Isaiah Thomas OUT tonight for Boston
The Celtics starting PG went back to Boston to get treatment for his groin injury – it appears Marcus Smart will get the start tonight and he’s a legitimate value option at the PG position. It’s also a boost for Avery Bradley and Al Horford who should both see the ball more in their hands. Terry Rozier will likely see more run off of the bench as well.

Liggins will make his second career start with Smith ruled out but he’ll split minutes with Iman Shumpert and JordanMcRae making all three questionable DFS options given the uncertainty with playing time and roles.

Ginobili is active but is likely to be rested for tonight’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. This news comes after Spurs coach Gregg Popovich previously said that none of his players would be rested this evening. This is the third time that Ginobili has been rested on the second leg of a back-to-back set, so his unavailability isn’t all that surprising. His absence doesn’t shake up the fantasy landscape of the Spurs all that much, but Jonathon Simmons should see some extra run off the bench at shooting guard.

J.R. Smith (knee) ruled out Wednesday
Smith will not play in tomorrow night’s game against the New York Knicks after hyperextending his knee in Monday’s win over the Raptors. It remains unclear who will draw the start at shooting guard in Smith’s absence, but DeAndre Liggins did end up starting the second half Monday in his place. Richard Jefferson, Iman Shumpert, and Mike Dunleavy have all been given an opportunity to start in previous games Smith has missed, so this is certainly a situation to monitor going into Wednesday’s slate. However, it’s difficult to imagine any of the aforementioned players being fantasy viable with Lebron James, Kevin Love, and Kyrie Irving monopolizing all the usage in the starting unit.

Rush will be available to play off the bench for the Timberwolves in tonight’s game against the San Antonio Spurs. Whether he actually sees the court in his return remains to be seen. Timberwolves coach Tom Thibodeau prefers to run out a tight rotation, so Rush is likely to have minimal to no impact on the starters minutes, even if he does play. None of the Minnesota reserves are currently viable as daily fantasy options and would need an injury to become relevant.

Courtney Lee available tonight; has not been confirmed as the starter yet
Lee will reportedly be available to play in tonight’s game against the Miami Heat. He is not really on our fantasy radar this evening, but his presence does eliminate Justin Holiday from any sort of punt consideration in tournaments. Stay tuned for any further updates that come available prior to lock.

Parker will not play in tonight’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves with a knee injury that caused him to exit early in the Spurs previous game. Nicolas Laprovittola will be inserted into the starting lineup at point guard once again, though Patty Mills still remains the preferred target of the Spurs backcourt options. The absence of Parker is also a bump to the usage rates of Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge, making them our primary targets along with Mills.

Holmes will draw the start at center in tonight’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies in place of the resting Joel Embiid. The Sixers only have nine players available with Jahlil Okafor, Robert Covington, and Jerryd Bayless also ruled outt, meaning that the frontcourt minutes will be divided entirely between Holmes, Ersan Ilyasova, and Dario Saric. Feel confident in firing them up in any format and are certainly viable paired together in the same lineup as well.

Gasol will play in tonight’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers, but will only play a “serviceable” amount of minutes, according to Grizzlies coach David Fizdale. This is enough to remove Gasol from consideration in every format, as he could head to the bench early regardless of whether the game gets out of hand or not. The risk associated with Gasol may not be worth his potential downside despite the elite matchup against the Embiid-less Sixers frontcourt.

Babbitt and Richardson will not play in tonight’s game against the New York Knicks after being listed as questionable on the Heat’s injury report with separate physical ailments. Justise Winslow, Dion Waiters, and James Johnson were all previously ruled out as well, meaning Miami is extremely shorthanded and will only have nine players active for tonight’s contest. The aforementioned players have all been ruled out for the Heat’s upcoming three-game road trip as well, so look for Goran Dragic and Hassan Whiteside to continue carrying the load for this Miami squad. Wayne Ellington, Tyler Johnson, and even Josh McRoberts are intriguing tournament dart throws solely due to the plethora of minutes available in the rotation.

Mahinmi will not play in tonight’s game against the Orlando Magic with a sore right knee that has kept him sidelined for the Wizards’ previous four games. In his absence, Marcin Gortat’s workload will remain solidified with really only Jason Smith available to absorb the backup center minutes. Mahinmi has yet to really make an impact in the Wizards rotation, so this news does not change Washington’s fantasy outlook on Tuesday evening. The Wizards also made a roster move sending Shelden McClellan to the DLeague for 3-4 games to get some playing time, as he has recently fallen out of Washington’s regular rotation.

Paul Millsap was able to play last night against the Thunder and almost carried them to victory. Millsap was the Hawks best player and will continue to be so against the Heat on Wednesday. Mike Muscala will be a low-end DFS option with the return of Millsap and Dwight Howard will have to deal with Hassan Whiteside.

George Hill will continue to be out tonight for the Jazz. Dante Exum will likely continue to start again and looks to have found his stroke in Los Angeles last night. Still, he did not even see 20 minutes and is not a viable DFS option. Shelvin Mack is the stronger play and will likely see nearly 30 minutes tonight. Mack is $100 over the minimum on FanDuel and even handed out 7 assists last night. Proving that he is not only a scoring guard. Expect Mack to gain some ownership on a shorter slate, but remain a strong option in all formats.

Marvin Williams is listed as probable after missing the past six games due to a knee injury. Williams will likely resume his starting spot sending Frank Kaminsky to the bench. Williams is a viable tournament target against the Pistons but is nowhere near cash viable. With so many games on the slate, it’s likely a better idea to fade Williams until he can prove he’s recovered. He was not making a huge fantasy impact to begin with.
