ARI QB Kyler Murray and WR DeAndre Hopkins officially listed inactive Sunday
As expected, Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins have officially been listed as inactive Sunday when the Cardinals are scheduled to take on the San Francisco 49ers. With Kyler Murray officially ruled out, Colt McCoy will draw the start and all Cardinals pass-catchers will see a dip in expected production. With Hopkins also out, Christian Kirk and Rondale Moore will likely lead the receiving corps with tight end Zach Ertz also expected to play a larger role. All would become much better plays and could be considered in most formats based on expected volume.
As reported by: Arizona Cardinals Other tagged players: DeAndre HopkinsNOS TE Juwan Johnson inactive Sunday
Juwan Johnson has been listed inactive for Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons. With Johnson unavailable, Adam Trautman should play the primary tight end role with Garrett Griffin available to back him up and for two tight end sets. Trautman as well as the receiving corps of the Saints will all see a slight boost due to Johnson’s absence but they are still not advised as the best plays.
As reported by: Armando SalgueroCAR WR Shi Smith inactive Sunday
Shi Smith has been listed inactive for Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots. With Terrace Marshall back from concussion protocol, Smith’s role as wide receiver three has been taken over. The Carolina receiving corps should continue to be led by D.J. Moore and Robby Anderson.
As reported by: David NewtonMIN WR Ihmir Smith-Marsette inactive Sunday
Ihmir Smith-Marsette has been listed as inactive for Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens. Smith-Marsette’s role will likely be filled by Dede Westbrook though this is not DFS relevant. The receiving corps should continue to be led by Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen.
As reported by: Armando SalgueroNEP WR N'Keal Harry and RB J.J. Taylor inactive Sunday
N’Keal Harry and J.J. Taylor have been listed inactive for Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers. Harry had been dealing with an injury all week so this wasn’t surprising. The recently elevated Kristian Wilkerson should fill his role but is not DFS relevant at this point. J.J. Taylor will be a healthy scratch as it seems to be a Rhamondre Stevenson week for the Patriots. Stevenson should assume his normal role in the backfield but is not expected to be DFS relevant.
As reported by: Armando Salguero Other tagged players: J.J. TaylorMIA WR Preston Williams and TE Hunter Long inactive for Sunday
Preston Williams and Hunter Long have been listed inactive for Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans. Jaylen Waddle, Mike Gesicki, and Mack Hollins should play a larger role in the passing game with Williams gone but their prospects are limited with Jacoby Brissett at quarterback. Adam Shaheen should now fill the backup tight end role with no Hunter Long.
As reported by: Armando Salguero Other tagged players: Hunter LongCIN WR Auden Tate and WR Trenton Irwin inactive Sunday
Auden Tate and Trenton Irwin have been listed inactive Sunday against the Cleveland Browns. Neither projected to play a very important role today but it is worth noting that all indications were that Tate would be available to play after dealing with an injury all week. Mike Thomas and Stanley Morgan could see the few snaps, if any, that Tate and Irwin were going to see.
As reported by: Mike Petraglia Other tagged players: Trenton IrwinBAL WR Sammy Watkins and RB Latavius Murray inactive Sunday
Latavius Murray was expected to be out but it is kind of a surprise that Sammy Watkins was listed inactive when indications were that he was trending towards playing Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings. With Murray out, Devonta Freeman, Le’Veon Bell and Ty’Son Williams will continue to split the work in the Ravens backfield though none are worth playing in DFS at this point. With Watkins out, Rashod Bateman becomes a much better play and should have no competition to serve in the wide receiver two role behind Marquise Brown.
As reported by: Doug Kyed Other tagged players: Latavius MurrayJAC RB James Robinson is out Sunday
As expected, James Robinson is out Sunday against the Buffalo Bills. Carlos Hyde will lead the backfield with Dare Ogunbowale and Devine Ozigbo available to back him up. It feels awful to do, but Hyde needs to be considered as a value option based on expected volume in a tough matchup.
As reported by: Ian RapoportMIA QB Tua Tagovailoa will not start Sunday; Jacoby Brissett will start
Tua Tagovailoa will not start Sunday, Jacoby Brissett will start in his place against the Houston Texans. With this news all Miami pass-catchers take a hit and should not be considered in cash games (Waddle and Gesicki were options prior to this news). Brissett doesn’t offer much value either as he has not been impressive so far this season.
As reported by: Adam SchefterCAR QB Sam Darnold "to start today" barring any pregame setbacks
Carolina’s plan is for Sam Darnold “to start today” barring any pregame setbacks according to sources. It looks as though the Panthers will have their starting quarterback and starting running back (Christian McCaffrey was activated off IR yesterday) back when they face off against the New England Patriots. This is good news for all Carolina pass-catchers as they would have taken a hit if P.J. Walker ended up drawing the start. This is still a tough matchup against a tough Patriots defense so Darnold likely shouldn’t be considered for DFS purposes but a pass catcher like D.J. Moore can be played with more confidence now.
As reported by: Adam SchefterDEN QB Drew Lock (COVID) ruled out Sunday
Drew Lock has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys. Brett Rypien will now serve as the backup to Teddy Bridgewater.
As reported by: Nick KosmiderNYG WR Kenny Golladay expected to play Sunday
Kenny Golladay seemed to be trending in the right direction all week and is now expected to play Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders. Golladay and Kadarius Toney should lead the Giants receiving corps (with Shepard already ruled out) and can be considered for DFS in a game environment that could wind up being a shootout. It is also worth noting that Saquon Barkley has been ruled out so Devontae Booker will lead the backfield again this week.
As reported by: Art StapletonCLE WR Donovan Peoples-Jones expected to start Sunday
Donovan Peoples-Jones, who has been dealing with a groin injury, is expected to start Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals. DPJ is being called upon to fill the role of recently departed OBJ and this will be his first test. DPJ should see a healthy amount of targets in his first game as the number two receiver (not due to injuries) behind Jarvis Landry and is much better value play now at his current salary. He can be considered for DFS purposes but it is also possible that Cleveland will lean on its run game and tight ends rather than their receivers today.
As reported by: Ian RapoportDAL WR CeeDee Lamb and WR Amari Cooper will play Sunday
As expected, CeeDee Lamb and Amari Cooper will play Sunday against the Denver Broncos. This was always the assumption and there were multiple reports stating that there was no real need for concern about either players’ status. If Lamb or Cooper were to be limited in some fashion Cedric Wilson (Michael Gallup still not able to return from IR) could play a larger role in the offense and see some more targets. Both Lamb and Cooper should be considered in most formats as they have consistently proven to be capable receivers, especially with Dak Prescott at the helm.
