John Jenkins

New York Knicks
1/06/17, 6:26 PM ET

John Jenkins, Pierre Jackson, and Ryan Kelly have been waived by their respective teams

John Jenkins has been waived by the Suns. Pierre Jackson has been waived by the Mavericks. Lastly, Ryan Kelly was waived by the Hawks. John Jenkins was not getting much playing time with the plethora of guards that the Suns have. Pierre Jackson was expendable due to the fact that J.J. Barea is nearing a return. Ryan Kelly was waived to make the Korver trade with Cleveland work.

Dion Waiters

Los Angeles Lakers
1/06/17, 7:08 PM ET

Dion Waiters (groin) will have a restriction of 10-15 minutes tonight

Waiters will play in tonight’s game against the Sacramento Kings after being missing the Heat’s previous 20 games with a torn pectineus. Waiters will come off the bench in his return and be limited by a restriction of 10-15 minutes. His presence in the rotation will lower the minute floors of Rodney McGruder and Wayne Ellington, removing both from daily fantasy consideration for the foreseeable future. With Hassan Whiteside already ruled out for this contest, James Johnson, Goran Dragic, and Willie Reed are the primary Miami players to target this evening.

Nikola Jokic

Denver Nuggets
1/06/17, 5:04 PM ET

Nikola Jokic (illness) and Kenneth Faried (back) listed as questionable for Saturday

Jokic and Faried are both questionable for the Nuggets’ game against the Thunder. If both players miss, Jusuf Nurkic would be in line for a huge bump in fantasy value. Darrell Arthur will continue starting at PF and is also a low-end viable option. His minutes are starting to trend in the right direction and he could easily play over 24 minutes if Faried and Jokic are out. Stay tuned for another update regarding the Nuggets.

Alonzo Gee

Denver Nuggets
1/06/17, 4:36 PM ET

Alonzo Gee has been waived by the Nuggets

Alonzo Gee has been waived by the Nuggets. He was not getting consistent playing time in the rotation and with the team back to full health, they did not need him as an insurance option.

Rudy Gay

Golden State Warriors

Rudy Gay officially upgraded to probable for tonight

Just confirmation of our previous report where Gay stated he would be playing – this upgrade confirms that’s indeed true.

Luol Deng

Minnesota Timberwolves
1/06/17, 4:19 PM ET

Luol Deng questionable for Lakers tonight

Deng missed the Laker’s game last night against Portland with a biceps injury and is questionable for their game tonight against the Heat. Brandon Ingram would be the biggest beneficiary if Deng sits again with some additional run off the bench for Thomas Robinson.

Klay Thompson

Miami Heat
1/06/17, 4:17 PM ET

Klay Thompson questionable for Golden State tonight due to illness

Late additions to the injury report due to illness are never a good sign so there’s a good chance Thompson will sit out tonight’s game against the Grizzlies. Ian Clark would get more minutes but it’s Steph Curry, Draymond Green, and Kevin Durant that would benefit the most as Thompson’s shots would likely be sent their way.

JaMychal Green

Golden State Warriors
1/06/17, 4:04 PM ET

JaMychal Green's status for tonight to be determined later today

Memphis forward JaMychal Green took part in the team shootaround today and will make a decision as to whether he will play tonight after he tests a protective mask for his injured eye. If he can’t go, Zach Randolph gets a bump in minutes and is a viable, but risky, GPP play.

Chris Paul

Toronto Raptors
1/06/17, 3:31 PM ET

Chris Paul "most likely" going to play tonight for Clippers

Clippers Head Coach Doc Rivers stated that his star PG is “most likely” going to play tonight when they take on the Kings. This news definitely removes some of the value options on the slate as it’s a direct impact to the viability of players like Austin Rivers, Raymond Felton, and to a lesser extent Jamal Crawford. If anything changes regarding Paul, we’ll let you know but for now consider him in play and a viable option facing a Sacramento team that is 18th in total fantasy points allowed per game.

Rudy Gay

Golden State Warriors
1/06/17, 3:28 PM ET

Rudy Gay says he will play tonight for Kings

The Kings forward has only played in 1 of the teams last 11 games and while listed questionable seems to be more probable than anything as he took part in the team shootaround and told reporters that he was “going today.” No word on if there will be any minutes limitation but it’ll be a hit to the value of Matt Barnes, Garrett Temple, and Anthony Tolliver regardless.

Jeremy Lin

Golden State Warriors
1/06/17, 2:53 PM ET

Jeremy Lin remains OUT for Nets; Rondae Hollis-Jefferson questionable

Lin is out indefinitely with no timetable for return so this news is not surprising. Sean Kilpatrick is the biggest benefactor of Lin’s absence. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson is also listed by the team as questionable after not playing for the Nets last night.

Nik Stauskas

Indiana Pacers
1/06/17, 2:01 PM ET

Nik Stauskas is the only Sixers starter not confirmed as starting at this time

The Sauce has been starting in place of Gerald Henderson but could lose the starting spot tonight. With Sergio Rodriguez also expected back, Stauskas will likely also lose reps as the backup PG. He’s a risky GPP option coming off the bench because the minutes are not secure but does see a slightly higher usage rate because Joel Embiid dominates the ball when he is starting. T.J. McConnell will remain in the starting lineup even though Sergio Rodriguez is expected back tonight. Look for another update on the Sixers later today.

Kristaps Porzingis

Golden State Warriors
1/06/17, 1:53 PM ET

Kristaps Porzingis (Achillies) will play tonight

Porzingis is expected to return to the starting lineup tonight against the Bucks. He is also expected to be on a minutes restriction but no official announcement of the actual minutes has been mentioned at this time. Lance Thomas has been starting at SF while Carmelo Anthony has been starting at PF in the absence of Porzingis. Expect Thomas to go back to the bench and Anthony to return to his natural SF position.

Nicolas Batum

LA Clippers
1/06/17, 1:49 PM ET

Nicolas Batum (knee) expected to miss 1-2 weeks

Batum had an MRI on his knee and it showed that there was no structural damage. Batum is still expected to miss 1-2 weeks due to the hyperextended knee and we could see Jeremy Lamb and Kemba Walker really pick it up in the absence of Batum. MKG also gets a slight bump but he lacks a consistent offensive game to really make a difference. Marco Belinelli is also a candidate for a bump in minutes with Batum sidelined.

Joel Embiid

Philadelphia 76ers
1/06/17, 12:37 PM ET

Joel Embiid probable for 76ers; Sergio Rodriguez questionable

Embiid has been upgraded to probable after being listed as questionable yesterday. Robert Covington was also upgraded to probable and Gerald Henderson is probable as well. Meanwhile, Rodriguez had been listed as probable yesterday but he’s been downgraded to questionable which is always a red flag that the player won’t play. The 76ers face a Celtics team that is bottom 10 in fantasy points allowed per game putting Embiid and Covington both in play. If Rodriguez doesn’t sit, T.J. McConnell will be an excellent value option at PG.
