Michael Beasley (foot) expected to play off the bench; Mirza Teletovic and Rashad Vaughn ruled out
Beasley will reportedly be available to play in tonight’s game against the Washington Wizards after previously being listed as probable on the Bucks injury report with a sprained left foot that has caused him to be sidelined for the previous five games. Beasley will almost assuredly see the court in some capacity this evening given the unavailability of Mirza Teletovic and Rashad Vaughn due to injuries. There will extra minutes and usage that needs to be disbursed among the remaining members of the second unit, but it’s tough to confidently project which reserve player will benefit the most. Malcolm Brogdon and Greg Monroe had been carrying the offensive load even prior to the the Teletovic and Vaughn injuries, so they should be the primary tournament punt targets for Milwaukee.

Jason Smith (wrist) available to play off the bench tonight
Smith will be available to play in tonight’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks after apparently tweaking his wrist in the Wizards previous game on Friday. Smith hasn’t eclipsed 15 minutes of playing time in over a month, so needless to say he should not be on anyone’s fantasy radar for Monday’s slate. In addition, his presence in the rotation has little to no effect on the Washington starters.

Nik Stauskas was unable to play in the Sixers’ previous game against the Suns due to a knee contusion. He’s been upgraded to probable for tonight’s game against his former team the Kings. Stauskas is simply a GPP option because he does not provide a secure floor. Stauskas has yet to score over 30 fantasy points this season and his FanDuel season-high is 26.5 fantasy points, meaning he does not have much upside.

Oladipo is still experiencing pain when he shoots and passes and will miss his eighth consecutive game for the Magic tomorrow night. Anthony Morrow and Jerami Grant continue to benefit in his absence.

Chris Paul upgraded to questionable for tonight
Well back to more uncertainty regarding the Clippers PG. After being told that he would be out today for their game against the Nuggets the team has upgraded him to questionable. J.J. Redick is also listed as questionable. It’s a situation we’ll have to continue to monitor but with the game having a 10:30 pm ET start it’s probably not going to be answered before rosters lock. Paul will make for a high-risk option given the injury uncertainty but if he is able to play the match up against Denver is as good as it gets. His return would also be a hit to the value of Raymond Felton and Austin Rivers.

Updating our previous report, it is now being reported that Howard and Hardaway will both play tonight for Atlanta. They had previously been ruled as out. This removes Mike Muscala from DFS consideration and is a hit to the the value of Paul Millsap and Kyle Korver.

Reminding everyone that Portland reported yesterday that their star PG is doubtful for their game Monday night against the Raptors. For what it’s worth, Lillard has stated that he’s planning to play so there is that possibility. Shabazz Napier and Allen Crabbe would both see extended playing time if Lillard is out but it’d be C.J. McCollum who would benefit the most as his usage rate climbs dramatically without Lillard on the court with him.

Paul left DFS players wondering all day on Christmas day as to whether he would play or not and was eventually scratched after a warm up during pre-games. Today that question is answered much sooner as the team has already ruled him out for their game against the Nuggets tonight. Raymond Felton is coming off a good game, should get the start, and is a top play tonight facing a Nuggets defense that is 27th in PG DvP. Austin Rivers, J.J. Redick, and Jamal Crawford also benefit from Paul’s absence.

Orlando Head Coach Frank Vogel stated Evan Fournier who has a bruised right heel will be a game-time decision for their game against the Grizzlies. Regardless of whether he plays or not, it’s a tough match up facing a Memphis team that is 2nd in total fantasy points allowed per game. Jodie Meeks would be the likely starter and biggest beneficiary if Fournier can’t play.

Both players were expected to not play today after being listed as out previously and this confirms that expectation. Paul Millsap, Mike Muscala, and Kyle Korver should all benefit from these two sitting with Millsap the best option of the three.

Barea has a muscle strain and is day-to-day but will not play tonight against the Pelicans. Harris and Nowitzki are both expected to play but both are limited in terms of minutes and are not viable DFS options. With Barea out, Deron Williams and Seth Curry will see plenty of run and both are viable DFS options going against a Pelicans team that is 28th in PG DvP.

Paul has been scratched from the Clippers lineup for tonight’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers after previously being confirmed as active and starting at point guard. Raymond Felton will likely remain in the starting lineup in place of Paul and makes a fine punt option on sites that still offer late swap. Felton played a whopping 34 minutes in his previous start and draws an exploitable matchup with the Lakers’ back court. Jamal Crawford and Austin Rivers also remain viable options, as they can be expected to handle more of the offensive load once again in Paul’s absence. Paul Pierce will also remain in the starting lineup for the injured Blake Griffin but has only seen 10 minutes of playing time in each of his previous two starts. Pierce can be safely ignored in every format across the industry.

Tarik Black (ankle) and Jose Calderon (hamstring) likely available to play tonight
Black and Calderon are expected to be available to play in tonight’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers after each had missed extended periods due to injuries. Calderon is reportedly already on the active roster for Sunday, while Black is likely to be available off the bench barring a setback in pregame warmups. Even if both players suit up and are active, it remains to be seen if they will actually see any time on the court, as Lakers head coach Luke Walton is unsure exactly how much they will play. Regardless of status, neither Black or Calderon will see enough minutes to be a factor in the Lakers’ rotation.

Isaiah Whitehead (foot) probable for Monday
Whitehead has officially been listed as probable for tomorrow night’s game against the Charlotte Hornets due to a sore left foot. Whitehead has missed three consecutive games with the aforementioned injury and his potential return to the lineup would likely knock Spencer Dinwiddie out of the rotation entirely, as he had been filling in at backup point guard behind Jeremy Lin. Despite his probable designation, Whitehead remains irrelevant in daily fantasy with Lin healthy and not limited by a minutes restriction.
