Confirming earlier reports, Kyle Rudolph is inactive while Irv Smith is active today. That means Irv Smith will work as the top TE for the Vikings, although he still has some injury-related risk after being limited with a back injury. Tyler Conklin will work as the backup TE.

Leonard Fournette is inactive today, a healthy scratch for the RB. This should lead to more work for Ronald Jones, with LeSean McCoy and Ke’Shawn Vaughn working behind him. Neither McCoy nor Vaughn have been getting work recently, so the backup RB situation here isn’t clear, but this news only solidifies Jones’ role as the top RB.

There have been mixed reports about Brandin Cooks, but Ian Rapoport indicated Cooks will be out today. The Texans’ WR situation is a mess, and it is fair to expect the TEs and RBs to factor heavily into the passing game. Keke Coutee and Chad Hansen are the clear top WR options remaining, and Duke Johnson should be active in the passing game. Look for an additional update on Cooks when inactives are released.

Elliott should be able to handle near his normal workload if active, which would severely limit Tony Pollard. Tee Higgins could carry some injury related risk, since he is working through a hamstring injury. Kenyan Drake and DeAndre Hopkins appear good to handle their normal workload.

Christian McCaffrey reportedly will not play today, but he still hopes to return this season. This has been a disappointing season for CMC due to injuries, but it has given Mike Davis an unexpected chance as a lead back. Davis will once again be the clear top RB for the Panthers on Sunday.

The Raiders are expected to have Josh Jacobs active after the second-year back missed last week’s meeting with the Jets. Jacobs was able to get some practice in on Thursday and Friday which had him trending in the right direction, and it does appear he’ll end up active. We’ll update again once things are official.

Per Schefter, the Lions will have both Matthew Stafford and D’Andre Swift in action on Sunday. Swift has missed a few games with concussion-related issues but should be able to take on a near-normal workload in what should be an uphill battle for Detroit against Green Bay. The Texans are fortunate to likely have both Brandin Cooks and Keke Coutee with Will Fuller already out of action, giving Deshaun Watson some viable weapons to work with on the road in Chicago. The Vikings aren’t expected to have Kyle Rudolph active Sunday which is a blow to the offense, but they are expected to get Irv Smith back. Smith and Rudolph tend to canabilize each other when both are active, so this could be a nice spot for Smith to get a little more work in the passing game.
