Goran Dragic (illness) questionable for Wednesday
Goran Dragic missed Monday’s game due to an illness and Josh Richardson started in his place. Richardson was in early foul trouble but ended the night with 33.8 DKFP for 8x on his salary. If Dragic misses on Wednesday against the Lakers, Richardson should be considered an elite option. Look for an update tomorrow regarding Dragic’s status.

Thomas Robinson to start for Thaddeus Young on Tuesday
Thomas Robinson will be making his second start of the season. He had a career-high 18 points and 17 rebounds in his last start. Robinson is a minimum salaried play across the industry, leaving him with a ton of upside and not too much downside. Robinson should see 24+ minutes against the Magic, if he can stay out of foul trouble.

E’Twaun Moore will look to return to the lineup after missing six games with a hamstring issue. He says that the hamstring isn’t right still, making him an option that is better off avoided on Tuesday. Moore will likely just play a few minutes to give Jimmy Butler a break. Butler is not expected to exceed 35 minutes against the Pacers.

Shumpert will start for the resting LeBron James tonight. Shumpert will likely be tasked with shadowing James Harden, but he’s still a viable punt play in tournaments as he’ll likely clear 28-30 minutes of court time. Richard Jefferson should also see increased run off the bench, although he’s isn’t a DFS option as a reserve. Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love are both elite plays, while Shumpert and J.R. Smith are nice value options in tournaments.

Dion Waiters and Kyle Singler replacing Kevin Durant and Serge Ibaka
Dion Waiters and Kyle Singler will be starting against the Pistons on Tuesday. This will be Waiters 13th start of the season, he is averaging 17.28 fpts in the twelve starts. Waiters is still a viable tournament target as he has hit 30 DKFP in three out of his last four games. Kyle Singler will be making his second start of the season and is a low-end DFS play. Singler has not scored over 19 fantasy points this season. Russell Westbrook is the biggest beneficiary with Durant and Ibaka out of the line, he is an elite option in all formats.

With Lin out, look for Jorge Gutierrez to see some run off the bench behind Kemba Walker, although Gutierrez is not DFS viable. Walker has a very high ceiling tonight, but he comes with some risk attached given the likelihood that this game gets ugly early in the fourth quarter. It’s very possible that Walker only needs three quarters of court time to exceed value, but the blowout potential makes him a tougher sell in cash games. He and Nicolas Batum are both nice tournament plays.

Kevin Durant and Serge Ibaka will not play on the second night of a back-to-back. Their replacements have not been named at this time but we should have an update soon. The Thunder play again on Thursday against the Clippers, expect to have Durant and Ibaka back for that game.

Lin is considered doubtful to play tonight against the Sixers. This is a good spot for the Hornets to ease up on Lin, who has been dealing with a sore back recently despite not missing any time. Steve Clifford has said that Jorge Gutierrez will play if Lin sits, but Gutierrez shouldn’t see more than 10-15 minutes of court time unless this game gets out of hand really quickly. Kemba Walker has a very high ceiling in this spot, as does Nicolas Batum, but both also hold risk given the spread. It’s a little surprising that the Hornets aren’t bigger favorites (-11) given that Nerlens Noel, Jerami Grant and Richaun Holmes will all sit out.

Leonard should be good to go tomorrow against the Pelicans after missing the past three games. He’s a viable upside GPP target, but the Pelicans roster is in shambles right now and it’s hard to envision them keeping the game within striking distance long after halftime. The Spurs in general will be a very risky team to target tomorrow as they’ll likely be massive favorites at home, where they are 37-0 this season.

Thaddeus Young and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson will not be playing on the second night of a back-to-back. The Nets play five games this week so it makes sense that they would rest before their next set of back-to-back games. The Nets play again on Thursday against the Cavs and Friday against the Knicks. It’s possible that Young and Hollis-Jefferson could sit out one of those games as well. Thomas Robinson is in line to soak up most of Young’s minutes but has not been announced the starter at this time. We should have an update soon on who will be starting in Young’s place.

Robert Covington will start against the Hornets on Tuesday. Covington is coming in hot, putting up 33+ fpts in three straight games. Covington salary has spiked but he still remains in play due to there only being six games on the slate. If you are not paying for the top end options (Kevin Durant, Paul George), Covington is a viable mid-range play. Covington should be able to play over 30 minutes with the Sixers not having any other legit SF options.

Victor Oladipo will replace Mario Hezonja in the starting lineup against the Nets. Brooklyn is playing on the second night of a back-to-back and just got torched by Dwyane Wade, making Oladipo a viable option. Oladipo has averaged only 30.86 fantasy points against the Nets this season. All of the matchups were earlier in the season when Oladipo’s asking price was hovering under $7k. Look for Oladipo to be a have a nice showing after sitting for two games.

LeBron James has been ruled out for their match-up vs. Detroit as the Cavs take turns resting some of their players. Much like the other night when Kyrie Irving sat out, this means the other two pieces of the “Big Three” see huge bumps in production and immediately climb to the top of the board in terms of points/$. To show you how much LeBron sitting out affects other Cavs players, take a look at our RotoGrinders’ CourtIQ tool. You can see when all their players are healthy, Irving has a usage rating of 31%, but when LeBron is off the court you see an amazing boost as it reaches 41%! That would easily good for the top usage rating in the league and his fantasy points per minute go from 1.02 to 1.32 as well. All this to say that Irving is the safest PG on the board in terms of value.

Jerami Grant, Richaun Holmes, and Nerlens Noel all ruled out on Tuesday
Jerami Grant (knee, quad) has been ruled out for Tuesday, it will be his first game missed since the injury occurred on Sunday. Grant has been ruled out a minimum of two games. Nerlens Noel (knee) will also miss the next two games. Noel has already been out for three games due to a sore knee. Carl Landry will continue to start in place of Noel, making for a nice tournament option. Landry is averaging 26.6 fantasy points in his last three starts. Richaun Holmes (Achilles) has been ruled out of Tuesday’s contest as well.
