Brandon Bass and Ryan Kelly are likely available tonight according to Byron Scott. Both players will only see extended minutes if the Lakers get blown out. Bass is the better DFS play but is still very risky tonight.

Anthony Brown starting for Kobe Bryant on Tuesday
Anthony Brown will be starting for Kobe Bryant on Tuesday. Barring a miracle three-point barrage, Brown should be left off your DFS rosters in the late slate. Brown has only exceeded value once in the last 10 games and will likely see about 24 minutes tonight.

Julius Randle will stay in the starting lineup ahead of Larry Nance tonight. Coach Byron Scott wants to see how Nance’s knee holds up after missing a week. Nance could still have some fantasy value but will now likely be in a full on time share with Randle. Randle and Nance have a good matchup if they can attack Dirk, but on the defensive end Dirk will likely school the Lakers young big men.

Kobe Bryant is a late scratch for tonight’s contest against the Mavs. Bryant will be sitting out due to his sore shoulder and Anthony Brown will start in his place. Brown is not much of a DFS option and has only exceed value once in the last 10 games. Bryant’s absence opens up more shots for Lou Williams, D’Angelo Russel, and Jordan Clarkson. All three players are strong plays tonight against the Mavs with Russell likely being under-owned. Williams has been struggling lately and will have to deal with the defense of Wes Mathews. Clarkson and Russell present the most upside tonight in the Lakers backcourt but Russell does have the cheaper salary, making it easier to exceed value.

Festus Ezeli has now been listed as questionable for Wednesday’s contest against the Mavs. This should likely give Mo Speights some extra run and he could make for a solid late-slate punt option. Speights had 26.75 FPs in the blowout victory over the Spurs and should be able to exceed value on his near minimum salary. The Mavs will be playing on the second night of a back-to-back and they have been notorious all seen at resting players in that situation.

Amar’e Stoudemire will be back in the starting lineup again tonight for the injured Hassan Whiteside. Stoudemire played 26 minutes in his last start and was able to exceed value (27 FPs). Look for Stoudemire to do much of the same tonight against the Nets. Stoudemire should be able to grab double-digit rebounds and will get some open jumpers with Brook Lopez staying near the basket.

Now that Zaza Pachulia has been ruled out for the second straight game with a leg injury, that means Salah Mejri will likely be the starter again in a matchup vs. the Lakers. In the last outing, Mejri went for 10 points and 11 rebounds in 29 minutes to the tune of 29.75 DK points in their game vs. the Rockets. Mejri gets a dream matchup tonight vs. the Lakers who can’t defend the C at all and at a price of only $3,500 on DraftKings he is one of the top value plays on the night. Spending down at center gives you the ability to pay up at other positions who also have great matchups and Mejri could maximize value tonight. Look for Mejri to see 25+ minutes again tonight against one of the worst defensive teams in the league and at a very cheap price.
Hassan Whiteside is out, Chris Bosh becomes a solid option
Without Hassan Whiteside on the court, Chris Bosh sees a ton of minutes because they like to move him down to the center spot as well. Along with the increased minutes without Whiteside, Bosh averages 1.2 DK points per minute when Whiteside isn’t out there. He has a very high floor because of his expected minutes, and along with the bump in usage makes for a pretty safe option tonight. With Chris Andersen and Josh McRoberts both out as well there really isn’t anyone left to syphon minutes from Bosh. The Nets are 19th and 24th DvP against PFs and Cs respectively, so it is a good matchup with the Nets front court as well. The only downside is the Heat are coming off of a back to backs and the over/under is fairly low, but he still remains a safe option for cash games tonight.
Steven Adams (elbow) to start on Tuesday
Steven Adams will return to the lineup tonight after missing two games with an elbow injury. Adams is a low-end center play tonight with so many good big men on the board. Adams return does send Nick Collison to the bench and he has no fantasy value due to it. Enes Kanter will also be slightly affected tonight with Adams returning and is also a low-end play tonight.

Dion Waiters will start at SG with Andre Roberson out. While Waiters minutes will surely be on the rise (expect between 28-33 minutes), his presence in the starting lineup may not be beneficial from a DFS perspective. He’s going to be (at best) the third option behind Russ and KD – he’ll have to hope that he’s on the floor when one (or both) are resting. Waiters is still a viable GPP option at near minimum price across the industry.

Goran Dragic has been officially ruled out of tonight’s game with the Nets. It’ll likely lead to another start for Beno Udrih, who isn’t a recommended DFS option at this point with a ton of other value available (Archie Goodwin most notably at the PG spot). Tyler Johnson will act as the back-up PG, and he’s also not a DFS option tonight. Dwyane Wade should take on most of the ball-handling in critical spots.

Kyle Lowry has been cold in the last couple of weeks posting scores in the mid-thirties. For his $8,500 price point on DraftKings that is not what you are looking for, but he is in a great spot vs. the Wizards who just lost Bradley Beal with a broken nose. Beal is a loss for the Wizards defensively who allow just the ninth least points per game vs. opposing PGs, however in the last three weeks they have jumped up to 21st DvP in terms of PGs. Lowry will likely be low-owned because he has burned a lot of people in the last couple of weeks, but his price has gone down a bit and he has some big upside tonight in a great matchup vs. the Wizards.
Jon Leuer (back) ruled out on Tuesday
Jon Leuer was a game-time decision but has been ruled out due to back spasms. Mirza Teletovic is still questionable and Markieff Morris was confirmed as playing earlier in the day. Morris is still dealing with a sore shoulder so he is a risky DFS option tonight. Alex Len and Tyson Chandler are still starting and are the better big men to play tonight.

Lance Thomas will start for the injured Carmelo Anthony tonight against the Thunder. While he’ll see a fairly big minutes bump, Thomas isn’t a great producer in terms of stats and can be avoided tonight in a match-up where he’ll likely be tasked with following around Kevin Durant. Derrick Williams is the stronger DFS play off the bench, as he has a much higher ceiling and isn’t going to be affected by the score.

Archie Goodwin is a great value play with Brandon Knight out
Brandon Knight has been ruled out for at least the next four games for the Suns, and whenever Brandon Knight is out Archie Goodwin becomes an elite option. That doesn’t change tonight in a matchup with the Sixers that are horrible at defending opposing guards. In games that Knight plays, Goodwin sees 11.8 minutes, and in games that Knight sits then Goodwin plays 37.2 minutes. At only $4,500 on DraftKings and $4,100 on FanDuel, Goodwin is a must play tonight in both cash and GPP contests tonight. He will likely be one of the highest owned guard options tonight and rightly so. Go ahead and lock him into your lineups and fill out the rest of your lineups from there.
