Suns starting lineup change: Devin Booker in for Brandon Knight and T.J. Warren in for PJ Tucker
The Suns are trying to make a lineup change and will bring Devin Booker and T.J. Warren into the starting lineup. Brandon Knight and P.J. Tucker will come off the bench in this game. Look for Booker and Warren to try to bring the energy in the start while Knight will attack a weak defending Jazz bench. It is tough to recommend Booker or Warren as late swap options against a tough Utah team, but hopefully they can exceed their value.

Timberwolves to start Rubio, Wiggins, Prince, Dieng and Towns
The Timberwolves will start Rubio and Wiggins in the backcourt again tonight with Prince, Dieng and Towns in the frontcourt. Kevin Garnett is warming up, so he may make a cameo appearance in Boston tonight. The Timberwolves played last night, so Prince can also be limited, opening up some more minutes for Kevin Martin and Shabazz Muhammad.

Gary Neal was a late scratch with a sore lower back. Gary Neal’s absence means that Garrett Temple will likely see all the minutes he can handle at SG tonight. Temple makes for an elite punt against the Kings as does Kelly Oubre.

Now that Otto Porter has been ruled out of this game, Kelly Oubre will be starting in his place and is sitting at only $3,300 on DraftKings. In the Wizards game vs. the Hornets on Saturday, the Wizards only played 8 people the entire game. Granted, if you just looked at the box score you saw Oubre only played only 22 minutes. However, Oubre started and nearly hit value in the first quarter alone, but got 2 quick fouls and was taken out. Then in the second half he got another 2 fouls within a minute of each other and foul trouble was the reason he only played 22 minutes. On the flip side, Jared Dudley played 42 minutes and likely will not hit that number again tonight, and we expect Oubre’s minutes to even out a bit more. Any of the Wizards’ starters are great options tonight as they play a fast-paced Sacramento Kings team with an over/under of 217. There are a couple of great values as well as elite options such as John Wall and look for a lot of production from the few Wizards in the lineup tonight.
Allen Crabbe to start at SG Monday
Allen Crabbe will be replacing the injured CJ McCollum in the starting lineup tonight against the Hawks. Crabbe is an elite punt option against Kyle Korver. While Crabbe is not an elite creator off the dribble, he will still likely get a ton of shots in this game. Gerald Henderson also gets a boost with Crabbe now in the starting lineup, and he also is a great punt option at SG tonight. It’s tough to predict who will get all the usage for Portland, but all the players on their roster are in play due to Lillard and McCollum both being out.

The Trail Blazers have confirmed that Tim Frazier will be starting tonight for the injured Damian Lillard. Frazier is a minimum priced player and could really help your studs and scrubs GPP approach tonight. While playing a player with such little experience is always risky, Jeff Teague is not the strongest on-ball defender, giving Frazier a chance to exceed value.

With Jimmy Butler set to match-up with Joe Johnson, the Bulls don’t really need Snell in the starting lineup to match-up with an offensively minded SF/SG, so the Bulls are able to get more offensive punch in the lineup tonight with Mirotic if they choose. Not only that, but playing Mirotic at SF also allows for the Bulls to free up some minutes for Bobby Portis. This would certainly raise Mirotic’s floor and ceiling and probably at least guarantees him 25 minutes of court time barring an injury or foul trouble. He’s a GPP-only selection tonight in a game with a total under 200 and a spread of 10+ points.

Jae Crowder contrarian target tonight
The Celtics’ rotation isn’t normally one we like to target as coach Brad Stevens usually has them going 10-deep. However if anyone has solidified a role in the rotation it has been Jae Crowder averaging right around 36 minutes per game and actually being an extremely consistent fantasy option. At a price of $5,600 on DraftKings, Crowder has consistently hit the mid to upper-twenties in fantasy points over the last month or so. The Celtics also announced that Jared Sullinger and Amir Johnson are out and Kelly Olynyk and David Lee will start in their places. That takes their 10-man rotation down to 8 and almost guarantees Crowder for at least 36 minutes again tonight likely seeing some time at PF. Most people will be taking Olynyk or even Lee in the Celtics’ front-court and Crowder will likely be under-owned tonight.
Kevin Garnett (rest) out Monday
Kevin Garnett has been ruled out of Monday’s contest and we will likely see Gorgui Dieng starting in his place. Dieng is coming off a 20 points and 10 rebounds performance last night and will look to keep the momentum going against the Celtics. He will likely have to match up with David Lee and should be able to hit or exceed value. Dieng’s price has risen, but he is still a good mid-range punt option with him likely to play 30 minutes. With so many cheap punt options tonight, Dieng’s ownership level could likely not be as high as it would have coming off his best game of the season.

