Kevin Martin expected to re-enter rotation after 7 straight DNP-CDs
Kevin Martin has been a healthy scratch (DNP-CD) in each of the Wolves last 7 games, but it appears that he’ll be back in the rotation tonight. He’s not likely to see much of a workload and isn’t a recommended DFS play, but his presence does slightly hurt the values of Andrew Wiggins, Shabazz Muhammad and Zach LaVine.

Joe Johnson (thigh) to play tonight
Joe Johnson will play tonight with a thigh contusion. Johnson had a strong game in his previous outing but is will likely be limited in this one. Johnson is a boom-or-bust DFS play and the Nets host a strong defensive Raptors squad. Johnson is better left off rosters tonight on such a large slate.

Hassan Whiteside (knee) will warm up with the intention to play
Hassan Whiteside missed the Heat’s last game with a knee injury but looks likely to return tonight against Knicks tonight. Whiteside is still a GTD but he wants to play. Whiteside’s return brings Bosh’s value down slightly, even though he has been playing great lately. Whiteside would make for a strong under-owned big man play tonight if he does end up going.

Evan Fournier will try to play on Wednesday against the Pacers. With Elfrid Payton out, Victor Oladipo should see as much run as he can handle, and he’s a strong option in any format tonight. Tobias Harris would be set to benefit if Fournier is limited at all, with Shabazz Napier and Mario Hezonja also benefiting from a little more playing time. Oladipo is the only core play on the Magic side, but Nikola Vucevic and Tobias Harris are also very much in play.

The Wizards have listed Kris Humphries as out tonight with right knee soreness. No timetable has been given on his return but the Wizards will look to get some frontcourt depth back tonight. Nene is a GTD, but looks to be returning to the lineup and should be able to fill the backup big man minutes. Nene is not a DFS option until he gets his conditioning back and proves he has secured over 15 minutes.

The Warriors have listed Steph Curry as questionable for Friday’s contest against the Blazers. Curry exited last night’s victory early due to him reaggravating the shin injury. The Warriors will likely be cautious with their MVP, but he did play against the Lakers so nothing is out of the question. If Curry is not able to go look for Shaun Livingston to start and make for a good value play in Portland.

The Mavs have also ruled out Deron Williams on Wednesday after the double overtime victory last night. Look for Raymond Felton or J.J. Barea to get the start against the Pelicans tonight. No word has been given on who the starter is, but Barea was limited to only 22 minutes last night, likely leaving him fresh for tonight. Devin Harris is also in consideration for extended minutes tonight after only playing 16 last night.

Dirk Nowitzki, Zaza Pachulia and Wesley Matthews (rest) are all listed as ‘out’ in Wednesday’s game notes. After playing an overtime game last night, it’s not terribly surprising that the Mavs are choosing to rest players on the back-end of a B2B. With those three out, look for Raymond Felton, J.J. Barea and Dwight Powell to see a notable increase in playing time. Javale McGee played very well last night and is also a candidate to benefit from the thin front-court. We’ll pass along the starters when they are announced.

D’Angelo Russell will be a game-time decision Thursday against the Kings. He sat out of Tuesday’s game which allowed for Jordan Clarkson, Lou Williams and even Marcelo Huertas to pick up extra run. If Russell is unable to play tomorrow, Clarkson and Williams both remain elite targets against a Kings team that struggles with guards (and outside shooters). Clarkson and Williams are still in play with Russell active, but they’d be relegated to GPP-only selections.

Both Lakers guards missed last night’s blowout against the Warriors but are prepared to return against the Kings. The game is being played on TNT, so expect Bryant to lead the team in shot attempts. Bryant has been nursing a sore shoulder and the week off likely helped him recover enough. D’Angelo Russell missed the previous game with an illness and would also make for a decent play on Thursday. Russell’s minutes are tied to how competitive the game is, so if the Lakers are within range to win the game, expect Russell to be on the bench in crunch time.

Mike Conley is now considered questionable to play on Wednesday due to a sore left Achilles. He didn’t appear to be too hampered by it in the Grizzlies last game, but Mario Chalmers did play a larger than usual role and saw some added time down the stretch. If Conley sits out, Chalmers is a viable play in any format with the Grizzlies lacking any viable PG options behind him. Jeff Green and Courtney Lee would be the only other potential options to see any run at the point, so Chalmers would be a great bet for 35+ minutes.

After missing the last game due to illness, George Hill will play tonight for the Pacers in their game against the Magic. Hill’s price point ($5,300 on DK and $5,600 on FD) puts him in play against a Magic team that is 20th in PG DvP.

Nikola Pekovic set to return to action today
Sources say that a Timberwolves official has stated that Nikola Pekovic is “all set” to play tonight in their game against the Nuggets. While Pekovic might not be a viable DFS option tonight, his return will take some minutes away from the likes of Gorgui Dieng and Karl Anthony-Towns in what is a plus match up against the Denver Nuggets (20th in DvP against PF, 21st in DvP against C). Both are still viable options despite Pekovic returning.

After missing over a month due to injury, Nene Hilario will return to the court in the Wizards game against the Cavaliers. Nene is not a viable DFS option against one of the top defenses in the league.

In addition to Tony Parker, LaMarcus Aldridge will not play tonight against the Jazz as the team gives him a day off to rest. Boris Diaw and David West should soak up his minutes but neither are in play in what is expected to be the lowest scoring, slowest paced game of the day (total is a measly 186).
