Otto Porter and Markieff Morris will play tonight for Wizards
Two of the Wizards starters are going to play tonight against the Magic. It’s a game with one of the lower totals of the day and Morris has been wildly inconsistent and is a risky DFS play. Porter has shown tremendous upside but at $6K+ the value might not be there in a relatively slow paced game.

Jerryd Bayless to start at PG for 76ers
The veteran Bayless will get the start for Philly tonight against the Bulls. At or near the minimum on both major sites, Bayless is certainly in play as a value option tonight even with a tough match up (Chicago is 4th in PG DvP). Bayless put up close a fantasy point per minute over 30 minutes his last game out against Memphis. It’s a hit to the value of Sergio Rodriguez who is no longer in play as a DFS option.

Joel Embiid will miss another game for rest purposes – this was expected. Gerald Henderson has been listed by the team as questionable while Richaun Holmes and Nik Stauskas are both expected to play and are listed as probable.

Frye has been excused by the team to attend to the death of his father who unfortunately passed away yesterday. Tristan Thompson and Richard Jefferson should see a few extra minutes.

It’s Winslow’s fifth game in a row that he will miss due to a wrist injury. If Goran Dragic and Dion Waiters can’t go it’ll be a thin bench for the Heat which could lead to big minutes for Josh Richardson and Tyler Johnson – both would be viable options even given the super low total of their game with the Grizzlies.

Zeller had missed the past couple games for Charlotte but will be back on the court tonight against the Knicks. Roy Hibbert and Frank Kaminsky will lose some minutes with Hibbert returning to the bench. None of the three are particularly attractive DFS options given the lack of minutes they receive.

Not huge in terms of fantasy impact but Bullock will be out indefinitely after tearing the meniscus in his knee on Wednesday. Stanley Johnson should take his place in the Pistons rotation.

Updating our previous report, the team has now announced that Hollis-Jefferson will not play tonight. Sean Kilpatrick and Randy Foye should see a slight bump in minutes.

Dragic has a strained left elbow and Waiters a strained right groin – both are listed as questionable by the team in preparation for their game with the Memphis Grizzlies. Both should play but are not players you’ll want to target for DFS as this game has the lowest total by far at 189.5. We’ll update you on the status of these two when we learn more.

Jeremy Lin and Caris LeVert are both out for Brooklyn today when they face the Indiana Pacers. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson is questionable but looks unlikely to play. Isaiah Whitehead, however, is fine after spraining his wrist and should play.

Ingram will draw the start at small forward in tonight’s game against the Golden State Warriors. With Ingram manning the three, Luol Deng will slide over to power forward. With Randle ruled out, Ingram and Nance vault themselves firmly into elite value play status on the late slate in a fast pace matchup with the Warriors. Lakers coach Luke Walton seemed to be extremely hesitant to break up the second unit, but basically had no choice with D’Angelo Russell expected to miss at least the next two weeks. Jose Calderon will start at point guard in place of Russell.

Julius Randle (hip) ruled out tonight
Randle won’t play in tonight’s game against the Golden State Warriors after being extremely limited in Tuesday’s contest with a hip injury. Lakers coach Luke Walton seems to be extremely hesitant to break up the second unit, but will likely have no choice with D’Angelo Russell expected to miss at least the next two weeks. Jose Calderon will start at point guard in place of Russell, while Larry Nance will likely draw the start at power forward. With Randle ruled out, Nance vaults himself firmly into elite value play status on the late slate in a fast pace matchup with the Warriors.
Juan Hernangomez will start in place of injured Danilo Gallinari
Hernangomez will draw the start at small forward for tonight’s game against the Utah Jazz in a somewhat unexpected move by Nuggets coach Mike Malone. However, we should just expect the illogical coaching decisions from Malone at this point. The reasoning behind the move can likely be linked to Malone’s preference of keeping the second unit together as much as possible, specifically Wilson Chandler and Nikola Jokic. Despite not being inserted in the starting lineup, Chandler is still the primary beneficiary of Gallinari’s absence. Will Barton should also see some extended run in this contest.

Hill will play in tonight’s game against the Denver Nuggets after missing the Jazz’s previous eight games with a sprained right thumb. Hill will not be on a minutes restriction in his return, and will immediately reclaim his starting point guard spot from Dante Exum. This will send Exum back to the bench to resume his reserve role, though it remains unclear how the backup point guard minutes will be split between Exum and Shelvin Mack. With Derrick Favors still sidelined, we should expect Hill and Gordon Hayward to continue handling a majority of the scoring responsibilities on the offensive end, as they lead the Jazz with 29.1% and 31.7% usage rates, respectively, with Favors off the court. Hill carries some risk in his return from a thumb injury, but is a great tournament option on the late slate this evening.

Nowitzki will play in tonight’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers after being sidelined with a sore right Achilles for a significant stretch of games. When asked about a minutes restriction for Dirk, Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle refused to specify the exact limit, though did hint that his minutes will be closely monitored. Even at a reduced price around the industry, Nowitzki can be safely ignored on this massive 13-game slate. His return will send Dorian Finney-Smith back to the bench to resume his normal reserve role, while Harrison Barnes will see a slight tick down in fantasy value, as he will see less time at the power forward spot and less overall usage once Dirk is fully healthy.
