Tony Allen (groin) and James Ennis (toe) questionable for Friday; Mike Conley and Chandler Parsons probable
Chandler Parsons should return and start on Friday night against the Mavs. If Allen and Ennis both miss, it should open up plenty of minutes for the veteran, Vince Carter and even Troy Williams. Carter has been pretty solid while the Grizzlies have been banged up to start this season. He is too risky for cash games but if we get word that both Allen and Ennis will miss then he is worth a look in tournaments at his cheap price tag.

Joel Embiid (rest) confirmed in the starting lineup tonight
Embiid will make his return to the lineup for tonight’s game against the Timberwolve after being resting in last night’s game against Washington. Embiid will replace Jahlil Okafor in the starting lineup and remain on his usual restriction of approximately 24 minutes. Embiid has been appropriately priced on DraftKings for a few games now, but is still too cheap on FanDuel, where he is an elite play and possibly top center option on the board for cash games.

Beverley will play and start in tonight’s game against the Trail Blazers. He is expected to only play 20-25 minutes, but Rockets coach Mike D’Antoni seems to think it may be less. D’Antoni said he will see “how things go” when asked about Beverley’s minute restriction. Beverley can easily be ignored on all sites and formats. His return will push Eric Gordon to the bench in a reserve role, though Gordon will likely take over as the primary offensive option in the second unit and still see his normal allotment of minutes.

Beal will play and start in tonight’s game against New York after being listed as questionable for tonight’s game against New York with hamstring tightness that has kept him out the previous three games. This basically eliminates Sheldon McClellan, Marcus Thornton, and Tomas Satoransky from consideration in all formats due to their inflated price tags. Satoransky has been inconsistent and a horrendous fantasy point per minute producer thus far, so he is better reserved as a value guard option in tournaments rather than cash games, though he should be avoided if possible.

Barton has been listed as doubtful for tomorrow night’s game against Toronto with a sprained ankle that has kept him sidelined for an extended period of time. With Gary Harris out with a foot injury for the foreseeable future, Jameer Nelson will like draw the start in their absence if Barton is unable to suit up Friday. Jamal Murray will continue to come off the bench for Denver but has been entirely too inconsistent to be trusted as anything other than a long-shot tournament flier. Darrell Arthur and Wilson Chandler are also list as probable on the Nuggets injury report and are fully expected to be able to play.

Dragic will go through pregame warmups with the intent to play in tonight’s game against Milwaukee. Nothing has been officially confirmed as of yet, but it looks like Dragic will be able to give it a go this evening. There has been no report of a minutes restriction for Dragic after he missed the previous three games with a sprained ankle. With his return, Josh Richardson, Tyler Johnson, and Dion Waiters lose any cash game viability they had earlier in the day. This is shaping up to be a situation to avoid, though Justise Winslow has already been ruled out, so James Johnson, Richardson, and Waiters could see additional run at small forward if looking to take a shot in tournaments.

Beal has been listed as questionable for tonight’s game against New York with hamstring tightness that has kept him out the previous three games. Sheldon McClellan had received the start at shooting guard the previous two, but was replaced in the second half of Wednesday’s contest by Marcus Thornton. According to reports, Tomas Satoransky will be inserted into the starting lineup this evening, if Beal is ultimately unable to go. Satoransky has been inconsistent and a horrendous fantasy point per minute producer thus far, even in the starting unit, so he is better reserved as a value guard option in tournaments rather than cash games.

Nene will not play in tonight’s game against Portland, as he is being rested on the second leg of Houston’s back-to-back set. This is the second time Nene has been rested in a back-to-back situation, so we should expect this trend to continue going forward. Clint Capela has been receiving more consistent minutes recently and his floor becomes significantly higher without Nene in the rotation. He may even be borderline cash game viable tonight, though Montrezl Harrell has a much higher ceiling with his expected minutes increase and price point around the industry. Harrell is clearly our preferred tournament target over Capela and is viable as a cash game punt on a night with little to no value.

Dwight Howard did not play in the Hawks previous game due to a quad injury. Mike Muscala stepped up in his place in a big way on DraftKings. His salary was already slightly bumped on FanDuel, so he did not exceed greatly. If Howard misses again on Friday, Muscala would become a viable cash game C. His tournament viability is not as strong as we saw more than 35% of the field use him last night. Thabo Sefolosha was a late scratch on Wednesday and Tim Hardaway Jr. was able to exceed value due to his absence. Look for another update regarding the Hawks tomorrow.

Jeremy Lin will not play against the Thunder on Friday. Lin has not played since 11/2 and should be close to returning. In his absence, the Nets have used Sean Kilpatrick, Randy Foye, and Yogi Ferrell at PG. All three players are risky cash game options for Friday with Foye and Ferrell currently outplaying Kilpatrick. Also, Kilpatrick has seen his minutes steadily decline over the last two games since Yogi Ferrell has been seeing more minutes. Kilpatrick is not a true PG and will likely see a reduced role unless another player gets injured.

Anthony Davis did not play last night due to an injured quad and is listed as questionable for Friday’s tilt against the Blazers. If he misses the game, Terrence Jones would be a viable cash game play. Jones scored 40.80 FDFP in 37 minutes last night and is expected to see his salary spike. Alexis Ajinca played a season-high 25 minutes and was able to slightly exceed value. Ajinca is expected to play and could also see 18-20 minutes, making him a viable punt option as long as his salary does not jump.

Nick Young was not at practice today but is expected to play against the Spurs on Friday. Young has struggled over his last two games and is no longer cash game viable. Expect him to start tomorrow but look for another update regarding his status.

Stuckey has not played since 10/28 due to a hamstring injury and C.J. Miles has stepped up in his place off the bench. Stuckey is questionable for tomorrow’s contests against the Suns. If Stuckey does return, Miles would become a low-end tournament option since he will likely not get the same amount of usage. Stuckey is a ball-dominant guard that does not pass the ball much when he is on the court. While Stuckey looks likely to play, we’re still looking for official confirmation from the team before suggesting he be in your lineups.

Acy was waived by the Mavs since they lost J.J. Barea and Deron Williams to calf injuries last night. Acy was not playing much and not even making an impact when he did see minutes. Jonathan Gibson is a guard that will be used to back up Seth Curry. Since the Mavs lost two PGs, we can expect Seth to start on Friday. He’ll get a tough matchup against the Grizzlies and might not have the same tournament viability as he did when he played extended minutes against the Lakers.

Rondo missed the teams last game with a sprained ankle and looks to be in doubt to play tonight. Jerian Grant will get the start again and after putting up 30+ fpts in 30 minutes last game out is certainly in play as a value option on this small five game slate.
