Corey Coleman returns to practice; status uncertain for this week
The Browns rookie standout returned to practice today but was not catching passes – his status remains uncertain for this weekend. We’ll continue to update you as news comes in on the promising WR.

C.J. Anderson being evaluated for a knee injury
The Broncos starting RB injured his knee on Monday night but was still able to play for three quarters on it. He is getting the injury evaluated today and we should know more after the results come back. If for some reason he is unable to go, Devontae Booker would become an elite RB option this week facing a Chargers run defense that is 21st in RB Rush DVOA.

After missing several weeks with a concussion, the Redskins TE is on track to play this week after taking part in their practice today. The Redskins travel to Cincinnati this week – it’s a good match up for Reed as the Bengals are bottom five in TE DVOA.

Coleman is still dealing with a hamstring injury and while he ran off on the side he was unable to practice and seems unlikely to play this week against the Packers. Devonta Freeman will be expected to shoulder the load in what should be one of the highest scoring games of the week. While the Packers run defense is solid, Freeman is a viable DFS option due to his expected workload, and his usage in the pass game and red zone.

Moncrief took part in practice today in a non-contact jersey and Colts Head Coach Chuck Pagano is hopeful that he’ll be able to play this week when Indy takes on the Chiefs. It’d be a huge boost for the Colts offense in general – we’ll keep you updated on his status as the week progresses.

McCown is itching to play and has told media he is moving in the right direction and will do more in practice this week. With Cody Kessler banged up, he might get the opportunity to play against the woeful Jets pass defense. He’d certainly be in play as a DFS option if he is able to go. Denver had averaged 77.25 rushing yards as a team over the past four weeks. Last night, they put up 190 rushing yards on the backs of C.J. Anderson (16 carries for 107 yards and a touchdown) and Devontae Booker (17 carries for 83 yards and a touchdown). Both backs looked excellent, and it appears that Coach Gary Kubiak wants to stick with their timeshare going forward. It’s hard to argue with that strategy, as they’re both extremely capable, and it prevents them from being overworked. Unfortunately for fantasy owners, this means Anderson’s fantasy potential will be reduced. Game flow definitely enabled both Booker and Anderson to have successful fantasy nights against the Texans, but it won’t always be that way. However, they get the Chargers at home in Week 8. Although the Chargers beat them two weeks ago, the Broncos are 5-point favorites. It’s possible the running backs have a favorable game script once again in that one, but it will still be hard to trust either one to have a monster game; both are better used in tournaments given their timeshare.

Delanie Walker has full practice Tuesday
Walker has a bruised chest, but got in a full practice Tuesday. He should be set to play Thursday against Jacksonville. The Jaguars pass defense has done a solid job this year, allowing just 215 passing yard per game, good for 6th in the league. In terms of DVOA, they rank 2nd against tight ends. Delanie remains Mariota’s favorite target though, so he should get a lot of opportunities. Last week, Walker had seven receptions, 86 yards, and a touchdown against the Colts.

Tennessee will announce Sharpe’s Week 8 playing status tomorrow, so as of now he’s questionable with a knee injury. Sharpe has averaged 3.1 receptions and 35.4 yards per game this season even though he was considered the Titans’ number one receiver before Kendall Wright returned. He won’t be a strong fantasy play if he suits up Thursday night, the Jaguars pass defense has been surprisingly good, ranking 8th in pass DVOA.
As reported by: Jim Wyatt Donte Moncrief expected to return to practice Wednesday
Moncrief hasn’t played since fracturing his scapula in Week 2 against the Broncos. Coach Chuck Pagano believes there’s a good chance Moncrief gets back to practice Wednesday, and there’s a chance he plays Sunday against the Chiefs. If he plays, he could end up being limited, but if he’s a full go, he’ll be a viable tournament option. We’ll get more information on his health throughout the week.

Cook has been out since Week 3, when he sprained his ankle while playing the Lions. He’s still not ready to get back to practice, which leaves Richard Rodgers as Green Bay’s primary tight end. Even without Cook in the lineup, Rodgers hasn’t had a single game with more than two catches or 25 yards this season. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers will continue to target Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb, Davante Adams, and Ty Montgomery a ton as they remain a pass-heavy offense with Eddie Lacy and James Starks out.

Miller’s shoulder was injured while playing the Broncos Monday night, which caused him to see a reduced workload. Alfred Blue subbed in for Miller quite a bit, getting a season-high 11 touches. Miller should be able to play Sunday against the Lions, but depending on his progress he could see a fewer touches than normal. It’s a great matchup for him, Football Outsiders ranks Detroit 26th in rush DVOA, so if he gets healthy he should have a nice game.

Thomas is dealing with an ankle injury, which kept him out of practice today. Jacksonville is on a short week as they play the Titans on Thursday, so Thomas is questionable to play in Week 8. He hasn’t put up big numbers this year, averaging 3.2 receptions and 39.2 yards per game with two touchdowns on the season. If he’s able to play, he’ll face a tough pass defense. Tennessee ranks 10th is pass DVOA, according to Football Outsiders.
