DFS Alerts
Harrison Barnes playing on Monday
Harrison Barnes will be making his return to the lineup tonight after missing all of December with an ankle injury. Barnes has not been cleared to play his regular minutes, and will be playing in short stints. Barnes should be avoided until he can prove he has fully recovered.
Mike Conley to play on Monday
Mike Conley is going to play tonight, so get Mario Chalmers loses most of his value. Chalmers will still get a good amount of run, but Conley is going to get most of the minutes. Conley makes for a good under-owned player against the Blazers tonight.
Derrick Favors out after not warming up
Derrick Favors has been ruled out of tonight’s contest with his back injury. Jeff Withey will make another start in his place and should be put into some of your lineups. Withey has been playing well and the Rockets do not defend well.
Damian Lillard (foot) confirmed starter tonight
Damian Lillard will make his return after sitting out with a foot injury. The Blazers take on the Grizzlies tonight, and he should more than likely be avoided. Lillard will make for an under-owned GPP option, but his elevated salary has him needing to reach 50 FPs to exceed value.
As reported by: Casey HoldahlQuincy Acy starting for Omri Casspi
Quincy Acy will be making the start for Omri Casspi tonight. Acy is still not a DFS option with his non-existant offensive game. Willie Cauley-Stein is the better option now that he has returned from injury. Look for Acy to get some minutes in the first half before giving way to Cauley-Stein
Ty Lawson out tonight with an ankle injury
The Rockets have ruled out Ty Lawson tonight with an ankle injury. Look for Patrick Beverley to get more minutes, with Jason Terry also getting a bump. The Jazz do not defend the PG position well so Beverley could be in for a nice game.
Other tagged players: Patrick BeverleyAnthony Morrow starting for Durant
Anthony Morrow will be starting for the injured Kevin Durant tonight. Morrow is primarily a scorer so he will need to have his shot fall tonight. Playing against the Kings should allow for some open looks for Morrow, but he is still a GPP only play.
Chris Anderson starting for Whiteside
Hassan Whiteside has been ruled out with his knee injury and that opens the door for Birdman. Chris Anderson is not a DFS option even though he is starting tonight. Anderson will split the minutes with Amar’e Stoudemire tonight.
As reported by: Miami HeatPatty Mills starting for Tony Parker
Patty Mills has been confirmed as the starter tonight. He is a cheap option and should be able to hit value against the Bucks tonight. Michael Carter-Williams’ length may disrupt Mills tonight, making him a risky punt play in this matchup. Look for Mills to be more of a facilitator than a scorer in the starting lineup.
Omri Casspi out tonight
Omri Casspi has been ruled out tonight with upper back soreness. This comes as a surprise and the starter has not been named yet. Casspi’s absence should give a boost to Rudy Gay. Gay has been struggling with a sore Achillies, so there is a chance he puts up a dud.
James Johnson confirmed starting tonight
James Johnson has been inserted into the starting lineup for the injured DeMarre Carroll. Johnson is a near minimum salaried player, so his DFS value looks good tonight. The only concern for Johnson is that he will have to guard LeBron James, if he can stay out of foul trouble he would make for a good punt option.
Kelly Olynyk to start with Jared Sullinger off the bench
Kelly Olynyk will be in the starting lineup for the struggling Jared Sullinger. Olynyk has played well in his starts and should have a good game against Brook Lopez. Olynyk will likely be a chalky player due to the news coming out before lock. Olynyk should be able to take Brook Lopez out of the paint, helping the rest of the Celtics.
Other tagged players: Jared SullingerVictor Oladipo to start on Monday
Victor Oladipo makes his return to the starting lineup with Elfrid Payton struggling with ankle injuries. Oladipo’s price has fallen and he should be plugged into DFS lineups tonight with the start. Oladipo has been struggling to regain his form, so expectations should be tempered. If Oladipo can crack over 30 minutes he should be able to hit value.
Elfrid Payton (ankle) not going to play tonight
Elfrid Payton will miss the first game of his career with ankle injuries. Victor Oladipo is likely to start in his place and would make for a great play tonight. No timetable has been given on Payton’s return, so he could miss multiple games with his injury.
Evan Turner starting tonight
With Avery Bradley out tonight, Evan Turner will be in the starting lineup. Evan Turner will be a chalky pick tonight, but he should be able to put up stats against the Nets. Turner is not much of a shooter, so look for him to try and create off the dribble. Turner is only $5,100 on DraftKings, so he should allow for other solid pieces to fit around him.
