Miles Boykin

Chicago Bears
12/03/21, 5:07 PM ET

BAL WR Miles Boykin listed doubtful for Sunday; TE Nick Boyle and FB Patrick Ricard listed questionable

Miles Boykin has been listed doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers while Nick Boyle and Patrick Ricard have been listed listed questionable. Boykin was expected to serve as receiver depth so his presumed absence should not be considered DFS relevant. If Boyle were to miss, Eric Tomlinson would be the primary backup to Mark Andrews. If Ricard were to miss the Ravens would likely go without a fullback possibly meaning slightly more work for their running backs. None of these potential absences would be considered DFS relevant this weekend.

Melvin Gordon

12/03/21, 5:03 PM ET

DEN RB Melvin Gordon doubtful for Sunday

Melvin Gordon has been listed doubtful for Sunday night’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs. With Gordon likely to miss, Javonte Williams will become one of the top plays on the showdown slate due to expected volume and production. Mike Boone and Damarea Crockett will likely be available to back him up but would not be expected to play a major role, though HC Fangio did say Boone will play the running back 2 role. It will be important to check back when inactives are released 90 minutes before kickoff to ensure Gordon is out.

Allen Robinson

Detroit Lions
12/03/21, 4:54 PM ET

CHI WR Allen Robinson listed doubtful for Sunday; WR Marquise Goodwin and RB Damien Williams listed out

Allen Robinson has been listed doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals while Marquise Goodwin and Damien Williams have been listed out. If Robinson were to be officially ruled out, Darnell Mooney would once again be the top receiver for the Bears with Damiere Byrd and Jakeem Grant also likely to play a larger role in the offense. With Williams once again out, Khalil Herbert would remain the unquestioned number two back behind David Montgomery with Ryan Nall also available in case of an emergency.

Andy Dalton

Carolina Panthers
12/03/21, 3:31 PM ET

CHI QB Andy Dalton will start Sunday; QB Justin Fields will not play per HC Matt Nagy

As expected, Andy Dalton will start Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals and Justin Fields will not play per HC Matt Nagy. This makes sense as HC Matt Nagy said he doesn’t want to rush Fields back till he is 100%. It wouldn’t be surprising for Fields to return in Week 14 after being able to practice this week. Andy Dalton will once again start this Sunday for the Bears giving all pass-catchers a slight boost while not being considered a good play himself.

James Robinson

New Orleans Saints
12/03/21, 3:27 PM ET

JAC RB James Robinson (heel) listed questionable for Sunday

JAC RB James Robinson (heel) has been listed questionable for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams. Robinson is still nursing a heel injury that he was able to play through the last two weeks and is now also dealing with a knee injury. It seems as though Robinson is trending in the right direction to play this weekend as he was able to log limited practices each day this week. However, if he were to be ruled out Carlos Hyde would lead the backfield with Dare Ogunbowale available to back him up. Hyde would need to be considered as a value option based on expected volume even in a tough matchup. It will be important to monitor Robinson’s status when inactives are released 90 minutes prior to kickoff.

Sterling Shepard

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
12/03/21, 3:22 PM ET

NYG WR Sterling Shepard and WR Kadarius Toney listed doubtful for Sunday; NYG TE Kyle Rudolph, WR John Ross, and FB Cullen Gillaspia listed questionable; TE Kaden Smith listed out

Sterling Shepard and Kadarius Toney have been listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins while Kyle Rudolph, John Ross, and Cullen Gillaspia have been listed questionable. With Shepard and Toney likely out it will be another week of Kenny Golladay and Darius Slayton leading the receiving corps. Kyle Rudolph seems to be trending towards a return and should reclaim his role as the number two tight end behind Evan Engram. Kaden Smith is set to be placed on IR meaning the third tight end spot should be played by Chris Myarick who does not figure to be DFS relevant at this point.

Kyler Murray

Arizona Cardinals
12/03/21, 1:56 PM ET

ARI QB Kyler Murray and WR DeAndre Hopkins will be game-time decisions Sunday

Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins will both be game-time decisions Sunday ahead of their matchup against the Chicago Bears. Both Murray and Hopkins seem to be trending in the right direction to play this week after missing the last several games. Murray would instantly provide a boost to all pass-catchers as he has been one of the top quarterbacks in terms of efficiency this year. Having said that the return of his top target DeAndre Hopkins could also limit the upside enjoyed by the other Cardinals receivers. It will be important to monitor both of their statuses when inactives are released 90 minutes prior to kickoff.

