Dennis Schroder (ankle) to play on Wednesday
Dennis Schroder was questionable for Wednesday’s tilt with the Wizards, but he has been confirmed as active. Schroder has not played 28+ minutes since 3/1, making him a low-end tournament option on a twelve-game slate. Jeff Teague would have been an elite option if Schroder missed, but now is just a solid GPP play. Teague is averaging 33.54 fantasy points on DraftKings over his last nine games.

Alan Anderson (ankle) ruled out for Wednesday
Alan Anderson will miss his second consecutive game due to his recurring ankle issues. There is currently no timetable for Anderson’s return. Garrett Temple will soak up the minutes behind Bradley Beal, but he is a low-end play on a twelve-game slate. Bradley Beal has seen 30 minutes in three consecutive games, making him a tournament target against a tough Atlanta Hawks defense.

A lot of people will be looking for value on the Kings as DeMarcus Cousins has been ruled out, but it may affect the player on other side of the ball the most. Karl-Anthony Towns has been sensational as a rookie this season, and while he doesn’t have a stellar track record vs. the Kings this year it should be different with Boogie out of the mix. The Kings are already in the bottom half of the league at defending opposing centers when Cousins is in, but now that KAT will likely see a mixture of Kosta Koufos, Willie Cauley-Stein, and Quincy Acy, he should be able to dominate the paint. According to our RotoGrinders’ CourtIQ tool, Towns is averaging 1.21 fantasy points per minute and has been playing around 38 minutes with Kevin Garnett and Nikola Pekovic still sidelined. Do the math and that is 46 DK points per game, and we wouldn’t be surprised if he surpasses that number since there is no one in the paint that should be able to stop him.

Ryan Anderson (groin) ruled out for Thursday; Norris Cole (back) questionable
Ryan Anderson has already been ruled out of Thursday’s contest against the Pacers. Dante Cunningham has a game of 31 fantasy points and 13 fantasy points, replacing Anderson in the last two games. The volatility makes Cunningham a GPP target only, with his salary also expected to rise. Norris Cole is being listed as questionable, which he has been in all the eight games he’s missed so far. Toney Douglas will get the start again if Cole misses, making him a solid target due to the fact he has exceeded value in every game Cole has missed. Douglas’ asking price is due to spike, so look for an update tomorrow regarding Cole’s status and Douglas’ value.

Reggie Bullock will not be in action against the Magic on Wednesday. This will mark his second consecutive game missed. Bullock was not a DFS option but his absence will likely cause Darrun Hilliard to get in the game after not playing for the past week. With Kentavious Caldwell-Pope also ruled out due to an illness, Stanley Johnson will likely start in place. Johnson is a viable punt target on a twelve-game slate, if he starts.

The Clippers take on the Warriors in what should be an entertaining game to watch as well as plenty of opportunity for fantasy points. The over/under is currently at 225 which is the highest on the board, and you will likely want some exposure to this one. In three games vs. the Warriors this season Chris Paul is averaging just over 50 DK points per game, but two of those were with Blake Griffin in the lineup. Paul is averaging 48 DK points per game without Griffin as compared to only 39 DK points per game with Griffin in the lineup. This is obviously a dramatic difference as we have seen Paul’s production increase significantly over the last couple months without Griffin, but that should be more prominent in a run-and-gun game vs. the Warriors. This style of play fits Paul perfectly, as he loves to get up and down the court and rack up plenty of assists. He has also taken more of scoring role in the offense and will look to put up plenty of shots. The PG position is the Warriors biggest weakness defensively as they are 26th in DvP vs. them over the course of the season. Paul is the type of player that gets fired up for these nationally televised, pseudo-rivalry games and is worth paying up for in this big time match up.
Kobe Bryant, D'Angelo Russell questionable for tonight; Ryan Kelly ruled out
Kobe Bryant mentioned that he was going to play against the Suns on Wednesday, but is now being listed as questionable. Bryant has missed a ton of games this season, so he should only be used in the late if he is confirmed in later tonight. D’ Angelo Russell was injured in Tuesday’s game and is being listed as questionable with a shin injury. If Russell misses the game, Jordan Clarkson would jump to elite value. Look for an update regarding the status of Bryant and Russell later in the day.

