Chris Paul

Chris Paul has a huge floor tonight vs. the Thunder

Chris Paul’s price has risen a lot lately and he is one of the highest priced players on the board tonight. He has an extremely high floor and an extremely high ceiling in this matchup vs. the Thunder, because he has historically had huge games against them in his career. The one game in which these two teams played earlier in the year Paul put up 32 real-life points and 60 DK points, plus that was with Blake Griffin in the lineup. Without Griffin, Paul has taken over a huge role in the offense and has had double-doubles in six of their last seven games. We saw the other night vs. Sacramento when he put up 40 real-life points and 76 DK points that he has the upside that we need to take down one of these big GPPs, but he also offers a very solid floor as well. He is an elite option at PG and while a lot of people will be going to the other side of the ball in Russell Westbrook, CP3 offers about the same upside that Westbrook has only at about a $1,000 discount. Paul is a great option for cash games and GPPs as well and is in a great spot tonight in a historically good matchup for Paul vs. the Thunder.

Michael Carter-Williams

Orlando Magic
3/02/16, 7:33 PM ET

Michael Carter-Williams (knee) is out tonight

Michael Carter-Williams will be out again tonight and O.J. Mayo will continue to start at PG. Mayo was an absolute bust in his last outing and Jerryd Bayless put up over 30 fantasy points. Bayless makes for a nice tournament option but he has played poorly against the Pacers in five consecutive games dating back to last season.

Jason Thompson to be available for the Raptors tonight

Jason Thompson will be available tonight for the Raptors but is not available on DFS. He has not practiced with the team so he will likely not play.

Zach LaVine

Sacramento Kings
3/02/16, 7:02 PM ET

Zach LaVine will see huge minutes with the buyout of Kevin Martin

The Timberwolves have reached a buyout agreement with Kevin Martin, and that opens about 15 minutes up for grabs and the majority of that will likely continue to go to Zach LaVine with a few likely going to Shabazz Muhammad. In the last two games without Kevin Martin, LaVine has logged 36 and 41 minutes and will likely to eat up most of those minutes going forward. At under $6k, he is a great option at SG because of his guaranteed minutes now with Martin out of the picture. The Wizards are 24th in DvP vs. SGs, and they are pretty bad at defending wing players which suits LaVine and Andrew Wiggins very nicely. He has been really consistent and has a very solid floor of about 20-22 DK points, and at his price of $5,500 on DraftKings and $5,200 on FanDuel that is excellent relative to his price. He also has some upside that you like to see in tournaments and he is viable in both formats tonight.

Derrick Rose confirmed as the starter for tonight

Derrick Rose is playing on the second night of a back-to-back and has some tournament appeal tonight. The Magic are ranked 28th in DvP against point guards making Rose a good option. Rose will likely be an under-owned player and has only scored over 50 fantasy points once in his last ten games. With his salary at $7k on DK, he does not have a ton of upside.

Mario Hezonja

Cleveland Cavaliers
3/02/16, 7:06 PM ET

Mario Hezonja to start again for Evan Fournier

Hezonja will draw another start on Wednesday with Evan Fournier still out of action. While he hasn’t shown much of a ceiling, this is a good spot for Hezonja against a Bulls team that has given up more FPs over the last 10 days than any team outside of the Lakers. The Magic in general are a great team to target in GPPs. Hezonja’s match-up with a combination of Mike Dunleavy and Doug McDermott should also help to keep him out of foul trouble.

Taj Gibson

New Orleans Pelicans
3/02/16, 6:55 PM ET

Taj Gibson out; Cameron Bairstow will start in his place

Taj Gibson has been ruled out with a hamstring injury and Cameron Bairstow will be starting in his place. Bairstow is not really a viable option due to his limited upside. Bobby Portis will likely be heavily owned now due to Gibson being out. Portis is an elite cash game option and has tournament appeal due to his discounted salary.

