Dwayne Haskins expected to start today

Dwayne Haskins is reportedly expected to start today, although the Football Team still hasn’t announced anything official. Inactives may help clarify this situation, once released, but Haskins is the starter barring a further unexpected change.

Schefter: Keenan Allen, Terry McLaurin not expected to play; Antonio Gibson, Allen Robinson and Tyreek Hill are expected to play

Adam Schefter released a series of updates overnight: Keenan Allen and Terry McLaurin are not expected to play, while Antonio Gibson, Allen Robinson and Tyreek Hill are expected to play. These players’ statuses will all still need to be confirmed when inactives are released, but this report is a pretty good indicator of what to expect. Schefter did also mention that the Chiefs would monitor Hill and be smart with him, although we don’t know exactly what that means. Hill is explosive enough to have a massive day even if his snaps are limited.

Ezekiel Elliott

Los Angeles Chargers

Ezekiel Elliott reportedly expected to play Sunday despite being listed as questionable this week

Ezekiel Elliott is reportedly expected to play Sunday despite being listed as questionable this week and being limited in practice. This is certainly a positive sign for his availability, but his status will still need to be monitored before kickoff. He appeared likely to play last week and was scratched, which made Tony Pollard a fantastic play. Pollard is likely to still have a role this week, even if Elliott plays, but his role is obviously significantly larger if Elliott doesn’t play.

DeVante Parker

Philadelphia Eagles
12/26/20, 8:20 PM ET

DeVante Parker inactive; Mike Gesicki and Jakeem Grant both active

The Dolphins are getting healthier, although DeVante Parker will be inactive again. Both Mike Gesicki and Jakeem Grant will be active, and the return of Gesicki means TEs Adam Shaheen and Durham Smythe will return to smaller roles in the passing game.

Khadarel Hodge

Atlanta Falcons
12/26/20, 7:10 PM ET

KhaDarel Hodge also going on COVID-19 reserve list. Browns now without 4 WRs, game is still scheduled to be played.

KhaDarel Hodge is also going on the COVID-19 reserve list, joining Jarvis Landry, Rashard Higgins and Donovan Peoples-Jones. The game is still scheduled to be played, and the NFL has already established that they will not cancel games due to outbreaks within a specific position group. Expect heavy use of the TEs and RBs all day.

Jarvis Landry

New Orleans Saints
12/26/20, 7:11 PM ET

Jarvis Landry, Rashard Higgins and Donovan Peoples-Jones going on COVID-19 reserve list, will miss Sunday

The Browns will be without nearly all their usual WRs Sunday, with Landry, Higgins and Peoples-Jones headed to the COVID-19 list. KhaDarel Hodge is also expected to be placed on the list. We should have more updates soon, but the Browns offense should be significantly limited Sunday.

James Robinson

New Orleans Saints
12/26/20, 5:17 PM ET

James Robinson reportedly ruled out for Sunday

James Robinson has reportedly already been ruled out for Sunday. The Jaguars’ RB situation now is almost a complete mystery, with Robinson essentially handling all the work so far this season. Dare Ogunbowale and Devine Ozigbo are the two top active backs, and Nathan Cottrell will also be active. Playing any RB here will have a lot of risk, but there is some nice value if you’re able to pick the right back.

As reported by: Ian Rapoport Other tagged players: Devine Ozigbo, Dare Ogunbowale, Nathan Cottrell

Maxx Williams

Arizona Cardinals
12/26/20, 4:33 PM ET

Maxx Williams inactive

Maxx Williams is inactive Saturday, leaving Dan Arnold to work as the top TE option with Darrell Daniels behind him. Arnold has been consistently getting the majority of the TE targets, and that shouldn’t change today.

Mike Glennon

New York Giants
12/26/20, 1:09 PM ET

Jaguars starting Mike Glennon Sunday

The Jaguars are reportedly starting Mike Glennon Sunday, moving Gardner Minshew back to the bench. The Jaguars can secure the top pick in the NFL draft if they lose their remaining games, and Glennon gives them a good chance. He had a strong start Week 12, but was terrible the next two weeks. Glennon is an extremely risky play this week, and it is hard to see significant upside anyways.

