Alec Burks upgraded to questionable for Friday
Burks has been upgraded to questionable for Friday’s game with the Clippers. His presence will be welcomed due to the Jazz weakness at the back-up wing spots – it’s been mainly Joe Ingles and Chris Johnson backing up Gordon Hayward and Rodney Hood. With Trey Burke out of the rotation, the Jazz don’t really have a scoring threat at either guard spot off the bench. Considering we’re less than a week away from the end of the regular season, don’t expect Burks to see enough minutes to make him DFS viable.

Kent Bazemore probable to play tonight
Bazemore played on the 5th so this is just confirmation that he will again take the court. The Hawks take on the Raptors tonight and Bazemore is a decent mid-ranged option on a somewhat small slate. However, the Raptors are a tough match up coming in 7th in SF DvP so while he makes for a safe play but his upside is likely limited.

Thunder will start Foye, Waiters, Morrow, Kanter, and Adams on Wednesday
The Thunder are resting their studs tonight so they will have an entirely new group playing together tonight. Enes Kanter deserves the most consideration and will be expected to carry the Thunder against a Blazers team that struggles to defend bigs. Dion Waiters will also get up a ton of shots with the Thunder lacking any star power tonight. Kanter has the potential to have the highest floor, making him viable in both cash games and tournaments.

Chris Paul, J.J. Redick, Blake Griffin, and DeAndre Jordan starting on Wednesday; Paul Pierce (ankle) is available
The Clippers will go with their normal starters against the Lakers on Wednesday. All players are a risk due to the blowout potential but will have low ownership for that same reason. Paul had 47.8 fpts last night in 23 minutes, so he deserves consideration once again. Blake Griffin will likely try to use this game to get back into form before the Clippers the Jazz on Friday.

Rivers, Johnson, and Crawford will all be resting against the Lakers on the second night of a back-to-back. Expect C.J. Wilcox and Pablo Prigioni to be used as the guards off the bench. Both players are risky tournament plays. Wilcox likely has the higher upside but would only play extended minutes if the Clippers are beating the Lakers by a large margin.

McDaniels will be making his first start of the season for the Rockets against the Mavs. McDaniel has seen his minutes trending upwards and should see over 20 minutes tonight. McDaniels should be able to exceed value on his sub-$4k salary but is a low-end option with James Harden taking all the usage. If McDaniels is able to pick up some peripherals, he should be able to return 5x or better on Wednesday.

Clarkson is expected to start against the Clippers on Wednesday. He is expected to be limited making him a risky DFS option. If Clarkson misses the game expect Bryant and D’Angelo Russell to pick up most of the usage.

Kobe Bryant will be making his final appearance against the Clippers on Wednesday. Bryant is expected to play about 28 minutes if the Lakers can keep the score close. Bryant is strictly a tournament option and will have a low ownership percentage after not playing well last night. Bryant salary is still considered a punt, leaving us with some tournament upside.

Belinelli has not played for the past six games and is doubtful for Thursday. The Kings have no reason to bring him back with James Anderson playing well. Omri Casspi will miss another game and is likely done for the season. Look for an update on Belinelli’s status tomorrow

Blake Griffin is being listed as the probable starter in the Clippers game notes. There were some mentions yesterday by Doc Rivers that the starters would be rested on the second night of a back-to-back. There is still a possibility of that happens with the game starting in about two hours. We’ll post an update once we get official news on the Clippers.

Alec Burks has not played since the 26th of December but looks likely to return on Friday. He was hopeful to play on Tuesday but scratched late. Burks is not a viable DFS play coming off an extended layoff. Expect Burks to play 10-12 minutes as Rodney Hood’s backup against the Clippers.

Frank Kaminsky will replace Jeremy Lin in the starting lineup against the Knicks. Kaminsky’s minutes have been on an upward trend over the last two games, making him a nice minimum priced upside play if you already had him in your lineups on FD. With the starters being announced one minute before lineups locked, only DK users really got to benefit from this news.

Sessions will draw the start for the injured John Wall on Wednesday. He’s still priced near the minimum on most sites and is now playable in any format along with Bradley Beal, who should eat up a nice chunk of Wall’s leftover shot attempts. Both players are elite options in any format against a Brooklyn backcourt that struggles to contain opposing guards.

The Pelicans will look to return Tim Frazier and Luke Babbitt to the bench against the Celtics. Considering that this is the 40th different starting lineup for the Pelicans, there is little chemistry here. James Ennis will be making his first start for the Pelicans after joining them in the last week of March. Ennis should see around 30 minutes on Wednesday but does not have a ton of upside against a tough Celtics team. Since Boston is favored by 14.5 points, this game does not have much appeal.
