D'Angelo Russell (knee) ruled out for Sunday
Russell did not travel with the team for tomorrow’s game against the Dallas Mavericks, effectively ruling him out. Jose Calderon will likely draw the start at point guard, as Lakers head coach Luke Walton prefers to keep his second unit as intact as possible. Lou Williams will continue to the Laker guard to target while Russell is sidelined, as he leads the Lakers with a 33.4% usage rate with Russell off the court this season and should see upwards of 30 minutes off the bench.

Troy Daniels (knee) ruled out tonight, will be day-to-day going forward
Daniels will not play in tonight’s game against the Houston Rockets after sustaining a sprained right knee in Friday’s win over the Sacramento Kings. The Grizzlies plan to list Daniels on their injury report day-to-day going forward. With Chandler Parsons (rest) back from a one-game absence, Daniels absence from the rotation does very little to affect the minute allotment of the other wing players.

Leuer will play in tonight’s game against the Washington Wizards after previously being listed as probable on the Pistons’ injury report with a bone bruise in his right knee that had forced him to miss five consecutive games. Leuer will come off the bench, meaning Tobias Harris and Marcus Morris will remain in the starting lineup at the forward spots. Additionally, Reggie Bullock will continue to start at shooting guard for the injured Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and is a viable tournament punt on the early and all day slates considering he’s seen at least 26 minutes of action in each game Caldwell-Pope has missed.

Davis will not play in tonight’s game against the Boston Celtics due to a sprained left wrist. Noah Vonleh is expected to remain in the starting lineup after replacing Al-Farouq Aminu at power forward in Friday’s tilt with the Philadelphia 76ers. The only Portland big man to see more than 25 minutes in that game was Mason Plumlee, making it extremely difficult to key in on any one of the remaining frontcourt players. Aminu is currently too expensive for his current role, so Vonleh makes the most sense as a tournament punt if aiming to try and predict the Trail Blazers frontcourt rotation behind Plumlee.

Jerebko will not play in tonight’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers after previously being listed as probable on the Celtics’ injury report due to an illness. Jerebko has been a mainstay in the Celtics’ second unit, and his absence likely frees up some additional minutes for Kelly Olynyk and even Amir Johnson with Tyler Zeller also remaining sidelined. Additionally, Marcus Smart will also play and start for the injured Avery Bradley after a briefly being downgraded to probable earlier in the afternoon.

Deng has officially been listed as questionable for tomorrow’s game against the Dallas Mavericks after missing two consecutive games with a sprained right wrist. Deng practiced on Saturday, so he seems to be nearing a return. Brandon Ingram would almost certainly draw the start at small forward once again in his place. Deng has missed four games this season, and Ingram has averaged just under 35 minutes of playing time in those contests. Not only is Ingram’s minute floor increased without Deng, but he has also been playing well of late, which would just further cement his status as one of the top value options on Sunday’s slate.

The Sixers announced today that the team has recalled Richaun Holmes from the Delaware 87ers of the NBA Development League. Holmes will be available to play in tonight’s game against the Atlanta Hawks but is not expected to see much, if any, playing time. Holmes would likely only play in the event of an injury or foul trouble for Jahlil Okafor or Nerlens Noel with Joel Embiid already ruled out for rest.

Rubio is not currently with the team and will not play in tomorrow’s game against the Denver Nuggets as he deals with a personal matter. Kris Dunn will likely draw the start at point guard, as he started each of the five games Rubio missed earlier in the season. Dunn didn’t play particularly well in those starts and Tyus Jones saw nearly the same amount of minutes despite coming off the bench. Both young guards will clearly be in play Sunday, but Jones could be an interesting pivot from Dunn in tournaments.

Harris will not play in tonight’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers due to a sprained right ankle. The Nuggets hope to have him back for Tuesday’s contest against the Utah Jazz, effectively ruling Harris out for Sunday’s tilt with the Minnesota Timberwolves as well. Will Barton will continue to start at shooting guard in Harris’ absence and has averaged 35 minutes of action in his previous two starts, making him one of the top value options at shooting guard for Saturday’s slate.

