Leonard Fournette expected to be active but limited Sunday
Fournette is expected to be active Sunday, but to have a smaller than usual workload. That means Ronald Jones should work again as the clear top back, with LeSean McCoy possibly picking up some work as well. In Week 5, Jones got all 17 of the non-QB rush attempts and had his second straight 100-yard rushing game, so the Bucs might not feel the need to push Fournette too hard.
As reported by: Adam Schefter Other tagged players: LeSean McCoy, Ronald JonesJarvis Landry, Breshad Perriman both reportedly expected to play Sunday
Both WRs had been listed as questionable, so it is a positive sign they’re expected to play. Jarvis Landry missed the first two practices this week, then was limited Friday, but the WR has often been limited in practice through his career and has never missed a game. Their statuses will still need to be confirmed tomorrow, but both should be active barring a setback pregame.
As reported by: Jeremy Fowler Other tagged players: Breshad PerrimanJordan Akins ruled out for Sunday
Jordan Akins will miss his second straight game on Sunday. Darren Fells should fill the top TE spot for Houston, while Pharaoh Brown will get a little work behind him. Fells (2 targets last week) and Brown (1 target last week) did little without Akins, making them essentially completely TD-dependent plays.
As reported by: Houston Texans PR Other tagged players: Pharaoh Brown, Darren FellsSammy Watkins ruled out for Monday
Watkins has been confirmed out for Monday, not a surprise after he was listed as doubtful. Mecole Hardman and Demarcus Robsinson will benefit behind top WR Tyreek Hill, who could see a larger target share than usual. This Chiefs’ offense is loaded, and Watkins’ absence just means more opportunity for the rest of their weapons.
As reported by: Adam Teicher Other tagged players: Mecole Hardman, Demarcus RobinsonJohn Brown questionable for Monday; no injury designation for Zach Moss
John Brown is officially questionable for Monday night, and appears likely to be a GTD. Zach Moss practiced fully all week and has no injury designation, meaning he is cleared to return. T.J. Yeldon was effective Week 5, but the return of Moss could take away his role in the offense. Devin Singletary will remain the top RB in this offense, but the situation behind him will need to be monitored Monday when inactives are released.
As reported by: Buffalo Bills PR Other tagged players: Zack Moss, T.J. Yeldon, Devin SingletaryNoah Fant out Sunday
Noah Fant has been ruled out for Week 6. Jake Butt and Nick Vannett should be the top TE options for the Broncos, while more of the passing game could go through the WRs and TEs Sunday. Albert Okwuegbunam could make his debut as the third TE, but shouldn’t be relevant for DFS.
As reported by: Troy Renck Other tagged players: Jake Butt, Nick Vannett, Albert OkwuegbunamDawson Knox ruled out for Monday
Dawson Knox has been ruled out for the Bills’ Monday night game. Tyler Kroft should be the biggest beneficiary, just like he was when Knox missed Week 3, a game where Kroft caught 4 out of 5 targets for 24 yards and 2 TDs. That type of stat line is obviously very TD-dependent, but the upside is there.
As reported by: Matt Parrino Other tagged players: Tyler KroftOdell Beckham Jr. cleared, expected to play Sunday
Odell Beckham Jr. had been dealing with a non-COVID illness this week, but is now cleared to play Sunday after receiving his second straight negative COVID test. OBJ will remain the top weapon in the passing attack, and having him is always a boost for QB Baker Mayfield.
As reported by: Tom Withers Other tagged players: Baker MayfieldMelvin Gordon (illness) doesn't travel with the Broncos, will be out Sunday
Gordon did not travel with the Broncos Saturday, meaning he will be out Sunday. He is reported to have strep throat, not COVID. Phillip Lindsay will be the top RB and becomes a strong value play, while Royce Freeman will see more work as the second RB. Jeremy Cox is expected to be called up as the third back, although his role should be minimal.
As reported by: Mike Klis Other tagged players: Phillip Lindsay, Royce Freeman, Jeremy CoxMelvin Gordon (illness) listed as questionable for Sunday
Gordon was sent home from the Broncos’ practice facilities on Friday because of a non-COVID related illness, and he’s officially been listed as questionable on the Bronco’s injury report for Sunday’s Week 6 matchup against the New England Patriots despite his DUI arrest earlier in the week. At this point it seems unlikely that Gordon will be suspended by the Broncos themselves, so as long as he is feeling better and passes the necessary COVID-19 protocol, testing, he should be active this weekend If Phillip Lindsay is healthy enough to carry a large portion of the running back workload, it is still possible Gordon may see his role reduced for an early sector of the game as punishment, which makes him an easy player to avoid in daily fantasy formats with the illness and a potential league suspension also hanging over his head for the foreseeable future.
