Gerald Green starting for Dwyane Wade tonight
Green will be replacing Wade in the starting lineup tonight. Wade is not expected to play on Saturday either. Gerald Green has scored over 25 fpts in a handful of starts this season. Green relies heavily on scoring for his fantasy value. In a matchup with the Kings, Green should be able to score early and often. We have been targeting shooting guards against Sacramento all season, making Green a nice tournament option with upside. This is a move that no one saw coming, making Green a sleeper pick for tonight’s slate.

Evan Turner to start for Jae Crowder on Friday
Turner will be starting for Jae Crowder on the second night of a back-to-back. Turner has been playing well in his starts, averaging 30+ fpts in his last six. Turner is a viable tournament option against the Warriors on Friday. Jae Crowder will return to the lineup on Sunday.

Ronnie Price will start for the injured Brandon Knight on Friday. Knight is dealing with a sports hernia and is expected to miss the game. Price’s asking price is near the minimum across the industry, making him a viable option in both tournaments and cash games. Price is mainly in for defensive purposes but has scored over 30 fpts in multiple starts this season. Archie Goodwin will be the backup PG but he is not a viable option.

Belinelli has been ruled out due to a foot issue. Seth Curry will make his fifth consecutive start. Curry finally came down to earth against the Wizards on Wednesday, scoring 5.5 fpts. Curry can’t be used for cash games but is a viable tournament option on a full slate. Curry will need to see over 24 minutes to really exceed value.

Wade will be sitting out against the Kings on Friday. Josh Richardson could start in his place but has not been confirmed at this time. Richardson had 33.8 fpts earlier this week when he started for Goran Dragic. Richardson’s salary is actually down $300 from his last outing, making him a nice play with upside. Richardson had four games of over 33 fantasy points in March.

Lyles will start for the injured Favors on Friday against the Timberwolves. Lyles has been playing well relative to his cheap salary, averaging 20 fpts in his last six games. With Favors out of the lineup, Lyles should be able to exceed value. Lyles was a $5k player earlier this season when he started for Favors, making him a nice play that has some upside available.

Cauley-Stein will start in place of the suspended DeMarcus Cousins. WCS is a viable punt option against the Heat but could get into foul trouble. Cousins will also rest on Saturday and is only expected to play in the Kings remaining home games.

Favors has been ruled out of tonight’s contest with the Timberwolves. Gordan Hayward and Rodney Hood should see a nice bump in value with Favors out of the lineup. Trey Lyles is expected to start in his place but has not been confirmed yet. Look for an update soon regarding Favors’ replacment.

Felton will miss tonight’s game against the Pistons due to a groin injury. With the game being held in Detroit, we should have an official replacement soon. Expect J.J. Barea to get the start with Deron Williams also out of action. Barea has really turned up his play, hitting 40+ fpts in back-to-back games. Barea is a viable option in both cash and GPPs and will likely see over 30 minutes again tonight. Devin Harris also sees a bump in value with Felton out of the lineup. Harris’ asking price is still basically at the minimum, leaving some upside for tournaments. Harris still carries risk, as he put up a dud in 25 minutes in his last game. Harris has not always performed well when given the minutes.

Vucevic will come off the bench for the second consecutive game. The Magic will keep the same starters with Payton, Oladipo, Fournier, Gordon, and Dedmon. Vucevic played 25 minutes last night and had 33.7 fpts. With his asking price still at $8k on FanDuel, it’ll be tough to play him on a full slate. Vucevic has dipped to $6,500 on DraftKings, making him a viable tournament option due to the upside. Vucevic’s ownership should be expected to be low coming off the bench.

Scola will be rested for the second consecutive game, with the Raptors playing again tomorrow against the Spurs. Jason Thompson will likely start in his place but has not been officially confirmed. Thompson only played 15 minutes when he started on Wednesday, making him a risky option for this game. Patrick Patterson played 32 minutes and is a better option if you had to pick one. Both players don’t really have much upside with Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan in the lineup.

The Nets are taking turns resting their veterans and continue to give their young guys minutes. It is Bojan Bogdanovic and Thaddeus Young’s turn to rest, which means Thomas Robinson will draw another start for Brooklyn. Looking at our RotoGrinders CourtIQ tool, we can see that Robinson averages 1.02 fantasy points per minute without Bogdanovic and Young on the court. At his $3,600 price tag on DK, he should easily be able to hit 7x or 8x value as he should play at least 20 minutes. He gets a good match up with the Knicks without Kristaps Porzingis and should be a staple in cash games.

Robert Covington returns to the bench with Jerami Grant starting
Covington has been surprisingly consistent of late, scoring at least 30 FPs in each of his last four games, but he’ll move to the bench against Charlotte while Jerami Grant will draw the start. It makes Covington a secondary GPP option at best, but he’s probably worth avoiding altogether given that his price tag has begun to rise across the industry. He still could very well push for 30 minutes but there aren’t any terribly exciting DFS options on the Philly side of the ball tonight. It’s best to look elsewhere on a full slate.

Jerryd Bayless will miss Friday’s game against the Magic due to a hyperextended knee. Rashad Vaughn is set to start in his place, although he’ll fall victim to a very low usage rate while he’s on the floor with the starting unit. Vaughn isn’t a recommended DFS option, but if he’s able to clear 25-28 minutes it’s conceivable that he could hit value in cash games, but the tournament upside just isn’t there. Giannis Antetokounmpo will continue to run the show with Jabari Parker and Khris Middleton playing second fiddle.

Grant will return to the starting lineup on Friday after missing one game. Grant will likely see around 30 minutes against the Wizards. Grant has seen extended minutes even when the Sixers get blown out, making him a viable tournament target. Grant should be avoided for cash games and relies on defensive stats to really boost his fantasy value. In his last six starts, Grant has only exceeded value when he has three or more blocks.
