K Brian Johnson to be signed by the Washington Football Team off of the Chicago Bears practice squad
Brian Johnson will be signed by the Washington Football Team off of the Chicago Bears practice squad and should handle the kicking duties while Joey Slye misses the next few weeks dealing with a hamstring injury.
As reported by: Nicki JhabvalaWAS K Joey Slye (hamstring) expected to miss 3 weeks
Joey Slye is expected to miss 3 weeks after injuring his hamstring against the Seattle Seahawks Monday night. The Washington Football Team currently does not have any other kickers on the roster so they will need to sign another one before this weekend’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
As reported by: Grant PaulsenCLE WR Rashard Higgins and FB Andy Janovich inactive Sunday
Rashard Higgins and Andy Janovich have been listed inactive for Sunday night’s game against the Baltimore Ravens. With no Higgins, the top two receivers for the Browns will be Jarvis Landry and Donovan Peoples-Jones. While they should see the bulk of the wide receiver targets it is likely the three tight ends (Austin Hooper, Harrison Bryant, and David Njoku) play an even larger role in the passing game than normal. Also expect the returning Kareem Hunt to play a prominent role in the passing game as well. With a full backfield (Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt, D’Ernest Johnson, and Demetric felton) and the three tight ends listed earlier there was no need for Andy Janovich to be active. His absence will likely not be DFS relevant.
As reported by: Cleveland Browns Other tagged players: Andy JanovichBAL WR Marquise Brown officially active Sunday; TE Josh Oliver inactive
As expected Marquise Brown is officially active for Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns. Brown will be able to return after a one game absence due to a hamstring injury. It seemed as though he was trending in the right direction the whole week after logging multiple practices. Brown could still play fewer snaps but this shouldn’t hurt his overall output too much. Rashod Bateman should be the top target for the Ravens when Brown is not on the field making him a slightly better play. Josh Oliver was listed inactive, with Mark Andrews, Nick Boyle, and Eric Tomlinson all available the Ravens will not need a fourth tight end.
As reported by: Baltimore Ravens Other tagged players: Josh OliverGBP RB Aaron Jones and WR Allen Lazard both officially active Sunday
Aaron Jones and Allen Lazard are both officially active for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams. With Aaron Jones active but likely limited the Packers will most likely split carries between Jones and AJ Dillon hurting both of their values. It will probably be best to avoid the Packers backfield with the concerns over the playing time and role of each member. Allen Lazard is also active, meaning he should remain in his role as wide receiver four behind Davante Adams, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and Randall Cobb. Lazard remains in consideration for large field GPPs but there are likely better options with a safer floor and a higher ceiling.
As reported by: Green Bay Packers Other tagged players: Allen LazardLAC RB Larry Rountree inactive Sunday
Larry Rountree has been listed inactive for Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos. With Rountree inactive both Josh Kelley and Justin Jackson will backup Austin Ekeler though neither figures to be DFS relevant at this point.
As reported by: Fernando RamirezATL RB Cordarrelle Patterson officially active Sunday
Cordarrelle Patterson is officially active for Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars Patterson is expected to reclaim his role as the top back in the Falcons backfield splitting time with Mike Davis, and Wayne Gallman would be available to back them both up. If Patterson were to be limited in any way, Mike Davis would be in line to see the bulk of the work with Gallman also mixing in. Though Patterson draws a good matchup it is tough to trust how many snaps he will see so it is best to fade him outside of large field GPPs as a high risk/high reward play.
As reported by: Field YatesCIN WR Auden Tate inactive Sunday
As expected after being listed doubtful Friday, Auden Tate has been listed inactive for Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.T ate was not expected to play a major role and with Tate ruled out, Mike Thomas and Stanley Morgan would likely see any snaps that Tate would have seen. Tate was only expected to serve in a depth role so his absence is not expected to be DFS relevant this weekend.
As reported by: Jay MorrisonCAR WR Terrace Marshall and TE Colin Thompson inactive Sunday
Terrace Marshall and Colin Thompson have both been listed inactive for Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins. With Terrace Marshall inactive, Shi Smith will serve as the third receiver for the Panthers and should see a decent amount of snaps, though not enough to be considered for DFS contests. Colin Thompson was expected to serve as tight end depth and his absence should not be considered DFS relevant.
As reported by: DaShawn Brown Other tagged players: Colin ThompsonPIT TE Kevin Rader inactive Sunday
Kevin Rader has been listed inactive for Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Rader was expected to serve as tight end depth and his absence should not be considered DFS relevant. Pat Freiermuth should see the bulk of the tight end snaps and targets with Zach Gentry available to back him up.
As reported by: Pittsburgh SteelersJAC TE Luke Farrell inactive for Sunday
Luke Farrell has been listed inactive for Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons. With the return of James O’Shaughnessy, Farrell has lost his role as the backup to Dan Arnold. Arnold is still expected to handle almost all of the receiving duties for the Jacksonville tight ends so O’Shaughnessy should not be considered DFS relevant at this time.
As reported by: Michael DiRoccoNYJ WR Corey Davis and RB La'Mical Perine inactive Sunday
Corey Davis and La’Mical Perine have both been listed as inactive for Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans. As expected after being downgraded to doubtful yesterday Davis will be unable to play. With Davis out, Elijah Moore and Jamison Crowder will be the top two receiver for the Jets with Keelan Cole also slated to play a role. Elijah Moore is worthy of consideration after he has impressed the last few weeks and gets an uptick in expected production with Davis out. La’Mical Perine was expected to serve as the third running back but Austin Walter (who was recently elevated) will now step into that role.
As reported by: Brian Costello Other tagged players: La'Mical PerineHOU TE Jordan Akins inactive Sunday
Jordan Akins has been listed inactive for Sunday’s game against the New York Jets. Akins has seen his role decrease with the emergence of Brevin Jordan and know finds himself inactive for the second straight week. Jordan and Pharaoh Brown should split the bulk of the tight end snaps though neither is very DFS relevant at this point due to the split.
As reported by: Houston Texans PRNYG WR Kadarius Toney and TE Kyle Rudolph out Sunday
As expected after being listed doubtful on Friday, Kadarius Toney and TE Kyle Rudolph have been ruled out for Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles. With Toney and Shepard already ruled out the Giants receiving corps will be led by Kenny Golladay and Darius Slayton. Slayton and Golladay can both be considered as value options at their respective price points. With Rudolph ruled out the Giants will only have two healthy tight ends, Evan Engram and newly signed from the practice squad Chris Myarick. Engram can be considered in almost all formats as he should see a good amount of targets with both the Giants receivers and tight ends banged up.
As reported by: Pat Leonard Other tagged players: Kyle RudolphATL RB Cordarrelle Patterson will be a game-time decision Sunday
Cordarrelle Patterson will be a game-time decision Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars. If available, Patterson is expected to reclaim his role as the top back in the Falcons backfield splitting time with Mike Davis, and Wayne Gallman would be available to back them both up. If Patterson were to be ruled out, Mike Davis would likely be the lead back for Atlanta with Gallman also mixing in. Qadree Ollison (who was used heavily last week with Patterson out) has been dealing with a non-COVID related illness and was not elevated from the practice squad meaning more work for whichever backs are available for the Falcons on Sunday.
