George Hill out tonight due to food poisoning
George Hill has been ruled out and Monta Ellis will start in his place a PG. C.J. Miles will slide over to the SG position and should be considered tonight against the Heat. Miles has been playing well, and averages about 30FPs when he gets the minutes. He should see about 30 minutes tonight, so look for him to exceed value.

Shane Larkin confirmed starting for the injured Jarrett Jack
Shane Larkin has been confirmed the starter for the Nets, and he makes for a solid punt option tonight. The Celtics do defend well, so Larkin’s ceiling is somewhat limited. Larkin will be a chalky pick tonight due to his low salary, so he will really need to exceed value to make a difference. Fading Larkin is not a bad idea due to how many guard options there are tonight.
Hassan Whiteside (knee) unlikely to play on Monday
Hassan Whiteside is unlikely to play tonight against the Pacers. With his likely absence, Chris Bosh gets a huge bump in value. PF is weird tonight with no real value plays. Look for Bosh to play center position when the Heat go small. Whiteside does not have a major knee injury, so consider him questionable for the Heat’s next contest.
DeMarre Carroll (knee) out on Monday
The Raptors have scratched DeMarre Carroll tonight after his knee swelled up. James Johnson is likely to start in his place to guard LeBron James. Johnson is a decent play tonight, but will likely be in foul trouble against James. Look for Terrence Ross to also get some additional minutes tonight, but he is also is a risky DFS play. It is best to avoid the Raptors in what should be a low-scoring affair.

The Sixers will try to matchup in size by starting Nik Stauskas tonight. Stauskas is an interesting GPP only play tonight against in his matchup against Andrew Wiggins. Stauskas is coming off a 30 point fantasy night so he should make for a solid punt option with his near minimum salary.

The Sixes will try to match the length of the Timberwolves tonight by starting Noel and Okafor together. Noel had been playing well with Okafor coming off the bench, but loses a little DFS value tonight with his return to the starting lineup. The Sixers figure to be in an uptempo close game tonight, so both Noel and Okafor will need to play well.

The Cavs are listing Kevin Love as probable tonight due to his illness. He will go through warmups before his availability is confirmed. If Love does end up missing the game, the Cavs could go back to Timofey Mozgov at C and move Tristan Thompson to PF.

Hollis Thompson will not play on Monday against the T’Wolves. He’s listed as out per the Sixers game notes, and it’s not terribly surprising since he didn’t suit up for the Sixers two games in LA on Friday and Saturday. With Thompson out, Nik Stauskas should continue to see 25-28 minutes of run with Robert Covington and Jakarr Sampson also potential candidates to pick up extra work. Stauskas is only playable as a GPP-dart throw, as he’s very dependent upon scoring and hasn’t been hitting shots with any real consistency.

Kobe Bryant, D'Angelo Russell questionable for Tuesday
Russell was sent home from today’s practice due to an illness, and we should know more about his status tomorrow at shootaround. Assuming both players are able to go (which seems fairly likely), the Lakers backcourt becomes much harder to target given the log-jam of players vying for minutes. If either sit, Jordan Clarkson would become a strong GPP play, with Lou Williams also very much an option.

Damian Lillard has been upgraded to probable for Monday’s game with the Grizzlies. This definitely hurts the appeal of C.J. McCollum, who is now far too overpriced based on his production with Lillard in the lineup. Neither guard is a recommended option tonight against Memphis and it’s probably safe to avoid the Portland side altogether.

Tiago Splitter will not return for the Hawks tomorrow but may be back in the lineup by the end of the week. This news doesn’t have much DFS relevancy but will lead to extra minutes for a guy like Walter Tavares.

We won’t have anything official until tomorrow on Deron Williams. If he returns, it’ll basically take J.J. Barea out of play and also eats into Raymond Felton’s court time. Barea has posted some big fantasy lines as the starter and if Williams needs another night to rest, Barea will remain squarely in play. We’ll update Williams’ status after tomorrow’s shootaround.

Stephen Curry is still questionable for tonight while Harrison Barnes, Brandon Rush and Festus Ezeli are all probable. If Curry plays, he’ll be a GPP-only target due to his high price tag and the level of risk that comes with playing someone fresh off an injury. If he sits, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green both remain elite targets in any format. With Harrison Barnes and Brandon Rush both healthy, the Warriors wing situation will be one to avoid until we get a feel for how the playing time will shake out.

Nicolas Batum will not play on Monday against the Warriors. His absence should lead to another start for Jeremy Lin, and will also lead to Kemba Walker’s usage taking a small spike upwards. Lin is a nice value play across the industry, although he’s better utilized in tournaments since he’ll be playing more off the ball with Walker running the show. Jeremy Lamb also gets a bump in value with Batum out, but he’s had trouble seeing the court for more than 25-28 minutes and that makes him very tough to target in DFS.

Derrick Rose’s MRI showed no structural damage to his knee and he’s a game-time decision for tomorrow’s meeting with the Bucks. He went through practice today and the swelling he’s been dealing with has gone down, so it appears that he has a fairly good shot to suit up tomorrow. He won’t be a recommended target if he’s able to go and it will slightly hurt the value of Jimmy Butler, but if Rose sits, Butler becomes a stronger play and Aaron Brooks also enters the discussion as a GPP punt.
