Troy Williams starting at SF with Chandler Parsons and James Ennis injured
With Chandler Parsons and James Ennis already ruled out for the next couple of weeks, Grizzlies coach Dave Fizdale will have no choice but to play Tony Allen significant minutes earlier than he would likely have preferred. Troy Williams will draw the start at small forward, though he may be a starter in name only. The minutes and opportunity will certainly be there for someone to take advantage. Vince Carter will still come off the bench, but remains one of the better value options on the slate, as he will see an increased workload against this soft Sixers defense, and is the preferred target among the Grizzlies’ wing players.

Dion Waiters (groin) confirmed in the starting lineup
Waiters will play in tonight’s game against the Detroit Pistons after being listed as a game-time decision on the Heat’s injury report. Waiters will start alongside Goran Dragic, Josh Richardson, Derrick Williams, and Hassan Whiteside with Justise Winslow still sidelined. Waiters has continued to lead the Heat with a 29.2% usage rate when Justise Winslow has been off the court this season, while being a solid fantasy point per minute producer, so he remains a great mid-range option at an often shallow shooting guard position even in a less than perfect matchup with the Pistons..

Teague will be in the starting lineup for the Pacers as they take on, his former team, the Atlanta Hawks this evening. Teague sustained a minor ankle injury in Monday’s contest against the Golden State Warriors, but it was deemed he would have been healthy enough to return if the game hadn’t been so lopsided. Feel free to fire up Teague as we normally would in this matchup.

Kaminsky will play in tonight’s game against the San Antonio Spurs, as expected. With Zeller already ruled out due to a sore right shoulder, Roy Hibbert will likely draw the start at center once again in his place, though he remains irrelevant in daily fantasy, especially on a 13-game slate. However, Frank Kaminsky will look to continue to take advantage of the extra minutes at his disposal and owns a respectable 24.3% usage rate with Zeller off the court this season. He has been able to convert that usage into solid fantasy point per minute production and should remain an under the radar tournament flier, though the matchup is less than ideal this evening.

Jae Crowder will be in the starting lineup tonight against the Nets. He is dealing with an ankle injury and could be limited tonight. The Celtics do face the Nets as 30th in DvP against SFs. There might be some upside there but on a slate filled with 13 games, is it worth the risk? For tournaments, it does seem appealing but for cash games, it does not look like that is a strong option. Isaiah Thomas and Al Horford are the best options out of Boston.

Allen will play in tonight’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers, as expected, after being listed as probable on the Grizzlies’ injury report with a right groin issue. Aldridge and Parker will play in tonight’s game against the Charlotte Hornets after being rested in the Spurs previous game. They both will start, as expected, and push Dejounte Murray and Davis Bertans back to the bench to resume their normal roles. Murray and Bertans are now irrelevant for daily fantasy, at least until Spurs coach Gregg Popovich decides to rest his starters again in the not-so-distant future. Patty Mills and David Lee will also see their roles from the previous game diminished, and are nothing more than tournament dart throws in this matchup against with the Hornets.

D’Angelo Russell will miss at least two weeks after receiving a PRP injection in his left knee. Russell had missed two out of his last three games due to the injury and Jose Calderon has been starting in his place. Calderon actually played well last night and returned about 10x on his minimum level salary. He’ll be a viable play again tonight but this game figures to not be as close as last night. The Lakers are coming off an emotional victory over the Thunder and just lost Russell for two-three weeks, Additionally, Julius Randle is doubtful for tonight, lowering the team’s overall ceiling. In the absence of Russell, Jordan Clarkson should be able to exceed value until his salary reaches over $6k on FanDuel and DraftKings. Lou Williams has been hot and may see some extra shots with Russell out of the lineup.

Zeller will not play in tonight’s game against the San Antonio Spurs due to a sore right shoulder that has now caused him to miss three consecutive games. Roy Hibbert will likely draw the start at center once again in his place, though he remains irrelevant in daily fantasy, especially on a 13-game slate. Frank Kaminsky will look to continue to take advantage of the extra minutes at his disposal and owns a respectable 23.4% usage rate with Zeller off the court this season. He has been able to convert that usage into solid fantasy point per minute production and could remain an under the radar tournament flier. In addition, Lamb has officially been cleared to play and will be active for tonight’s contest, however, Hornets coach Steve Clifford declined to confirm whether Lamb would actually see any playing time in his return from a strained left hamstring. It’s probably best to ignore Marco Belinelli and the rest of the Charlotte backcourt reserves until we have a clearer picture of Clifford’s plans for the rotation.

Embiid will play in tonight’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies, and will be limited to his normal restriction of 24 minutes. Although, Sixers coach Brett Brown maybe a little more flexible with the minutes restriction this evening (if the game is close), since Embiid has already been officially ruled out for Friday’s game versus Chicago due to rest.

Holmes and Henderson have both been ruled out for tonight’s game against Memphis. They were both listed as doubtful on the Sixers’ injury report earlier in the day with illnesses, so this news was ultimately expected. Hollis Thompson will draw the start at shooting guard in place of Henderson, though it remains to be seen if he is able to capitalize on the extra playing time, as Joel Embiid soaks up so much of the usage in the starting unit that Thompson’s usage may actually suffer. The matchup against Tony Allen and the Grizzlies is less than ideal as well, making Thompson a secondary tournament punt option at best. In Holmes absence, look for the trio of Jahlil Okafor, Dario Saric, and Ersan Ilyasova to be the primary beneficiaries of additional minutes, though Okafor is the most likely to take advantage, as he leads the second unit with a 25.6% usage rate when Holmes and Henderson are off the court this season. If Okafor does receive a slightly longer leash in terms of minutes, he should have no problem exceeding value for his price tag around the industry.

George and Turner will play and start in tonight’s game against Atlanta after being upgraded to probable earlier today with their respective ankle injuries. There’s has been no official word of a minutes restriction for either player and both will reclaim their normal spots in the starting lineup. Turner can be easily avoided on a 13-game slate given the difficult matchup and his propensity to post wildly inconsistent production. As for George, he does carry some extra risk coming off an ankle injury, but if he is a full go, feel free to fire him up in tournaments for his potential upside. In addition, the Pacers have ruled out Kevin Seraphin for this contest, meaning Al Jefferson will likely see additional playing time at backup center. However, please don’t roster Al Jefferson.

Tyson Chandler continues to be out for the Suns and it looks like T.J. Warren will be out indefinitely. Alex Len will continue to start for Tyson Chandler while the Suns will use a 3-guard look again tonight and use Brandon Knight in place of T.J. Warren. Knight is actually a viable tournament option against the Magic who give up the 11th most fantasy points to SGs on the season. Devin Booker will continue to start at SF and has the greenest of lights. Booker is coming off a massive game where he scored 30 actual points and took 26 shots attempts.

Julius Randle has been downgraded to doubtful for tonight’s game against the Warriors. Randle was questionable for last night’s game against the Thunder but went through shootaround and ended up playing. He was limited to 20 minutes and was not his aggressive self. Larry Nance stepped up in his place and has a chance at starting tonight. Still, head coach Luke Walton has not informed us what the move officially will be. Look for another update regarding this situation.

Gallinari has an injured thigh and will miss the Nuggets game tonight against the Utah Jazz. It’s unknown who will start for him as of yet but it figures to be Jamal Murray and Wilson Chandler who benefit the most (according to RotoGrinders CourtIQ) with Emmanuel Mudiay also seeing a slight uptick in usage. It’s a tough match up, however, facing a Jazz team that is 2nd overall in fantasy points allowed per game. Still those three are viable GPP options given the uptick in usage they’ll see.