Arthur and Gallinari will both play in tonight’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers after previously being listed as questionable on the Nuggets’ injury report. Arthur had missed the last four games and will be limited to an unspecified minutes restriction. As for Gallinari, he is coming off a one-game absence due to a sprained right ankle but is expected to see his normal allotment of minutes. Gallinari is an intriguing tournament option on Saturday’s slate considering he will likely draw a juicy individual matchup with Austin Rivers and Wesley Johnson. The Clippers should have no choice but to continue rolling with three-guard lineups with Blake Griffin and Chris Paul still sidelined with injuries, forcing Luc Mbah a Moute to primarily man the four the spot.

Harris will not play in tonight’s game against the Charlotte Hornets due to a sprained left ankle. The Nets have yet to announce who will replace him in the starting lineup, but Sean Kilpatrick is the likeliest candidate after being rested Friday. If given the starting nod, Kilpatrick could make for an intriguing tournament option at shooting guard for an affordable price tag across the industry, though he still continues to compete for minutes with rookie Caris LeVert and Bojan Bogdanovic limiting his ceiling in some regards.

Parker will not play in tonight’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers after previously being listed as questionable on the Spurs’ injury report with an ankle injury that also forced him to miss Thursday’s win over the Denver Nuggets. Dejounte Murray will draw the start at point guard once again in Parker’s absence and played extremely well in 34 minutes in his last start. Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich prefers to keep Patty Mills, who saw just 16 minutes Thursday, in his reserve role. However, it remains to be seen if this new minute allocation becomes a trend when Parker is sidelined, as Murray had typically been a starter in name only with Mills seeing a majority of playing time. Both guards are rather risky options given the uncertainty of the Spurs’ point guard rotation, and Murray will likely see inflated ownership after his breakout performance, making him an intriguing tournament fade.

Love has officially been listed as questionable for tonight’s game against the San Antonio Spurs after participating in Saturday’s shootaround with a sore lower back that forced him to miss Thursday’s win over the Phoenix Suns. If Love is unable to give it a go, James Jones will likely draw the start at power forward once again and split power forward minutes with Channing Frye and LeBron James. With Love and J.R. Smith off the court this season, Kyrie Irving actually leads the Cavaliers with a 7.3% usage rate differential (38.4%), which would immediately vault him into consideration as the top point guard options on tonight’s slate if Love is ruled out, despite the perceived difficult matchup with San Antonio.

Leuer has officially been upgraded to probable for tonight’s game against the Washington Wizards after previously being listed as questionable on the Pistons’ injury report with a bone bruise in his right knee that has forced him to miss five consecutive games. If Leuer is able to suit up, he will come off the bench while Tobias Harris and Marcus Morris will remain in the starting lineup at the forward spots. Additionally, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope will not play due to a shoulder injury and was a long-shot to be active anyway after being extremely limited in Friday’s practice. Reggie Bullock will continue to start at shooting guard in his place and is a viable tournament punt on the early and all day slates considering he’s seen at least 26 minutes of action in each game Caldwell-Pope has missed.

Anderson will not play in tomorrow’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies after being limited to just nine minutes in Friday’s loss to the Golden State Warriors due to an illness that has now forced him to miss three of the Rockets’ last four games. Corey Brewer will likely draw the start at small forward once again, sliding Trevor Ariza down to the power forward spot. Despite the starting nod, Brewer is an easy avoid in every format considering he will likely be a starter in name only, as he’s averaged just under 19 minutes per game in his seven spot starts this season. With Anderson off the court this season, James Harden (41.6%) and Eric Gordon (29.1%) both own a usage rate differential north of 3.6% and are obviously fine options on Saturday’s slate, along with Ariza, despite the less than ideal matchup with Memphis.