Zach LaVine is still cheap across the industry and plays the Kings
Here we are again with yet another Zach LaVine write-up, but this guy continues to prove he is one of the safest plays on the board. At his price of $6,000 on DK and $6,100 on FD he hits at least thirty DK points almost every night. He had a couple of rough games vs. the Spurs and Thunder who are very good defensively against opposing SGs, but other than that he has been solid as a rock. He gets a fantastic match up vs. the Kings who are absolutely horrific at defending opposing SGs. They rank 29th in DvP vs. SGs and they also boast an extremely fast pace, tied with the Warriors for the fastest in the league. The combination of these factors make targeting the Kings’ defense very rewarding, especially the SGs. Andrew Wiggins deserves a mention as well as he has been performing admirably as of late, but LaVine offers just slightly more consistency. You can’t go wrong with either, and they are two of the top SGs on the board vs. the Kings wing defense.

Covington is making his return tonight after a six-game absence and will come off the bench against the Nuggets. Hollis Thompson and Jerami Grant will continue to start at the 3 and 4 spots at least until Covington is able to get his legs back under him. Covington, Thompson and Grant are all best avoided with the Sixers roster now a bit more crowded.

Mejri will draw the start at center tonight after posting a double-double (13pts, 14reb) with six blocks and a steal off the bench on Sunday. He’s a very volatile option given that his playing time isn’t secure, but if Mejri is able to stay on the floor for at least 25-28 minutes he’d have an excellent shot at exceeding value. He’ll face off with the same Portland front-court that he ate up on Sunday. Zaza Pachulia is not a DFS option at this point and his days of DFS relevance in Dallas may be over if Mejri can run away with the job. Mejri is averaging just south of a fantasy point per minute on the season, something he should keep up tonight.

Chandler left Monday’s game and did not return, and he’s now expected to sit out tonight against the Lakers. This news does bode well for the struggling Alex Len, whose minutes should be more secure tonight against a Lakers front-court that has struggled mightily with Cs (28th in DvP). We’d expect Len to shift up to the center spot with Jon Leuer likely to draw the start at PF, and that would also bode well for Len’s rebounding upside. Leuer (who is averaging .95 FD points per minute this season) will be a fairly strong punt play if he draws the start, while Mirza Teletovic (.9 FD points per minute) is also a candidate to see increased run.

Covington is back after missing the past six games due to concussion symptoms, which will eat into the minutes/production of Hollis Thompson and Nik Stauskas. That trio is worth avoiding while the Sixers are healthy on the wing. Holmes has also missed the past six contests and his presence will be welcomed considering Brett Brown has been giving minutes to Elton Brand and Carl Landry with Jahlil Okafor done for the year. Don’t expect Holmes to see more than 20 minutes of court time tonight, but he could become a viable DFS punt play later in the season if he gets extended run.

Bogut is at today’s shootaround and has been upgraded to questionable for tonight’s tilt with the Clippers. If he’s able to go, he’d presumably push James McAdoo from the starting lineup but Bogut himself would be nothing more than a dart-throw GPP target on a full slate. Kevin Looney is still buried at the back of the Warriors bench.

Green sat out against the Pelicans on Sunday but will return to the lineup tonight against the Warriors. He isn’t expected to be limited at all, but he’s still involved in a logjam at the 3/4 spots with Wesley Johnson, Paul Pierce and Luc Mbah a Moute, which makes targeting any of them a risky proposition. Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan are the two strongest options on the Clippers side with J.J. Redick being viable as a punt play at SG.

Nets Head Coach Tony Brown stated today that Shane Larkin and Sergey Karasev would be moving into the starting lineup for the Nets. He also added that Wayne Ellington would see a decrease in playing time. This obviously eliminates Ellington from DFS consideration and puts the low-priced Larkin and Karasev into consideration depending on match ups. If those two are able to get 30 minutes or more of playing time, they will be excellent value options at their current price points.
