Matt Barnes starting, Zach Randolph likely out
Matt Barns will be starting again for the injured Zach Randolph. Barnes played 38 minutes and had 14 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals last night. Barnes makes for a good late-swap option with his minutes likely to hover around 30. Don’t expect a great shooting night, but if he can grab the other peripheral stats, it makes him very valuable.

Jared Cunningham starting tonight
Jared Cunningham will be starting tonight and Mo Williams will be coming off the bench. The Cavs likely needed a scoring punch for their bench and wanted to limit Williams after coming off an injury. Cunningham does make for an elite yet risky punt option due to his minutes not being secure. Williams is the crunch time player so look for Cunningham to get about 20 minutes tonight.

Alex Len will be starting in place of Tyson Chandler (illness) tonight. Len is an elite punt option for the late slate, and could be swapped in on DraftKings due to the game not starting yet. Len had 10 points and 6 rebounds the last time he received 25 minutes, so he should be in line for at least that much. With Eric Bledsoe still a GTD, Len may get an couple extra shots if Bledsoe misses.

Chandler Parsons is being held out of tonight’s contest with the Mavs playing on back-to-back nights. Parsons’ replacement has not been named yet and we will update once we find out.

Caron Butler has been ruled out of tonight’s contest, but he had already missed the last two games with his knee injury. Look for Omri Casspi to pick up the slack.

Bjelica will miss another game with a knee contusion. With Bjelica out, Shabazz Muhammad should see extra run. It was reported that Muhammad will start to see his minutes climb into the mid-twenties to give the Wolves some added scoring punch off the bench, so he’s an interesting GPP punt play if you need a minimum priced player.

Patrick Beverley playing tonight
Patrick Beverley says he’s “definitely playing” tonight which takes Ty Lawson’s value down some more. Lawson had not been playing well in Beverley’s absence and Jason Terry had been starting. Terry is likely to start again with Lawson and Beverley splitting the backup PG duties. None of these three players are options tonight as they destroy each others value with the time share.

Gerald Green will be starting in place of Luol Deng tonight. Green’s basically minimum salary makes him a great choice tonight against the Pistons. He will face a tough defensive team but if he is able to secure over 30 minutes he should have a substantial fantasy impact. Green is a boom-or-bust option, so he also could also put up a dud.

The Kings will start Rajon Rondo, Ben McLemore, Rudy Gay, Willie Cauley-Stein and Kosta Koufos against the Bucks on Tuesday. Rondo and Gay are both elite plays tonight in a game that should stay competitive. Rondo has been an assist machine over the past few weeks and is a nightly triple double threat. Gay’s usage should see a nice uptick without Cousins down low – neither Koufos or WCS have much of an offensive game, and they certainly won’t be able to account for the 20 or so shot attempts he takes.

LaMarcus Aldridge will play on Wednesday and is likely to start. Aldridge makes for a great GPP play tonight with the news coming so close to lineup lock. Dirk Nowitzki is a weak defender and Aldridge has had time off, so he will likely come out ready to attack. Aldridge’s price has dropped to the point where he has a chance to exceed value.

Zach Randolph is still struggling with his knee injury and is unlikely to play tonight according to Memphis coach Dave Joerger. He has missed the past 3 games, so look for Jeff Green to start in his place again tonight. Green put up 19 points and had 7 rebounds in 35 minutes last night. The minutes should be there again tonight and his production is cheap compared to his price on DK and FD.

Spencer Dinwiddie will not play Tuesday against the Heat. Steve Blake will step into backup PG duties behind Reggie Jackson, who is only viable as a contrarian GPP play against a stingy Heat defense.

Beverley has missed the Rockets past five games, but looks to have a shot to return tonight. The Rockets haven’t gotten much out of Ty Lawson and Jason Terry isn’t doing much with extended minutes, so Beverley has a shot to take hold of the job when he’s able to return for a full allotment of minutes. He’s best left alone on his first night back in action.

Luol Deng has been ruled out with his hamstring injury tonight. Gerald Green was seen getting reps in practice with the starters so there is a chance he will getting the start. Green is only $3,300 on DraftKings and $3,500 on FanDuel making him an interesting punt option if he does start. The Pistons are a solid defensive team and he would be covered by Marcus Morris. With such a large slate, Green is one of those value plays you need in a stars and scrubs approach. His boom-or-bust DFS value will limit his ownership percentage.

Isaiah Canaan & Robert Covington have been named the starters for the Sixers tonight against the Celtics. Canaan will start at SG and will be guarded by Avery Bradley. Covington will start at SF and be covered by Jae Crowder. Both plays have tough matchups but could be elite punt options with their low salaries. Canaan is only $3,800 on DK and $4,100 on FD, which is pretty cheap because he will likely play even if the Sixers get blown out.
