Deonte Harris ruled out for tomorrow
Deonte Harris has been ruled out for tomorrow, meaning Juwan Johnson and Tommylee Lewis should work as the 4th and 5th WR options.
As reported by: New Orleans Saints Other tagged players: Tommylee Lewis, Juwan JohnsonMyles Gaskin placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list, out this week
Myles Gaskin has been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list, ruling him out this week or longer. DeAndre Washington should step in and get the most work at RB, assuming he is active after missing last week with a hamstring injury. Patrick Laird should work behind him, while newly called up Elijah McGuire is the third back. The Dolphins were without Gaskin in Week 12, and Washington led the team with 13 carries. Matt Breida, already out for this week, got the second most carries for the Dolphins. This situation is setting up fairly nicely for DeAndre Washington.

KhaDarel Hodge has been ruled out, while Austin Hooper is officially questionable for Monday night. Jarvis Landry should continue to see a large target share, with Rashard Higgins also seeing increased work. Austin Hooper sounds like a true game time decision, so the situation needs to be monitored on Monday. If Hooper is out, Harrison Bryant would step into a larger role as the top TE, with David Njoku behind him.

Johnson was absent from Friday’s practice as he dealt with a personal matter, and the Texans have announced that they will be placing him on the reserve/COVID-19 list as a high-risk close contact, effectively ruling him out of Sunday’s Week 14 matchup against the Chicago Bears as he needs to have five negative tests at least 24 hours apart before rejoining team activities. This should leave Duke Johnson as the undisputed lead running back once again after logging at least a 77.1% snap rate and running a minimum of 22 pass routes on dropbacks in the previous two games David Johnson was sidelined. Additionally, C.J. Prosise has accumulated just eight total touches as the backup running back over this span, only further adding to Johnson’s viability in daily fantasy formats across the industry
As reported by: Texans PR via TwitterKyle Rudolph (foot) listed as doubtful for Sunday; Alexander Mattison (appendix) remains out
Rudolph was unable to make it onto the practice field at any point during the week, and he’s officially been listed as doubtful on the Vikings’ injury report for Sunday’s Week 14 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccanneers due to a foot injury. Even though his outlook seems bleak, head coach Mike Zimmer referred to Rudolph as a “quick healer” and was unwilling to shut the door on the possibility of him playing in this weekend’s contest. However, it appears as if Irv Smith Jr. will serve as the primary pass-catching tight end for quarterback Kirk Cousins, and he should be a full-go after getting in two full practice sessions to end the week despite recovering from a groin injury that’s kept him sidelined for multiple games.
As reported by: Chris Tomasson via Twitter Other tagged players: Alexander MattisonSalvon Ahmed (shoulder) officially ruled out for Sunday
Ahmed still hasn’t been able to practice, and he’s officially been ruled out of Sunday’s Week 13 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs due to a shoulder injury that’s now forced him to miss three games. With Matt Breida still on the reserve/COVID-19 list, the Dolphins are on pace to be shorthanded in the backfield for a third consecutive week, especially if DeAndre Washington isn’t elevated from the practice squad before the deadline on Saturday afternoon. All signs do point to Washington being promoted to the active roster, Myles Gaskin still would be a strong favorite to resume the previous workhorse role given the Dolphins’ hesitance to give Patrick Laird any meaningful work in the ground game. Laird may mix in as a change of pace in this hypothetical, but Gaskin remains a tremendous daily fantasy option for all formats across the industry this weekend.
As reported by: Cameron Wolfe via TwitterJulio Jones (hamstring) officially ruled out for Sunday
Jones was held out of practice to begin the week, and he’s officially been ruled out of Sunday’s Week 14 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers due to his ever-nagging hamstring injury. This will be the fourth game Jones has missed this season on top of being limited in a few others, and while he’s struggled to remain healthy, his mere presence on the field is a tremendous boost for quarterback Matt Ryan and the Falcons’ offensive efficiency in general. Olamide Zaccheus is still on injured reserve, so in Jones’ absence, some combination of Christian Blake, Brandon Powell, or Laquon Treadwell will see reps at wide receiver opposite of Calvin Ridley on the outside. Ridley and Hayden Hurst are the obvious candidates for an increase in target share, while Blake appears to have the edge for the first crack at the aforementioned vacated routes.
As reported by: James Palmer via TwitterKenny Golladay (hamstring) unlikely to play Sunday
Golladay still hasn’t been able to practice since sustaining a hip injury back in Week 8, and he’s officially been ruled out for Sunday’s Week 14 matchup against the Green Bay Packers, marking the seventh consecutive game he’s been sidelined despite never being placed on injured reserve. This means that Marvin Jones Jr., Danny Amendola, and one of Mohamed Sanu or Quintez Cephus will round out three-wide sets for quarterback Matthew Stafford, though Sanu appears to currently have the upper hand on Cephus after running nearly double the routes on passing downs during last Sunday’s contest. So, if that trend continues, Sanu should theoretically command a much larger target share than the 4.9% rate he saw last time out and makes for an intriguing tournament option on this weekend’s daily fantasy slates across the industry.
