Goran Dragic (ankle) ruled out for Monday
Dragic will remain out for tomorrow’s game against San Antonio with a sprained left ankle. Josh Richardson unexpectedly drew the start at point guard Saturday in Dragic’s absence. The matchup is less than ideal against the Spurs, but they have typically been susceptible against point guards with Tony Parker on the defensive end. Richardson and Hassan Whiteside could be interesting contrarian tournament options, as the Spurs have been getting gashed by opposing centers with newly acquired Pau Gasol patrolling the paint this season.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (back) confirmed in the starting lineup
Kidd-Gilchrist has been confirmed as the starter at small forward for today’s game against Cleveland after missing the Hornets’ previous game with a back issue. This really only affects the Charlotte backcourt reserves, since they will now resume their normal roles and minute allotment. It may also be a tick down to the fantasy projection of Lebron James, as Kidd-Gilchrist is known as an above average defender. However, Lebron is basically as matchup-proof as a player can be.

Smith will not play in today’s game against the Hornets after injuring his ankle in Friday’s contest versus Washington. Dunleavy will start in his place, and is a viable punt on the all-day slate with a similar projection to Smith in the starting lineup though Iman Shumpert may be the better punt option, as he should get more run with the starting unit as well. Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love will likely be the primary beneficiaries of some increased usage with extra shots available in Smith’s absence.

Ingram is questionable for tonight’s game against Minnesota after briefly exiting Saturday’s contest with an ankle injury. He ultimately returned to the bench after getting his ankle taped, but never returned to game action with the Lakers having a substantial lead. Ingram seems extremely more likely to play than not, but this is certainly a situation that we will keep our eye on for any additional news regarding Ingram’s status.

Harris has been listed as doubtful for tonight’s game against the Trail Blazers after briefly leaving Saturday’s contest with an ankle injury. If Harris were to be ruled out, Jamal Murray would likely start at shooting guard, though Jameer Nelson would be our preferred punt play with Will Barton still sidelined as well. Wilson Chandler is listed as questionable for the second consecutive game with hamstring tightness that he was ultimately able to play through Saturday. With Darrell Arthur already ruled out, Kenneth Faried and Juan Hernangomez will become extremely interesting value options for a depleted Denver frontcourt if Chandler is unable to go tonight. They have the benefit of a juicy matchup with Portland’s inept frontcourt defense, but it is nearly impossible to predict what Mike Malone will do with his rotation on a game-to-game basis, so they still carry plenty of risk.

Faried has been inserted into the Nuggets starting lineup for tonight’s game against Detroit, a move that relegates Jokic to the bench. It may come as a surprise, but this is actually a boost to the fantasy value of Jokic, as he and Nurkic have been horrendous when on the floor together. This can be attributed simply to the fact that Jokic is not a power forward in this offense and has looked bad pretending to be one. It will be interesting to see if Jokic and Nurkic both thrive in their respective units now that each will be spending a majority of their minutes at their natural center positions.

Parsons had been listed as questionable for tonight’s game against Milwaukee after suffering a minor setback with the knee issue that has kept him sidelined for most of the young season, but he will in fact suit up for this contest. However, It is all but a certainty that he will remain on a strict minutes limit and can easily be avoided in all formats. Tony Allen has already been ruled out, so James Ennis is firmly in cash game consideration despite a sub par performance his last time out. Vince Carter also turned the clock back 10 or so years in the Grizzlies previous game, posting a stat line of 20 points, 5 assists, 3 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Carter was able to put up those numbers in 31 minutes of game action even with Parsons active.

Chandler will play in tonight’s game against Detroit after fully participating in shoot around without suffering any setbacks with the hamstring tightness that caused him to miss the Nuggets’ previous two games. It does remain uncertain, however, if Chandler will be susceptible to any sort of minutes restriction. Though, Nuggets coach Mike Malone believes he should be able handle a normal workload in his return, but stressed that he doesn’t want to “overdue it”. Chandler is an easy fade in a less than ideal matchup with the Pistons this evening.

Richardson will draw the start at point guard tonight against the Jazz in place of injured point guard, Goran Dragic. The Heat have repeatedly talked about giving him more play-making opportunities, so Richardson gets his first crack at it tonight. Tyler Johnson will come off the bench in his normal backup point guard role, so he is still a viable option, though he has lost some of the cash game appeal he had earlier in the day when he was expected to start.

Henson will start over Miles Plumlee in tonight’s game against Memphis. Plumlee has struggled for the Bucks in the early going, so the move isn’t necessarily all that surprising. Bucks coach Jason Kidd has some of the most fickle rotations in the NBA, so Henson carries plenty of risk this evening and should be avoided. The preferred strategy would be to take a wait-and-see approach with the Milwaukee big men before deploying them in any format. Though, the starting lineup could be shaken up again as early as the next game, so stay tuned.

DeMarre Carroll will dress but is not expected to play tonight. He’s really been struggling and Norman Powell will replace him in the lineup. Powell is a viable sleeper option against the Knicks tonight but will likely have to deal with Carmelo Anthony if DeMar DeRozan is not. Powell played well last season in extended minutes and during the playoffs and should be able to exceed value on his punt level salary.

Powell will get the start in place of Carroll tonight against the Knicks. He should see extended run in this game with Carroll reportedly resting on the back end of a back-to-back set. Powell is certainly worth a tournament flier, as he as shown the ability in the past to produce when given the opportunity.

Bradley Beal will miss his second consecutive game due to a bad hamstring. Sheldon McClellan will start in his place. McClellan is an undrafted rookie that will be making his first career start. Don’t expect much from him and we can hope to see Bradley Beal back in the lineup soon. McClellan played 12 minutes last night and failed to make an impact. He could see extended run tonight but is not a viable option for high $ tournaments.

Diaw had been listed as questionable earlier for tonight’s game against Miami, but has now been officially ruled out with a leg contusion that has kept him out of game action for the entire month of November. Look for Derrick Favors to continue to take advantage of the extra usage minutes vacated by the absence of Diaw and George Hill in a great matchup against Heat starting power forward, Luke Babbitt.
As reported by: Tony Jones Paul George (ankle) officially ruled out for tonight
George will not play in tonight’s game against Boston with a sprained left ankle. George did exit Friday’s game briefly with a sprained thumb, but was ultimately able to return and finish the game. It’s not known when or how this ankle issue came about, but the injury is serious enough to keep George out of Saturday’s contest. With George unable to go, Monta Ellis will reenter the starting lineup, moving C.J. Miles over to the small forward position. This offense runs through PG13, so without him on the floor, there is a significant amount of extra usage that would need to be diversified among the starting unit. Look for Ellis, Jeff Teague, and Myles Turner to be the primary beneficiaries.
