the four, putting Ingles firmly in play as a value option at a typically shallow small forward position on the late slate.

Gasol will not play in tonight’s game against the Sacramento Kings after previously being listed as doubtful on the Grizzlies’ injury report with a strained left foot that has now forced him to miss two consecutive games. In his absence, Zach Randolph will receive the starting nod alongside JaMychal Green in the frontcourt once again. Surprisingly, Mike Conley hasn’t historically seen a bump in usage rate or fantasy production with Gasol off the court this season, but Zach Randolph (33.5%), Vince Carter (18.7%), and Troy Daniels (28.4%) all own at least +2.7% usage rate differential in the aforementioned scenario. Based solely on expected playing time, Randolph and Carter are the preferred options of the trio, while Conley is still worth a look in all formats in a matchup with a Kings squad that ranks 19th in DvP against opposing point guards.