Dalvin Cook

Dallas Cowboys
12/03/21, 1:32 PM ET

MIN RB Dalvin Cook officially ruled out for Sunday

As expected, Dalvin Cook has officially been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions. This is one of the more clear-cut backup situations in the league; Alexander Mattison will be an outstanding value, as he has a smash matchup against a bad defense, and will get the workload to himself. Mattison saw 68% of the snaps week 3 when Dalvin sat, and had 28 carries and 8 targets. He becomes one of the better plays on the slate in a smash spot against a weak defense.

JD McKissic

Washington Commanders
12/03/21, 1:50 PM ET

WAS RB J.D. McKissic (concussion) ruled out for Sunday; WR Curtis Samuel (groin) and TE Ricky Seals-Jones (hip) questionable

J.D. McKissic (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders while Curtis Samuel (groin) and Ricky Seals-Jones (hip) have been listed as questionable. McKissic’s absence will likely lead to more work for Antonio Gibson and Jaret Patterson while HC Ron Rivera also mentioned the possibility of Wendell Smallwood (currently on the practice squad) playing a role on third downs. Gibson is likely to be the biggest beneficiary and should be considered in most lineups as this could be a breakout week for him. Curtis Samuel seems to have responded well to his first game action last week and will likely see a little more work this week if he is cleared. Seals-Jones (if available) should slot into his backup tight end role behind Logan Thomas who returned last week.

Jalen Hurts

Philadelphia Eagles
12/03/21, 1:41 PM ET

PHI QB Jalen Hurts and RB Boston Scott to be listed questionable for Sunday; RB Jordan Howard ruled out

Jalen Hurts and Boston Scott to be listed questionable for Sunday’s game against the New York Jets while Jordan Howard has been ruled out. Hurts is going to be listed as questionable officially with an ankle injury but he is expected to suit up and start for the Eagles. If he were unable to play for some reason Gardner Minshew would draw the start. Minshew starting would likely lead to more pass catching opportunities for the receivers and more rushing opportunities for the backs as Jalen Hurts usually commands a heavy rush share. Howard missed last week and will miss once again this week. In his absence Boston Scott saw the bulk of the carries and work in the backfield while both Miles Sanders and Kenneth Gainwell mixed in. This could again be the case this weekend in an even better matchup against the Jets. It might be best to avoid the Eagles backfield going forward as the lead back seems to shift weekly. It will be important to check inactives when they are released 90 minutes prior to kickoff as Miles Sanders would become a better play if Scott was forced to miss.

Jaelon Darden

Seattle Seahawks
12/03/21, 12:25 PM ET

TBB WR Jaelon Darden out for Sunday

Jaelon Darden has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons. This seemed like a possibility after Breshad Perriman was signed from the practice squad less than an hour ago at the time of writing. Darden was expected to serve as receiver depth and play on special teams, Perriman will fill this role now and is not expected to be DFS relevant.

TBB WR Breshad Perriman signed to 53-man roster from practice squad

Breshad Perriman has been signed to the 53-man roster from the practice squad ahead of Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons. This signing was likely done in response to Antonio Brown’s three game suspension. Perriman is expected to serve as receiver depth and is not expected to be DFS relevant at this time.

Daniel Jones

Indianapolis Colts
12/03/21, 11:37 AM ET

NYG QB Daniel Jones ruled out for Sunday

As expected, Daniel Jones has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins. With Jones forced to miss, Mike Glennon will start for the Giants with the newly signed Jake Fromm available to back him up. Glennon should be a downgrade from Jones and all Giants pass-catchers should see their expected production decrease. This could lead to a small bump for the Giants running backs as HC Joe Judge could elect to focus more on the run game. Glennon is not a play himself (despite his price) as he has not been impressive anywhere he has played and lacks the rushing upside of other quarterbacks to provide a safe floor.

D'Andre Swift

Chicago Bears
12/03/21, 11:15 AM ET

DET RB D'Andre Swift (shoulder) officially out Sunday

As expected, D’Andre Swift (shoulder) is officially out for Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings. Swift is expected to miss a couple weeks with a shoulder injury so Jamaal Williams should be set to lead the backfield, as stated by HC Dan Campbell. If Williams sees the same role that Swift enjoyed he can be considered in most formats due to expected volume. Williams will be one of the top running back options on the slate this week.

Amari Cooper

Las Vegas Raiders
12/02/21, 8:02 PM ET

Status Update: DAL WR Amari Cooper not seen taking many reps in pregame warmups

Amari Cooper was not seen taking many reps in pregame warmups which is a cause for concern. A Cowboys beat reporter shared this information and said to proceed with caution if you are considering Cooper tonight. This could mean he is limited or it could mean absolutely nothing, but it is very rare for a player to not warmup prior to a game. If Cooper is limited Michael Gallup would be the biggest benefactor.
