Cody Zeller likely OUT for Hornets tonight

Yet another player battling illness, the Charlotte Hornets big man missed shootaround today and the team has stated he is unlikely to play tonight when they face Houston. Roy Hibbert and Spencer Hawes stand to benefit the most from Zeller’s absence but both are risky, low-floor options.

Giannis Antetokounmpo questionable for Milwaukee tonight

The Bucks star player was a late scratch on Sunday and is still battling the illness that caused him to miss that game. He’s questionable for tonight’s game against San Antonio and Head Coach Jason Kidd stated he would be a game-time decision. Mirza Teletovic and Michael Beasley would both receive a significant boost if Giannis can’t play again.

LaMarcus Aldridge OUT for San Antonio tonight

Aldridge is suffering the same bug that has been sweeping the league the past week or so and has been ruled out for the Spurs tonight against Milwaukee. David Lee is the likely starter in his place and will be a viable value option on tonight’s slate.

Eric Gordon still questionable for Rockets tonight

Gordon has a sprained toe and the team has listed him as questionable for their game tonight against Charlotte after he missed shootaround today and practice yesterday. Corey Brewer and Sam Dekker stand to benefit the most if Gordon sits.

Derrick Rose

Derrick Rose (personal) ruled out for tonight; Brandon Jennings starting in his place

Rose was scratched from the Knicks’ lineup for tonight’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans after reportedly not even traveling with the team to New Orleans. The news was reported just minutes after lineup lock for the main slates, so unfortunately there was no time to pivot to Brandon Jennings, who will draw the start at point guard in Rose’s absence.

Jimmy Butler

Golden State Warriors
1/09/17, 8:41 PM ET

Jimmy Butler (illness) said he's playing tonight

Butler told reporters that he will play in tonight’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder after previously being listed as questionable on the Bulls’ injury report with an illness that forced him to miss Monday’s shootaround. Butler will reported play without a strict minutes restriction but will be monitored by the Bulls’ coaching staff throughout the game for fatigue. With Denzel Valentine already ruled out, Doug McDermott will still see plenty of run with the first and second units and is in play in all formats despite Butler being active.

Denzel Valentine

Boston Celtics

Denzel Valentine (ankle) ruled out for tonight

Valentine will not play in tonight’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder after previously being listed as questionable on the Bulls’ injury report with a left ankle injury that has now forced him to miss three consecutive games. Ever since Bulls’ head coach Fred Hoiberg dropped Rajon Rondo from the rotation, Jerian Grant has averaged approximately 21 minutes per game off the bench and will likely remain ahead of Valentine in the rotation going forward even once he returns from injury.

Mindaugas Kuzminskas

New York Knicks

Mindaugas Kuzminskas (illness) ruled out for tonight

Kuzminskas will not play in tonight’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans due to an illness. Kuzminskas has been seeing in the ballpark of 15 minutes on a nightly basis, so his allotment of playing time should bet disbursed among the starters and Lance Thomas and Justin Holiday off the bench. However, Thomas and Holiday will not see a large enough of an uptick in minutes to make them fantasy viable this evening.

Udonis Haslem

Miami Heat
1/09/17, 6:59 PM ET

Udonis Haslem (illness) questionable for Tuesday

Haslem has officially been listed as questionable for tomorrow night’s game against the Golden State Warriors after missing Monday’s practice with an illness. Haslem was a DNP-CD in Miami’s previous game with Hassan Whiteside returning from injury on Sunday, so his potential absence from the Heat’s active roster on Tuesday obviously does basically nothing to move the needle of any other members of the Heat’s rotation.

David Lee

San Antonio Spurs
1/09/17, 6:46 PM ET

David Lee (knee) available to play on Tuesday

Lee has officially been cleared to play in tomorrow night’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks after missing his first game of the season with a bruised left knee in Saturday’s win over the Charlotte Hornets. His return to the Spurs’ rotation will send Dewayne Dedmon and Davis Bertans back to their normal reserve roles and minute allotments.

DeAndre Bembry

Milwaukee Bucks
1/09/17, 6:14 PM ET

DeAndre Bembry (personal) ruled out for Tuesday

Bembry will not play in tomorrow night’s game against the Brooklyn Nets as he continues to deal with a personal matter. The Hawks recently acquired Mike Dunleavy in a trade with the Cleveland Cavaliers for Kyle Korver. However, Dunleavy will not be available to play in Tuesday’s contest. With Bembry and Dunleavy unavailable, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Taurean Prince will handle a majority of the backup wing minutes for Atlanta on Tuesday evening.

The Raptors have recalled Delon Wright from their D-League affiliate

Trevor Booker

Indiana Pacers
1/09/17, 6:17 PM ET

Trevor Booker (hip) questionable; Jeremy Lin (hamstring) out for Tuesday

Trevor Booker is dealing with a hip injury and is questionable for Tuesday’s game against the Hawks. Since the Nets waived Anthony Bennet, it’s possible that Luis Scola returns to the starting lineup. Jeremy Lin continues to be out for the Nets and no update has been given regarding his status. Look for another update regarding the Nets tomorrow.

Giannis Antetokounmpo (illness), Rashad Vaughn (ankle), and Michael Beasley (shin) all listed as probable for Tuesday

Antetokounmpo was ruled out of Sunday’s contest due to an illness but is expected to play on Tuesday against the Spurs. Rashad Vaughn has missed the past nine games due to an ankle injury but should be available to play on Tuesday. He’s not a strong fantasy option and will likely not even see 10 minutes on the court. Michael Beasley is a GPP option even if he does play because he’s so scoring dependent.

Nicolas Batum

LA Clippers
1/09/17, 5:34 PM ET

Cody Zeller (illness) questionable and Nicolas Batum (knee) doubtful for Tuesday

Cody Zeller is being listed as questionable due to an illness and if he misses the game expect Roy Hibbert to start in his place. Hibbert is not a strong fantasy option but Spencer Hawes has proven to be a threat with Zeller out of the lineup. Nicolas Batum is expected to miss all of this week and Jeremy Lamb will likely start in his place. Lamb continues to be an elite fantasy option with Batum out of the lineup. The only thing to watch out for his salary spike. Stay tuned for more updates from the Hornets.