As reported by: Chris Burke via TwitterChristian McCaffrey (shoulder) not expected to play Sunday
There was originally optimism for McCaffrey’s game status for this Sunday’s Week 14 matchup against the Denver Broncos after he was limited in Wednesday’s practice, but McCaffrey was sidelined on Thursday, and head coach Matt Rhule admitted to reporters on his Zoom press conference that he doesn’t expect McCaffrey to play this weekend. In his absence, Mike Davis should receive another start at running back, but in the Panthers’ last game back in Week 12, he saw just 57.8% of snaps despite accumulating 15 carries and commanding an 18.8% target share in that contest. Davis will obviously be in play for tournament formats on daily fantasy sites across the industry, but he’s no longer a lock and load option in cash games with Curtis Samuel and backups Rodney Smith and Trenton Cannon getting progressively more involved over the last few weeks.
As reported by: Joe Person via TwitterDenzel Mims (personal) won't play Sunday
Mims had to leave the team to tend to a personal matter back at home in Texas, so he’s officially been ruled out of Sunday’s Week 14 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks as he’ll be unable to pass COVID-19 protocols in time for the aforementioned contest. Mims has led the Jets in total targets over the previous four weeks, even with Jamison Crowder active, so his absence will certainly open up a number of opportunities for Crowder, Breshad Perriman, and maybe even Jeff Smith, who should receive the first shot at filling in as the third wide receiver in the three-wide sets. This makes Crowder and Perriman potential value options at their suppressed price tags for daily fantasy formats across the industry this weekend.
As reported by: Brian Costello via TwitterDez Bryant tests positive for COVID-19, officially ruled out Tuesday night
Bryant reportedly had an inconclusive test result from his most recent round of COVID-19 testing, and following a rapid test performed during pregame warmups, he’s officially been ruled out of Tuesday’s Week 13 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys due to a confirmed positive test. This news came well after the Ravens’ inactive list was released for tonight’s contest, so Bryant is a late scratch from the active roster, which will allow Devin Duvernay and Myles Boykin to step into undisputed top-three wide receiver roles this evening. Duvernay was already set to be a popular option on Tuesday’s single-game slates and now becomes an even stronger play in Bryant’s absence, but Boykin will be an interesting pivot in tournament formats given the additional opportunities that should be available in the passing game with Bryant, Willie Snead, and Mark Andrews all sidelined for COVID-19 related reasons.
As reported by: Jay Glazer via TwitterJalen Hurts will start at QB for the Eagles in Week 14
Head coach Doug Pederson officially announced that Hurts will take over as the Eagles’ starting quarterback for Sunday’s Week 14 matchup against the New Orleans Saints following his rejuvenating, albeit inconsistent, second-half performance in this past Sunday’s loss. While this might seem like the beginning of the end of Carson Wentz’s tenure in Philadelphia, that may not be the case given the construct of the guarantees in his contract, and it would not be all that surprising if Wentz starts at least one more game before the conclusion of the 2020 season. As for Hurts, he is unquestionably viewed as a raw quarterback prospect coming out of college, but his willingness to push the ball downfield and potential rushing upside make him an intriguing option for daily fantasy formats across the industry this weekend.
As reported by: Adam Schefter via TwitterTerry McLaurin (ankle) officially active Monday
McLaurin popped up on the practice report mid-week as a limited participant, but as expected, he will be active for Monday night’s matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers despite being listed as questionable on Washington’s injury report due to a lingering ankle injury. Assuming he doesn’t suffer any setbacks in pregame warmups or mid-game, McLaurin continues to have one of the highest floors in daily fantasy at the wide receiver position as the clear number one option for quarterback Alex Smith, and since he has an impressive 27.4% target share on the season thus far, he also has the ceiling necessary to be used in tournament formats on the two-game slates across the industry.
As reported by: Sam Fortier via TwitterPhillip Lindsay and Jerry Jeudy active tonight
Phillip Lindsay and Jerry Jeudy are both active tonight. With the return of QB Drew Lock, the Denver offense should be much better than last week, although that isn’t saying much. The statistics for the Broncos from last week should be completely ignored, and Jerry Jeudy will work as the top WR for Denver.
As reported by: Denver Broncos Other tagged players: Jerry JeudyClyde Edwards-Helaire active tonight
Clyde Edwards-Helaire is officially active tonight. While he remains the best RB option for the Chiefs, he has been extremely inconsistent over recent weeks. Having Le’Veon Bell might make the Chiefs better offensively, but it takes touches away from Edwards-Helaire and has made him a riskier play over the Chiefs’ past 5 games.
