Rams place Cooper Kupp on Reserve/COVID-19 list

The Rams have placed Cooper Kupp on the Reserve/COVID-19 list. They can’t seem to catch a break on the injury front over the last few weeks – they’re already down Jared Goff, Darrell Henderson and now Kupp while still trying to fight for their playoff lives. Kupp’s floor/ceiling would have already been impacted by Goff’s absence, and even with Kupp now out, Robert Woods isn’t jumping off the page given the dampened outlook on the Rams offense. Josh Reynolds should see his target share spike and rookie Van Jefferson should expect to see the field more. Both tight ends could also benefit from the leftover targets in the middle of the field.

Damien Harris inactive Monday night

Damien Harris is inactive Monday night, setting Sony Michel up to handle early-down work with JJ Taylor working in behind him and James White continuing to handle passing down work. Michel does set up as one of the better Showdown values given his expanding role, although New England is expected to play from behind as touchdown underdogs against a potent Bills offense.

Bills not expected to activate John Brown before Monday's game

The Bills aren’t expected to activate John Brown before Monday night’s meeting with the Patriots. They’d need to activate him by 4 PM ET, and at this point it looks very unlikely that happens. With Brown out, Gabriel Davis will see more run as the 3rd WR behind Stefon Diggs and Cole Beasley, primarily operating against the Patriots outside CBs. Especially in Showdown formats, Davis’ value spikes with Brown out of action. Isaiah McKenzie could see some added run behind Davis, but he’s nothing more than a dart throw GPP play.

Jamaal Williams inactive tonight

Jamaal Williams is inactive tonight, as expected. That leaves Aaron Jones as the top back as usual, but could mean some more work for AJ Dillon. The game will be played in the snow, which could lead to more running, depending how bad the weather ends up being.

Ezekiel Elliott active today

Ezekiel Elliott will be active today after missing last week. He should return to his role as the top back, returning Tony Pollard to his backup role. Elliott does carry more risk than usual, given the injury and the strong performance by Pollard last week.

Christian McCaffrey inactive, as expected

Christian McCaffrey is inactive Sunday, as expected given his doubtful injury designation. Mike Davis will once again work as the top back for the Panthers, while Rodney Smith will work as the second back. Smith has seen his role expand recently, which takes some of the value away from Davis.

Antonio Gibson is active today; Alex Smith, Terry McLaurin both inactive

Antonio Gibson is active today, while Alex Smith and Terry McLaurin are both inactive. None of these moves are surprising, but Alex Smith being inactive does make it clear that Dwayne Haskins will be the starter today.