Isaiah Canaan

Milwaukee Bucks
3/02/16, 6:46 PM ET

Isaiah Canaan to start again at SG tonight

Isaiah Canaan will once against start at SG over Nik Stauskas tonight against the Hornets. Despite moving into the starting lineup, Canaan still has very little DFS appeal on a full slate; he can be comfortably ignored on FanDuel (where he’s PG eligible), but he does have some punt play appeal on DraftKings. He’s better utilized as a GPP punt as opposed to a cash game play.

Jerami Grant

Memphis Grizzlies
3/02/16, 6:50 PM ET

Jerami Grant starting for Jahlil Okafor tonight

Jerami Grant will be starting for Okafor and is coming off consecutive 30+ fantasy point nights. Grant is a viable punt option in both cash and tournaments. There are a lot of Sixers on minutes restrictions tonight so Grant has a chance to play substantial minutes.

Dwight Howard

Los Angeles Lakers
3/02/16, 6:35 PM ET

Dwight Howard has been on fire and is in a great matchup tonight

Dwight Howard has absolutely been on a tear since the All Star Break. There were reports that he wanted out of Houston before the trade deadline, but he stayed with the Rockets and it looks like he has some newfound motivation going forward. Howard is one of those guys that you question if he really wants to be out on the floor sometimes, but when he wants to play he becomes arguably one of the most dominant centers in the league. He is averaging over 40 DK points per game in his last eight games, and also has eight double-doubles in his last eight games. He is simply underpriced across the industry, but even more so on DraftKings at a measly $7,600 compared to $8,100 on FanDuel. He is also in a great matchup vs. the Pelicans who are 29th in DvP vs. centers, and although he is probable to play it wouldn’t hurt if Anthony Davis were to sit out tonight’s game as well. He is an excellent option on either site with immense upside vs. the Pelicans big men (or lack thereof).

Evan Fournier

Detroit Pistons
3/02/16, 6:44 PM ET

Evan Fournier (wrist) officially ruled out for tonight

Evan Fournier will miss another game with a wrist injury and Mario Hezonja will start in his place. Fournier is 50/50 to play on Friday, so look for an update then. Mario Hezonja put up a dud last night and is only a GPP play tonight. He does not have a ton of upside but he will be low-owned.

Hollis Thompson

Sacramento Kings
3/02/16, 6:25 PM ET

Hollis Thompson will play tonight

Hollis Thompson will return to the lineup after missing the past two games with an illness. His minute totals over the last three games have been 23, 32 and 29, and with Jahlil Okafor out we can expect him to creep up towards the 30 minute mark again tonight. His presence does lessen the appeal of Robert Covington and Jerami Grant, both of whom had picked up at least 30 minutes of court time in the two games he missed.

As reported by: Keith Pompey on Twitter Other tagged players: Robert Covington, Jerami Grant

Jahlil Okafor

Indiana Pacers
3/02/16, 6:33 PM ET

Jahlil Okafor (shin) out on Wednesday

Jahlil Okafor has been ruled out of tonight’s contest with the Hornets. Expect Jerami Grant to start again in his place. Grant is a strong tournament option coming off a 30.5 DKFP night. Grant played over 35 minutes in consecutive games for the first time this season. With him starting tonight, he should be able to secure over 30 minutes again.

Lou Williams

Atlanta Hawks
3/02/16, 4:30 PM ET

Lou Williams expected to miss a minimum of one week

Williams has been diagnosed with a strained left hamstring and is expected to be out a minimum of one week. With Williams on the shelf, look for Jordan Clarkson and D’Angelo Russell to see a handful of extra minutes each while Marcelo Huertas may see a slight uptick in minutes off the bench. Clarkson and Russell remain nice targets tonight despite Kobe being back in the lineup; without Williams around, all three should be able to co-exist. Russell is the top point per dollar target among the three.

Austin Rivers

Minnesota Timberwolves
3/02/16, 4:15 PM ET

Austin Rivers expected to return tonight

Austin Rivers has said that he’ll play tonight against the Thunder. His presence could lead to Pablo Prigioni being pushed out of the rotation, and could also lead to a slight dip in playing time for Jamal Crawford. Rivers isn’t DFS viable, but Crawford still has GPP appeal in a game that is expected to be both close and high scoring.