Kyle O’Quinn is struggling with ankle injury and has been ruled out of Monday’s game against the Magic. O’Quinn was averaging 19 minutes over his last 4 games, so look for Lance Thomas and Derrick Williams to step into those minutes. Thomas has been playing extremely well and could get a lot of minutes if the Knicks go to Carmelo Anthony at the 4 and Kristaps Porzingis at the 5. Thomas has scored in double figures in 9 of his last 11 games while averaging 24 minutes, making him a strong option at his extremely cheap salary.

The Celtics have confirmed that Kelly Olynyk and David Lee will be starting for the injured Amir Johnson and Jared Sullinger tonight. Both players can make for great punt options and will likely be heavily owned due to the news coming out so early. Look for Cody Zeller and Jonas Jerbeko to also get some play as their backups tonight.

Tim Frazier is the only other PG listed on the Blazers depth chart, so he is expected to make his 4th career start. Frazier is likely to see over 25 minutes, but also could get benched if he makes a ton of errors leading to Portland’s blowout. Frazier is a risky play but is a strong option due to his minimum salary. It would not take much for Frazier to exceed value and he could really see a ton of usage. We will confirm who is starting once the information comes available.

Otto Porter will join Bradley Beal on the sideline once again tonight against the Kings. This leaves big minutes for the likes of Jared Dudley, Garrett Temple, Gary Neal and Kelly Oubre, all of whom should play important roles tonight. Dudley and Temple should both see upwards of 30 minutes (Dudley could see up to 40), while Neal and Oubre will probably end up in the 20-25 minute range. John Wall remains an elite target, as does Marcin Gortat despite a tough match-up with DeMarcus Cousins. Dudley is playable in any format, but Temple, Neal and Oubre are best utilized in GPPs as they all have very low floors.

The Nuggets are dealing with some injury issues at the moment and have already ruled out Emmanuel Mudiay for Tuesday’s contest. The Lakers travel to Denver for the game and Mudiay’s absence likely means another start for Jameer Nelson. The Lakers get absolutely torched by opposing point guards and would make Nelson an elite option on a short slate. If Danilo Gallinari is to not play or is limited in any fashion look for Will Barton to continue his hot streak. Barton is coming off his best game of the season with 32 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists, so he will be an extremely chalky play if Gallinari does indeed miss. The Lakers give up a ton of fantasy points to everyone so there will be some value plays as well in Denver.

The Celtics have ruled out Amir Johnson with plantar fasciitis in his left foot and Jared Sullinger with back spasms. Both players were in the starting frontcourt for the Celtics, so Kelly Olynyk and David Lee both should see a huge bump in value if they start. Lee is listed as a PF and Olynyk as C, so you even have an option to use both players. Lee is the cheaper DFS option and the Timberwolves rank as 22nd in opponent DvP for PF, making him a great punt choice. Olynyk’s last great game was against the Warriors and he not done much since then, so he is a risky GPP only option tonight. This will mark Olynyk’s possible first start of the season and could give him a chance to receive over 25 minutes. In four games this season that Olynyk has seen over 25 minutes, he’s averaged 22 points, 5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.5 steals. Olynyk could be great, but also could be in foul trouble if Karl Anthony-Towns decides to attack him. Karl Anthony-Towns is coming off a 24 point and 10 rebound performance last night, so the Timberwolves could ride his hot hand with some of the T’Wolves players resting on the second night of a back-to-back.
