Charlotte injury report - Nicolas Batum OUT for tonight

The Hornets have released their injury report for tonight’s game against the Phoenix Suns. Nicolas Batum is out again and Jeremy Lamb is questionable. Jeremy Lin is probable. It’s a great match up for anyone who gets minutes tonight for the Hornets as the Suns are a virtual train wreck right now. Over the last three weeks they are second worst in the league in fantasy points allowed per game and are worst in the league over the last week. If Lamb can go, he’s an elite value option and Lin is in play as well, even more so if Lamb sits.

Patty Mills

LA Clippers
1/06/16, 1:22 PM ET

Tony Parker out tonight

Parker had already been ruled out tonight but just confirming this news for those who might not have heard already. Patty Mills will likely get the start and is in play as a punt option but keep your expectations in check as Mills hasn’t topped 20 DraftKings fantasy points in his last 10 games despite averaging over 20 minutes a game. He scored 19.75 in 28 minutes last game out as a starter.

Kevin Durant

Houston Rockets
1/06/16, 1:13 PM ET

Kevin Durant upgraded to questionable for tonight's game

The Thunder’s star forward took part in most of their shootaround this morning and has been upgraded to questionable for tonight’s game. He’ll be a game-time decision and it’s a big one for DFS purposes as Russell Westbrook, despite a somewhat subpar game, is always a near must play when Durant does not play. It is a tough defensive match up for the Thunder as they are taking on the Grizzlies who are 7th overall in fantasy points allowed per game. The one area where they are suspect is the SF position, however, as they rank 22nd there so if Durant does go he’s definitely in play. We’ll update you on Durant news as soon as it comes in.

Hassan Whiteside

Hassan Whiteside participates in team shootaround, questionable for tonight

The Heat big man took part in the team shootaround tonight and there is a good chance he will play tonight against the Knicks. He’s listed as questionable for now – we’ll update his status as we learn more. The Knicks are 15th in C DvP but it should be a good match up for Whiteside against Robin Lopez if he is able to take the court.

Evan Fournier

Detroit Pistons
1/06/16, 12:53 PM ET

Evan Fournier questionable for tonight's game

Magic Head Coach Scott Skiles stated that Evan Fournier might not play in their game tonight against the Pacers. Consider him questionable for now and we’ll update his status as soon as we learn more. It’s uncertain how the Magic will handle their rotation if Fournier doesn’t play as their other SG, Victor Oladipo, will be starting at PG for the injured Elfrid Payton. Shabazz Napier is the likely candidate to get more run but he’s not a viable DFS option.

Victor Oladipo

Memphis Grizzlies

Elfrid Payton out for tonight's game

The Magic’s starting PG will miss another game tonight as the team has announced he is out. Victor Oladipo will again get the start and while it’s a very tough match up (the Pacers are 4th in PG DvP), Oladipo’s price point around the industry ($5700 on FanDuel and $5800 on DraftKings) makes him an elite play tonight.

C.J. Miles

Boston Celtics
1/06/16, 12:44 PM ET

CJ Miles will play tonight

After leaving the game yesterday early with an injury, Miles stated that he will play tonight despite being a little sore. Proceed with caution in rostering Miles as he could easily aggravate the injury and leave early again. The Pacers face a Magic team that is middle-of-the-pack in SF DvP at 17th overall.

DeMarre Carroll has knee surgery - is out indefinitely

The Raptors big free agent acquisition is out indefinitely after the team announced that he had knee surgery. Terrence Ross and James Johnson will benefit the most from this unfortunate news. The Raptors take on the Nets today who are one of the bottom five teams in terms of fantasy points allowed to opposing teams. Ross and Johnson are in consideration as value plays on today’s slate.

Chandler Parsons

Chandler Parsons is questionable for tonight

The enigma known for Chandler Parsons is questionable on the Mavericks pre-game notes with a injured right hip. If he is unable to go expect his minutes to be split up between the likes of Wesley Matthews and the three headed back up point guard monster known as Devin Harris, Raymond Felton, and J.J. Barea. We’ll update Parsons availability for tonight as we learn more.

Kobe Bryant

Los Angeles Lakers
1/05/16, 9:20 PM ET

Kobe Bryant out tonight

Kobe Bryant has been ruled out tonight with his sore shoulder. With Bryant and Russell out tonight, Lou Williams and Jordan Clarkson should see a ton of minutes tonight. Both Williams and Clarkson are going to have to score a ton to keep the Lakers close. Look for Nick Young to also get some extra minutes tonight with Bryant not on the floor.

Deron Williams

Cleveland Cavaliers
1/05/16, 9:25 PM ET

Deron Williams is active tonight

Deron Williams has been listed as active tonight against the Kings. Williams is dealing with a bad hamstring and could be limited tonight. With Williams returning J.J. Barea loses most of his fantasy value. The Mavs may still use Barea a fair amount to keep Williams fresh for tomorrow’s game.

Ben McLemore

Portland Trail Blazers
1/05/16, 8:40 PM ET

Ben McLemore is playing tonight

Ben McLemore was listed as questionable all day but will be playing tonight. McLemore is not much of a DFS option tonight, even though he will start. Look for Marco Belinelli to get some extended run with McLemore not at a 100%.

Derrick Rose

Memphis Grizzlies
1/05/16, 8:35 PM ET

Derrick Rose confirmed starting tonight

Derrick Rose has been confirmed as the starter on Tuesday. Rose’s return may take a little bit of fantasy value away from Jimmy Butler. Butler still has a solid matchup and should be able to carry the scoring load. Rose will likely facilitate against the defense of Michael Carter-Williams. Kirk Hinrich and Aaron Brooks go back to being useless in DFS.

Omri Casspi

Memphis Grizzlies
1/05/16, 8:27 PM ET

Omri Casspi out again tonight

Omri Casspi has not recovered from his back spasms and will be out again tonight. With Rondo also out, look for Rudy Gay to try and carry the scoring load in Dallas tonight. Gay has been struggling with an Achilles injury, so buyer beware when placing him in your DFS lineups. He has a chance to do great things, but also did play last night, and didn’t play that well. Ben McLemore will play even though he has been struggling with his own back spasms.