Daniel Jones

Indianapolis Colts
12/26/20, 1:16 PM ET

Daniel Jones will start tomorrow

Daniel Jones will start tomorrow for the Giants, returning after missing one game, and moving Colt McCoy back to the backup role. The fact Jones might not be 100%, combined with his overall regression this season, make him a very risky play.

DeSean Jackson

Baltimore Ravens
12/26/20, 12:59 PM ET

DeSean Jackson activated from IR, will play Sunday

DeSean Jackson has been activated from IR and will play Sunday. The veteran WR has been out over two months, last playing in Week 7. Even if Jackson’s role is more limited than usual, his return should still help Jalen Hurts by giving the Eagles another weapon to draw the attention of the opposing defense.

Golden Tate

Tennessee Titans
12/25/20, 7:26 PM ET

Golden Tate (calf) officially ruled out for Sunday

Tate was a mid-week addition to the injury report, and he’s officially been ruled out of Sunday’s Week 16 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens due to a calf injury. The Giants rarely use four wide-receiver sets, so more than likely just one of Austin Mack or C.J. Board will see snaps at wide receiver with Tate sidelined, but with Board running sporadic routes over the last weeks, he may be the leading candidate to step into a larger role when New York finds themselves in base 1-1 personnel sets. However, either way, it’s difficult to imagine Board or Mack seeing enough volume to become relevant on daily fantasy slates across the industry this weekend.

Terry McLaurin

Washington Commanders
12/25/20, 2:23 PM ET

Terry McLaurin (ankle) listed as doubtful for Sunday

McLaurin was held out of practice for a third consecutive day, which has become a norm for him in recent weeks, but he’s officially been listed as doubtful on Washington’s injury report for Sunday’s Week 16 matchup against the Carolina Panthers due to an ankle injury. With Dwayne Haskins potentially set to receive another start under center, McLaurin’s could have been in line to see a noteworthy increase in target share since he’s averaged just over 9.5 targets per game when Haskins is at quarterback this season. However, with McLaurin on track to be inactive, Haskins or Alex Smith will be likely be left with some combination of Cam Sims, Steven Sims, and Isaiah Wright as his top options at wide receiver in three-wide sets this weekend.

Julio Jones

Philadelphia Eagles
12/25/20, 1:18 PM ET

Julio Jones (hamstring) officially ruled out for Sunday

Jones still hasn’t practiced at all in the last three weeks, and he’s officially been ruled out of Sunday’s Week 16 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs due to an ever-nagging hamstring injury that will now keep him sidelined for a third consecutive week. This will be the sixth game overall that Jones has missed this season on top of being limited in a few others, and while he’s struggled to remain healthy, his mere presence on the field is typically a tremendous boost for quarterback Matt Ryan and the Falcons’ offensive efficiency in general. Olamide Zaccheus is still on injured reserve, so in Jones’ absence, some combination of Brandon Powell, Laquon Treadwell, and maybe Christian Blake will see reps at wide receiver opposite of Calvin Ridley on the outside. Ridley and Hayden Hurst are the obvious candidates for an increase in target share, while Powell appears to have the edge for the first crack at the aforementioned vacated routes.

George Kittle

San Francisco 49ers
12/25/20, 12:25 AM ET

George Kittle (foot) will play on Saturday

The 49ers officially activated Kittle from injured reserve, and head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed with reporters that Kittle will play in Saturday’s Week 16 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals after missing six games due to a foot injury. Shanahan is notorious for misleading quotes in the media, but he did reiterate that the team plans to ease Kittle back into action, and he’ll be on “somewhat of a snap count” in this weekend’s contest. There’s no way to know exactly what this means for Kittle’s projected fantasy value, but he’ll remain a viable tournament target on Saturday’s abbreviated three-game slates across the daily fantasy industry.
