Andre Drummond doubtful to play for Pistons tonight
Out of nowhere the Pistons have listed their starting center as doubtful to play with a sprained ankle tonight. Aron Baynes will get the biggest boost as the likely starting center while Boban Marjanovic should see a bigger role off the bench. While Boban’s usage is elite, he’ll be hard pressed to top 15 minutes of playing time and as such is not a viable DFS option. Baynes should see 20+, maybe even 25ish minutes, and is a viable value option. Jon Leuer also receives a slight bump in value.

Isaiah Thomas expects to play tonight for Celtics
Thomas sprained his left middle finger this weekend and was considered questionable leading into their game against the Pelicans tonight. He expects to play but will have it wrapped. He’s a risky play considering the wrap is on his shooting hand but the match up is a good one and the upside is certainly there. Marcus Smart loses a bit of value but is still in play.

Horford stated that he is feeling better but is not certain that he will be able to play tonight for Boston when they take on New Orleans. He’ll go through shootaround and will be a game-time decision. If he can’t go, Kelly Olynyk would be in line for extended playing time and would be a viable value option. Amir Johnson and Jonas Jerebko would also see some extended minutes off the bench.

The future Hall-of-Famer went through shootaround this morning and is in line to play his first game in awhile. He’s a game-time decision according to Head Coach Rick Carlisle but would be hard to trust in DFS given the injury and potential minutes limitations he might face. If he is unable to go, Dwight Powell will continue to remain a value option in his place.

George suffered an ankle injury this past weekend and is questionable to play tonight for the Pacers. He was limited in the team shootaround this morning but Head Coach Nate McMillan did state that the swelling had gone down. George stated he felt better and would like to play tonight for former coach Frank Vogel’s return. If he can’t go, C.J. Miles would benefit the most with Glenn Robinson likely seeing extended playing time off the bench.

A trio of Jazz players are all listed by the team as questionable tonight, two of them starters in Favors and Hill with Diaw a key piece of the rotation. Hill has missed the last four games and is more doubtful than questionable which will lead to more Shelvin Mack and Dante Exum – neither of which are particularly viable DFS options. Favors has been battling a knee injury all season and is truly a game-time decision. If he can’t go, Trey Lyles would benefit the most (along with Diaw if he is able to play) and would be a viable DFS option on this 8 game slate. We’ll update you later today on the status of all three of these players.

Gary Harris and Darrell Arthur have already been ruled out for tonight, so there are extra minutes to be had in both the Nuggets’ frontcourt and backcourt rotations. Jamal Murray was projected to start at shooting guard in place of Harris, but Jameer Nelson will draw the start instead and remains the value guard we want in the Nuggets’ backcourt rotation as of now. Murray can easily be avoided in all formats with this news, as he was a fringe punt option when he was projected to be the starting shooting guard.

Wilson Chandler (hamstring) will play tonight, Gary Harris (ankle) officially ruled out
Chandler will play tonight against Portland after being listed as questionable earlier in the day with a nagging hamstring injury. Gary Harris and Darrell Arthur have already been ruled, so there are extra minutes to be had in both the Nuggets’ frontcourt and backcourt rotations. Chandler should see his normal allotment of minutes and expect Juan Hernangomez to continue receiving extended run in Arthur’s absence. Kenneth Faried started the previous game at power forward, but all of these Denver big men need to be avoided in cash games until we have a better read on Mike Malone’s rotations (not holding my breath there). Jamal Murray will likely start at shooting guard in place of Harris and could be a viable punt option, but Jameer Nelson remains the value guard we want in the Nuggets’ backcourt rotation as of now.

Conley and Parsons are listed as questionable for tomorrow night’s game against Utah. They both were listed on the Grizzlies’ injury report prior to Saturday’s game, but went on to play 30 and 23 minutes respectively. It’s important to keep in mind that Memphis has been extremely deliberate with their injury designations thus far this season, and it would be surprising if Conley and Parsons both didn’t suit up for this matchup against the Jazz. However, given the projected snail’s pace of this game and probable low total, we should be able to safely avoid this situation and game altogether on Monday’s main slate.

Chandler has now been officially ruled out for tonight’s game against Golden State after there were conflicting reports regarding his availability. Len will start at center for the third consecutive game in Chandler’s absence. Len has been drastically inconsistent in his spot starts, relegating him to a tournament only option in an uptempo game with the Warriors typically stingy defense. He is extra volatile in this spot, as the Warriors typically prefer to go small for extended stretches of the game.

LaVine was surprisingly scratched from the Timberwolves lineup for tonight’s game against the Lakers after suffering from the lingering effects of a knee injury he sustained in Saturday’s contest. Shabazz Muhammad and Brandon Rush will also be sidelined, meaning that Minnesota’s bench will be extremely depleted. Bjelica will draw the start at small forward, pushing Andrew Wiggins over to shooting guard. Bjelica has struggled in extended stretches this season, but remains as an elite value option in tournaments with the amount of minutes he should see this evening.

LaVine is another surprise scratch from the Timberwolves lineup for tonight’s game against the Lakers after suffering from the lingering effects of a knee injury he sustained in Saturday’s contest. Shabazz Muhammad and Brandon Rush will also be sidelined, meaning that Minnesota’s bench will be extremely depleted. It’s still unclear who will replace LaVine in the starting unit as of this writing, but Nemanja Bjelica is the top candidate. Even if he draws the start, the Timberwolves will likely utilize a lot of two-guard lineups to compensate for their lack of depth on the wing. Bjelica is an elite value option on this slate and Kris Dunn should also see a significant boost in minutes and fantasy value this evening.

Muhammad is a late scratch for tonight’s game against the Lakers with a sore right knee. Muhammad didn’t appear on the Timberwolves injury report, but the ailment seems to be serious enough to keep him out of Sunday’s contest. Rush is listed as questionable and has missed the previous three games with a bruised toe. If he were also to be ruled out as well, the Timberwolves would be extremely thin at the wing positions, meaning Andrew Wiggins would likely be in line for an larger workload than his normal 34 minutes per game. Nemanja Bjelica and Kris Dunn could also see increased usage with the second unit without Muhammad.

Ingram will play tonight against Minnesota after being listed as questionable earlier in the day with a sprained left ankle. Ingram briefly exited Saturday’s contest with the ankle injury before eventually returning to the bench after getting his ankle taped, but never actually returned to game action with the Lakers having a substantial lead. According to Lakers coach Luke Walton, Ingram could have played through the injury if necessary and will see his usual allotment of minutes this evening.