As reported by: Zac Stevens via TwitterDeSean Jackson (hamstring) and Alshon Jeffery (foot) remain out for Week 6
Jackson was limited in practice all three days this week, but the Eagles have opted to be cautious with their veteran wideout, and he has officially been ruled out of Sunday’s Week 6 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens due to a nagging hamstring injury. Additionally, Alshon Jeffery’s activation from injured reserve will be delayed at least one additional week as he continues to get acclimated following offseason foot surgery, and this will allow Travis Fulgham and John Hightower to continue handling a majority of the reps at the outside wide receiver positions. Fulgham saw 86.5% of snaps and commanded a 36.1% market share of the targets from quarterback Carson Wentz in this past Sunday’s loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, so he’ll continue to be a fine option in daily fantasy formats on this weekend’s slates, though Hightower may be a viable pivot in tournaments after racking up 41% of the team’s air yards in their Week 5 contest.
As reported by: Mike Kaye via Twitter Other tagged players: Alshon JefferyMo Alie-Cox (knee) ruled out for Sunday
Alie-Cox was unable to participate in practice the entire week, and he’s unsurprisingly been ruled out of Sunday’s Week 6 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals due to a knee injury. While Alie-Cox’s absence on the field may not be too impactful, it does free up a number of tight end snaps for the likes of Trey Burton and Jack Doyle, both of whom have run a similar number of routes over the Colts’ previous two games. However, Burton has clearly been the more efficient and effective of the two as he’s accumulated at least a 17.9% target share over this span despite never logging over a 49.3% snap rate. Assuming Burton is able to take over snaps and routes vacated by Alie-Cox, he becomes a much more interesting daily fantasy option on the various slates across the industry this weekend.
As reported by: Kevin Bowen via TwitterJulio Jones (hamstring) will play Sunday
Jones was a limited participant in practice on Friday, but the Falcons feel comfortable enough with his health status that Jones wasn’t included on the Falcons’ official injury report for Sunday’s Week 6 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings despite coming off of a hamstring injury that forced him to miss one game. There have yet to be any reports about Jones potentially being limited in this weekend’s contest, but either way, his mere presence on the field is enough to remove Olamide Zaccheus from tournament consideration following his dud performance at the stone minimum price last Sunday afternoon. Given the uncertainty surrounding his injury, Jones sets up as an elite contrarian tournament target on the various Week 6 slates across the daily fantasy industry.
As reported by: William McFadden via TwitterDavante Adams (hamstring) will be "ready to go" on Sunday
Adams didn’t have any setbacks during the Packers bye week and was able to fully participate in practices all week, so he will be ready to go for Sunday’s Week 6 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccanneers after missing two games due to a hamstring injury. His return to the field will be a welcome boost to the Packers’ wide receivers corps, who had been led by Marquez Valdes-Scantling their last time out, and Adams will almost certainly reclaim his spot atop the Green Bay pecking order for targets from quarterback Aaron Rodgers in this weekend’s contest. Additionally, his mere presence could be impactful enough to put an end to the Robert Tonyan experience as the tight end accumulated 11 targets and four touchdowns in the two games Adams was sidelined.
As reported by: Rob Demovsky via TwitterDiontae Johnson (back) officially ruled out for Sunday
Johnson was limited in practice each of the last two days, but the Steelers have opted to take the cautious approach and ruled him out of Sunday’s Week 6 matchup against the Cleveland Browns due to a lingering back injury. With Johnson expected to be inactive, the target distribution in Pittsburgh becomes infinitely less murky with Chase Claypool and Juju Smith-Schuster likely set to be the team’s two primary wide receivers. However, despite Claypool’s breakout performance in Week 5’s win, James Washington still outpaced him with 31 routes run on passing plays, and while that’s a trend that seems unlikely to continue, it’s definitely worth keeping in mind when considering a popular Claypool in large-field tournaments for daily fantasy slates across the industry this weekend.
