Derrick Favors and George Hill OUT tonight for Utah
The two Jazz starters will miss yet another game tonight when Utah faces the Chicago Bulls. Dante Exum and Shelvin Mack will continue to man the point guard position in Hill’s absence while it looks like Boris Diaw will get the start for Favors at power forward. Trey Lyles should also receive some run off the bench. Mack and Lyles have been the most consistent of that group of four and would be the preferred options if considering them in your DFS lineups.

Jeremy Lamb will not play on Friday
Updating our previous report where it appeared Lamb might return to action, the team has stated that he will miss Friday’s game as he is still experiencing soreness with his injury.
As reported by: Charlotte Hornets official Twitter feed Justise Winslow OUT for Miami tonight; Goran Dragic a game-time decision
Winslow will miss his second straight game while Dragic is closer to returning to play. He’ll go through shootaround and will be a game-time decision. Rodney McGruder started last game for Winslow and put up 21+ fpts in 36 minutes of play. At $3,600 on FanDuel and $3,300 on DraftKings, he’ll be in consideration as a value option. Tyler Johnson and Josh Richardson have been alternating good games in Dragic’s absence and both would once again be viable if Dragic can’t go. They face Milwaukee who while 10th in PG DvP are 20th in total fantasy points allowed.

Barring a setback, Lamb will return from a hamstring injury on Friday when the Hornets play the Hawks. He’s not a viable DFS option currently.

Gasol will be in the starting lineup tonight. He suffered a slight neck injury on Monday but will be able to give it a go tonight. He is averaging 36.26 FDP over his last three games but the fantasy scoring has dipped in every game while his salary has stayed high. He’s too risky for cash games and does not have a ton of upside for tournaments. Still, if he can stay out of foul trouble against Cousins, he should at least make value.

Chandler Parsons (knee) in the starting lineup against the Clippers
Chandler Parsons will be in the starting lineup against the Clippers on Wednesday. He’s a volatile low-end GPP option against the Clippers. He has not played more than 23 minutes this season and the Grizzlies will continue to bring him along slowly. Tony Allen is also out of the lineup so expect James Ennis has a chance at seeing 30 minutes. Ennis is also not a viable tournament option.

Danny Green will play against the Kings tonight. He is a low-end GPP option for the late slate. He does not have considerable upside and also has a terribly low floor. With Green back in the lineup, Kyle Anderson and Jonathon Simmons will also no longer be viable options. Focus on Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge.

Wesley Johnson will miss another game tonight due to a heel injury. The Clippers have been blowing teams so Austin Rivers and Jamal Crawford have been comfortably playing the backup SF spot. Mo Speights has also seen some extended run due to the blowouts. The Clippers face the Grizzlies tonight in what should be a slow paced grind it out type of game. Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, and DeAndre Jordan are the primary targets to use on the Clippers.

Tyson Chandler will return to the starting lineup tonight against the Nuggets. Chandler is a strong tournament option that should not have much ownership for tonight. Alex Len will go back to the bench is not a viable option with a reduced role. Chandler has averaged 30.2 FanDuel fantasy points over his last three starts and is only $4.8k. He should be usable in cash games as well with due to his solid floor.

Sefolosha is a late scratch from tonight’s game against Milwaukee with a sprained left knee. Tim Hardaway Jr., Malcolm Delaney, and Taurean Prince are the prime candidates to receive extra minutes in his absence, though Hardaway and Delaney are the preferred targets of the three. With Dwight Howard already ruled out as well, Mike Muscala will start at center in his place and immediately becomes the top value option on the board at any position. Paul Millsap looks to be the Hawks starter that will benefit the most from Howard’s absence, as there will plenty of extra rebound available against this susceptible Bucks frontcourt. On the other side of the ball, Giannis Antetokounmpo should have an easier time finishing at the rim without Howard clogging up the lane for Atlanta. Antetokounmpo is an elite tournament pivot and allows for a different roster construction than the masses that are paying up for James Harden and/or Russell Westbrook.

Howard will not play in tonight’s game against Milwaukee after being officially ruled out with a left thigh contusion that he sustained in Tuesday’s game. As expected, Mike Muscala will start at center in his place and immediately becomes the top value option on the board at any position. Paul Millsap looks to be the Hawks starter that will benefit the most from Howard’s absence, as there will plenty of extra rebound available against this susceptible Bucks frontcourt. As reported by: Chris Vivalamore Andre Drummond (ankle) will play tonight
Drummond will be active and is expected to play in tonight’s game against New York. According to Pistons coach Scott Van Gundy, the amount of playing time Drummond sees this evening will depend solely on “how he feels”. While that’s not particularly helpful information, there is no need to roster Drummond on an 11-game slate in which he was previously questionable to play. IT is also to be expected that Drummond will be reinserted directly back into the starting lineup upon his return, sending Aron Baynes back to the bench in a resume role.

Nowitzki will not be able to suit up for tonight’s game against the Celtics, as he remains out with a nagging achilles injury that has kept him sidelined since early November. Dorian Finney-Smith will likely remain in the starting lineup at small forward, while Harrison Barnes will continue to man the four in Nowitzki’s absence. Barnes draws a juicy matchup against the vulnerable Celtics’ wing and post defense that is missing Jae Crowder, keeping him in consideration in all formats. J.J. Barea will be the odd man out in the Mavericks starting lineup with Deron Williams making his return this evening. However, Barea still possesses tournament upside, as Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle will likely continue to utilize three-guard lineups rather frequently.

Moore will play in tonight’s game against Orlando and immediately reclaim his spot in the starting lineup, sending Buddy Hield back to the bench in a reserve role. Moore will step right back into his normal allotment of minutes with the starting unit, and he should see more opportunities on the offensive end with Anthony Davis already ruled out this evening. Hield still remains very much in play, as the Pelicans could utilize more three-guard lineups without Davis, and he has been much better off the bench this season as well.

Smith will miss his third consecutive game tonight against Indiana. With Lebron James already ruled out earlier this afternoon, Iman Shumpert and Richard Jefferson will start in their place at shooting guard and small forward respectively. This is a massive upgrade to the fantasy value of both Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving, as they lead the Cavaliers with elite usage rates when Lebron is off the floor. The only drawback for them is that this the second game of a back-to-back set on the road in Indiana. However, Irving and Love are still borderline must-plays in all formats.
