John Wall (knee) officially ruled out on Wednesday
John Wall will miss his first game of the season against the Nets. Ramon Sessions is expected to start in his place with the Wizards lacking depth at the PG spot. Bradley Beal is expected to see most of the usage. We don’t have a huge sample size (14 minutes) but by turning on Sessions, Beal, Porter, Morris, and Gortat in CourtIQ, we see that Beal’s usage is 33% compared to 24% with Wall on the court.

Iman Shumpert to start for LeBron James
Shumpert will replace James in the starting lineup on Wednesday. As we mentioned earlier when James was ruled out, Shumpert carries risk even with his low salary. With eight games on the slate, there are other punt options with higher potential upside.

Lin was questionable for today due to an elbow injury but will play against the Knicks. Lin is expected to stay in the starting lineup against his former team. Lin had a monster 39 DKFP in 40 minutes last night against the Raptors. Lin is a solid play but does carry some risk on the second night of a back-to-back. Nicolas Batum will miss his second consecutive game, making Courtney Lee a low-end option once again. Lee scored 20 fpts last night in 36 minutes, so the minutes are there but the production shows us a lack of upside.

Anthony rested on Sunday against the Pacers but will be starting against the Hornets on Wednesday. With Nicolas Batum out of the lineup, Carmelo Anthony should be able to exceed value with his asking price having dropped. Anthony has not been $7,700 on DK since December, leaving us with some nice tournament upside. The Knicks will round out the starting five with Jerian Grant, Sasha Vujacic, Derrick Williams, and Robin Lopez

Bojan Bogdanovic will return from his two-game absence and replace Henry Sims in the starting lineup. Bogdanovic could make for a nice sleeper option against a Wizards, a team that ranks 26th in DvP vs. PFs over the last three weeks. Bogdanovic relies heavily on scoring for his fantasy output so if his shot is not on he will bust. With the two games off, he should be rested enough to have his legs under him. Thomas Robinson will start at center against Marcin Gortat and is no longer a must-start in cash games. The Wizards rank 5th in DvP vs. Cs over the last three weeks and 15th in DRE for the season. With Robinson’s asking price spiking to $4,700 on DK, he does not have as much upside available as he did last week.

Porzingis will miss his fourth consecutive game due to a shoulder injury. There is no timetable for his return and Derrick Williams will start in his place. Williams is averaging 23.1 DKFP in his last three starts but has seen his asking price spike to $4,300. Williams is not a plug-and-play like he was when his salary was sub-$4k but he still is a viable option. Expect Williams to see 27-30 minutes against the Hornets on Wednesday.

John Wall is questionable for Wednesday’s game against the lowly Brooklyn Nets. The Wizards are fighting for the last spot in the playoffs but may not need their superstar on this night. With it being one of the first games of the day, we should have an update on Wall before lineups lock. Wall has not missed a game this season but if he does, Ramon Sessions will likely start in his place. Sessions had 27.3 DKFP against the Clippers on Sunday and could look to build off that momentum. If Wall is ruled out, Sessions has a minimum level salary across the industry that gives us huge potential upside. Confirm that Wall is out before locking Sessions into your lineups.

LeBron James will be resting against the Pacers on Wednesday. Iman Shumpert started the last game that James missed and had 24.3 DraftKings fantasy points in 34 minutes. Shumpert is a low-end option that faces a tough Indiana defense. The Pacers rank 4th in DvP vs. SFs over the last three weeks and 8th in DRE for the season. This does not bode well for Shumpert’s ceiling on Wednesday. Using a starting five of Irving, Smith, Shumpert, Love, and Mozgov in CourtIQ, we see that Love’s usage is 39% compared to 24% when LeBron is on instead of Shumpert. Love should be considered an high-upside play against the Pacers. Kyrie Irving should also be a considerd a strong option and could have his ownership percentage remain low coming off a dud last night.

Lawson has been ruled out of Wednesday’s contest with the Cavs due to an illness. Rodney Stuckey figures to pick up some more minutes off the bench. Stuckey has picked up his play recently after dealing with foot and ankle issues for most of the season. Stuckey has exceeded value in back-to-back games and should see a bump in minutes with Lawson out. With Stuckey’s asking price at a minimum across the industry, he has some nice potential upside in a game that the Pacers are favored.

Kaman suffered an ankle injury in last night’s victory over the Kings. Kaman is not relevant for DFS purposes since he rarely see over 10 minutes a game. Expect Kaman to be available tonight against the Thunder. Even if he does play, there is too much risk in rostering Kaman.

Bulls Head Coach Fred Hoiberg stated that Taj Gibson and E’Twaun Moore are both unlikely to play tomorrow. Bobby Portis will likely start in Gibson’s place but Nikola Mirotic is the player to target in his absence as he’s been much more productive and getting substantial run off of the bench. We’ll update the official status of these two tomorrow before tip-off.

Bojan Bogdanovich will play and start tonight for Nets
Bogdanovich has missed the last two games due to rest but will return and start for the Nets tonight when they play the Washington Wizards. Wayne Ellington will return to the bench and DFS irrelevance with this move while Bogdanovich himself is an interesting mid-range play after having seen his price drop to $4.5k on the two major sites. The Wizards struggle defending wing players like Bogdanovich so there is some upside there.

Lawson did not participate in the Pacers team shoot around this morning and is questionable for tonight after being sent to a doctor for an upper respiratory infection. Lawson typically averages 15-20 minutes a game so is hard to roster for DFS purposes. His absence will mean extended run likely for George Hill with additional minutes for Rodney Stuckey and/or C.J. Miles off the bench. Regardless of who is playing it’s not the best match up as the Cavaliers are a stingy defensive team (although they are most susceptible at the PG position). We’ll update you on Lawson’s status later when more information comes in.

Batum missed the teams game last night and Jeremy Lin stepped in and put up a monster 35.3 FanDuel fpt outing in 40 minutes in his place. If Batum sits again, lock in Lin as one of the top plays of the night going against the woeful Knicks. We’ll update you on Batum’s status later tonight when more news becomes available.

Blake Griffin will be starting against the Lakers on Tuesday. He will likely not play more than 28 minutes and is a high-risk high-reward tournament play for the late slate. Griffin could rest tomorrow with the Clippers playing the Lakers once again. Griffin struggled in his first game back from injury so there is still considerable risk with rostering him.
